How to Unclog Toilet without a Plunger!

- Follow these easy to follow steps for unclogging your toilet bowl without a plunger! Very effective, fast and cheap.
My father taught me this cool little tip when I was a child and it works like a charm.
PLEASE MAKE SURE not to use boiling water when doing this method or it could potentially crack your toilet bowl! Only use hot water from the tap.
This DIY method works great to unclog your toilet without a plunger if you do not have a plunger or prefer not to have one like me. I feel plungers are not that aesthetically pleasing to have in bathrooms. I also do not like having to clean them on a regular basis. Therefore, I decided a while ago to just start doing this method that my father taught me since I was a kid.

Bless you for this. I gave it a try the first time when my toilet was acting up and had no luck. I persisted and did the routine again, adding more water than before and using the wand to try and force it through some. After initially rising again, the water went down like a charm. Thank you so much! Genuinely made my night to see that toilet flush. Was so afraid it was about to become a huge issue.

After following your instructions, I could hear some water coming through, added more hot water and the toilet totally cleared up. It took only 10-15 minutes. Dude u are a hero, we called our complex maintenance for this issue and they said they were going to be here in 45 minutes n now it has been 10 hours still haven't showed up so I decided to look it up on TH-cam n Google, I tried so many different way never worked until I bumped into this one and boom! Dish wash for 30 mins, 2 bowls of hot sink water n it flushed itself.

I have been fighting with my toilet for over a week so I tried what you did. It worked! I used Ajax soap. Put it in. Waited about 15 minutes. Put 3 pitchers of hot water in slowly. Waited about 10 minutes and the water went down. Put one more pitcher of hot water, flushed it and it flushed BEAUTIFULLY! Thank you SO MUCH!!!

Thanks! I was skeptical and it didn't seem to work at first. Still clogged after letting the soap sit and pouring 3L of hot water. Then I flushed, nervously holding the mechanism by hand to prevent overflow. Then all of the sudden the whole thing unclogged in an instant! What a relief!

Ran across this video as my toilet was backed up and coming up in the bath drain. I used all kings of chemicals and was about to go into the crawl space when I tried this. Hit the plunger for about 5 minutes and loosened the clogged, could hear it through the whole house. Thanks! saved me from having to call a plumber.

I can’t believe this worked. We just moved to a brand new construction condo on the third floor. My daughter clogged the toilet, and we didn’t have a plunger, threw it away and thought we would buy a new one for the new house, but hadn’t yet. I don’t know why it’s always the girls that clog the toilet… Anyway, the water was to the very brim after her continuous flushing. I did about half a bottle of gain dish soap (small bottle), no room for hot water. Instantaneously the water went down about 3 inches then stopped. Give me just enough room to pour some hot water. At this point, I couldn’t even go buy a plunger, because putting the plunger in the toilet would have overflowed. I was terrified that the toilet would overflow onto the bottom floors which would have been terribly expensive since again This is brand new construction. Nothing happened with the hot water and I decided to call a plumber in the morning to figure it out. Decided a plumber would be less expensive than having to pay for damages. We close the toilet lid lay down to go to bed… And a huge swishing sound occurred. We all ran to the toilet lifted the lid shockingly it was gone!!! I literally couldn’t believe it. Now I don’t even want to buy a pledger because they’re just dirty and nasty anyways. Thank you! I’ve taught this trip to my older daughters, to save embarrassment, and as a realtor, I will be sharing this video to my client!

I eat a high fiber diet. The super had just used his toilet auger on my toilet, and he eventually got it unclogged. I clogged it again a few minutes after he left. I found your video, and it worked. You saved me from having to find a new apartment!

I was about to call a plumber as our toilet was clogged for two days after plunging repeatedly. My son found this video and asked me to try this method before I called a plumber. Well we had the "tools" to do it so we tried it. LIKE MAGIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Could not believe it, it flushed after the first bowl of water but we did do a second bowl. This is incredible!!!!! I used this method from another video and whilst I was waiting, I viewed this video which is very similar. About half way through, I heard the water gulp down the toilet!

I'm in Hemel Hempstead, Herts, UK and used Fairy Liquid.
This method was so quick and easy that I thought it useful to leave a recent review for others to get the feedback.
Tips I've seen but were unsure about say NOT to use boiling water. I now see the reason is because the sudden change in temperature could cause the toilet to crack.
I also had some Mr Muscle Drain Unblocker but it said NOT to use it in a toilet. I don't know why but I took the warning and hence looked further which led me to this and another similar video.
Now I've done reviews for both videos, I'll go back and give the bowl a proper clean.
One extra point that I've just remembered is that whilst I was waiting for it to clear, I closed the lid of the toilet to prevent and splashing from the bowl if it should gulp (as it did).

