2:39 reminds me of an episode, trying to protect the Rose wall, one of the soldiers launches a cannon shot at a Titan very close, the Titan's face shows its bones and the soldier gets scared.
It was like belated revenge, for the people of Marley to see and feel the horror that the people of Ymir felt.

Basically what happened is eren had the choice of saving dina and very low maybe his mother by commander Dina’s titan to kill bertholt, but if that happened he would mess up everything up to that point, so he made sure bertholt survived and his mom died. He had to to make sure the rumbling happened

I finished reading the manga like 6-7 years ago and I spot the inspiration of the author when Marley appear and after I watch the ending song. Gg bruh..
