After watching this video in its entirety, you inspired me to get up off my butt, roll up my sleeves, and march back to the clogged toilet. Armed with the knowledge gleaned from this video I now had the resolve not to give up after 10, 20, or even 30 pumps of the plunger. The toilet in question belongs to the smallest, cleanest people in the world and I am watching their pets. I have plunged so many toilets, but today I met my match.
I plunged for 10 minutes, which is a month in plunging time. All of the pets were watching so I had to put on a show. The plunger was the size of a pringles can- the plunging equivalent of a sheer band aid. I feared the worst.
Your persistence pulled me through. I didn't feel like anythjng was changing. The water was a very ugly color. Your children's jokes made me smile. That final flush was MUSIC! This was my Everest and you gave me oxygen when I needed it most. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

After checking out all the videos on unclogging, I was about to give up. But your video inspired me to continue. You were clear on the technique of getting a good seal, and when your kids became your audience, your admonition "don't call dad yet" compelled me to persist. It worked! Didn’t think I’d be one of these comments…BUT I clogged my toilet with a couple of wet wipes(making the switch to the bidet now) and I’ve been going at it for so long with my auger and it just wouldn’t work. I just flushed a bunch of paper towels down the toilet without even thinking. I tried the toilet plunger before watching this video and had no luck. I watched this video, used the techniques and after about 10 minutes of trying, it flushed! Thank you!!!!

I among many others would like to say thank you for the encouragement I needed. I was trying to unclog the toilet and my plunger didn’t seem to be doing anything. So I ordered another one. Turns out that plunger was even worse, so I ordered a 3rd one. After using the 3rd one I realized it was the same exact one I already had, so after trying again and failing I turned to TH-cam and stumbled upon this video. After watching you give it multiple tries I was determined to give it another go. I literally was plunging in groups of 40 and it still was doing nothing, so I was googling more methods and kept failing. Then I remembered how you persistently kept trying, and gave it a few more tries. On my last try i took out the plunger and nothing happened, so I left the bathroom defeated… only to then hear the sound I’ve been waiting to hear!!! Thanks for motivating me to fix it

I have plungered numerous toilets successfully in my 59 years of life but had given up on a clogged toilet which I knew was only toilet paper. About to call a plumber, I found your vdieo on TH-cam. The few tips of removing the air were helpful. But especially helpful was seeing your tenacity of not giving up. It took 10 or more attempts AFTER watching your video but I found success. We just had a really bad toilet clog and I realized through watching this video and others, I was first, not using the right type pf plunger and second, I was not plunging the toilet correctly. I went out and bought the right plunger (one with a flange) and did it exactly how you did in this video. Mine was a tough clog too. It took me about eight tries but it finally cleared and is flushing perfectly again. You are a lifesaver.
That took me literally nine times to get it, BUT OMG I GOT IT!!!!
I could not have unclogged it without this video. One, because I didn’t understand the mechanics of a plunger at all. I thought it was about suction, not pushing water. I also kept getting the angle wrong. And two, I would’ve gotten three or four tries in and thought “If it hasn’t happened yet, it’s not going to.” Being encouragingly told to just keep going was so so helpful.

My toilet clogged (with toilet paper) I tried baking soda and vinegar and Clorox with hot water but the hot water only made the water come up to the rim! 😩
There was no way I was going to try and plunge it that full up!!!

THANK YOU FOR BEING SO UPLIFTING AND POSITIVE. there were many many unclogging videos, but this one is the one that ultimately helped me the most. Once you (basically) said it WILL unclog if it’s just toilet paper & human waste // the only reason why it wouldn’t unclog is if there was a toothbrush or something down there I felt A LOT better. I’ve used a plunger many times, but for some reason my toilet just wasn’t unclogging this time & I was getting scared! But using your techniques, and just going for it without giving up I FINALLY got it. I was scared I damaged my toilet or something bc it Has been clogged for hours!! Thank you so much again.

I live in Manhattan in an apartment that’s over 100 years old. I thought I would never get my toilet unclogged because it was so stubborn. The drainage was sluggish with water rising each attempted flush. It stayed clogged. I tried every trick: hot water, liquid dish soap, even drano. NOTHING WORKED.