It DEFINITELY works!! My kids flushed (what I believed to be wipes) but turned out to be a Brand new BAR OF SOAP that went missing hours before the toilet clogged. After the dish soap, hot water & a couple times of plunging it flushed & even washed up the bar of soap... I was blowed but happy. I had been plunging & trying water flushes all afternoon until i ran across this... 11pm at night i saved the day !!! thank you

Wow. It actually worked. I used Dawn. The toilet was very slow draining this morning and making gurgling noises. The plunger and auger did nothing. Dawn + 2x bowls hot water and 2 flushes and it drains like a charm now.

After 2 years of this video being uploaded, I’m glad it’s still in circulation. I put this to use today and after the allotted duration, worked like a charm. When I first flushed it, it almost flooded my toilet, but stopped by the rim. I boiled two pots worth of water. My suggestion is if you’re adding more water then the video shows, allow a little bit more then a minute for the water to digest before 1 - adding the second bowl of water. 2 - flushing the toilet. After about 30 seconds from the flush, everything drained out completely.

This is amazing!! For three days I waited patiently for things to dissolve, etc; plunging all the while with the correct style plunger - to no avail. I found this, poured over 1 cup of blue (Sam's Club brand with the same ingredients as Dawn), waited about 45 minutes, and expected no change. I'm the guy who wrote to you 2 months ago when my toilet was plugged. I tried your method with the Dawn but it didn't work. Maybe I didn't let it sit long enough. So, yesterday, I had another clog. I thought I'd give your method one more shot. I poured in the small 8 oz. bottle of Dawn (just about 90% of it) and added the 2 bowls of hot tap water. This time I let it sit for about 15 min. Then I went to flush. After about 2 flushes, it worked!! Thanks a million....BTW... the first when it didn't work I called a plumber. He came over to snake it out. He was here 5 minutes. The bill came for $170!.

Honestly! My toilet was backed up for 3 days. I done everything. Bin bags around the arm trying to dig out anything in (I know!) plunger. The water simply wouldn’t go down. Was at the rim almost. Done this: Small pumping actions of the flusher to create a little suction and it just flew down. Big thank you pal!

#1 : We had to take your word for it that your toilet was plugged. #2 : The whole bottle of dish soap was 16oz. #3 : What you actually poured into the toilet bowl was more like 1-2 oz. HOWEVER, it worked like a charm! I had to go through your process 2 times. I emptied faster but still wasn't like it should be, so I Bazooka plungered it 2 times! After 4 days of a clogged toilet, I'm screaming YES! IT WORKED! Thank-you SO MUCH!!!

This works! I started out looking for videos that would help me to figure out which of the snake tools that unclog drains to purchase from Amazon. I needed help get rid of a small bone I believe I dropped in my toilet when I emptied what appeared to be pot liquor from a pot. There were a lot of back-ups every time I use it afterward. But, Instead, I found you. The way I found you is because I don't like long-drawn-out videos brought out videos. And yours was short. So, here I go demonstrating what you showed and I do not believe it worked it seemed to have a little stagnation to it so I try it again at this time I didn't have dish liquid anymore so I use some body wash liquid body wash. Low and behold it worked again and better. It's as if my toilet is 100% unclogged! Ty👄💗

My girlfriend needed to pee so she was freaking out. I gave this a shot and poured in the soap. I let it sit for 30 minutes, came back and poured in the water. Waited for a minute and flushed it. Guess what happened NOTHING! So now me and my girl are in the bathroom arguing about what to do now. She was just about to kill me when all of a sudden, WITHOUT FLUSHING, the thing unclogged!!! Best tutorial EVER! You’ve saved my life man LITERALLY!!!
Great to hear it! Yayyy!!! Yeah, sometimes the clog can take a minute or two after pouring in the hot water before it clears it. There has been many many people that have commented saying the same thing. They will pour in the hot water and....nothing. Then 10 minutes later, they will hear the toilet free the clog from the other room! Haha Thanks for sharing your experience!

This really works. My toilet was clogged I even had the maintenance guy in my apartment come and "fix" the toilet yesterday and today it was clogged again. I put hot water from the sink, I put shampoo in the toilet and let it sit for about 5 minutes. I do have a plunger so I did use that as well and my toilet flushed perfectly. I flushed it 3 times just to make sure it was working and use enough it is. THANK YOU SO MUCH ❤❤❤
