The entire way they treat geo constructs in this game is whack as fuck. I should be able to place Albedo’s flower down in any boss room and environment and have it stay there unless it is DIRECTLY hit by something.
bosses have big hit boxes it is being directly hit
@@davidkipp9259 nah, that’s bullshit. A hit box isn’t an attack. I’m saying it should ONLY be damaged if a scripted attack with animations and everything ends up hitting it directly.
Albedo suffers from the "prototype design" syndrome where what the Devs think would make sense, actually doesnt in the long run.
Some geo constructs do need to have health else they would be abusable like geo travellers boulders. However they then apply this to almost every construct back then. Albedo's flower should not need hp at all.
This could be fixed by just "buffing" Albedo but because Genshin's design is to not buff/nerf post launch unless they think it is truly necessary, Albedo didn't get this.
resonance build Zhongli also suffers from this, hoyo really introduced Constructs as "geo's" main theme back then and just went for direct damage like Itto and Navia afterwards. and no, sadly Chiori doesn't do anything unique with the constructs
Yeah, Alberto flower should not be desoyable. That would make him so much better. Come on Hoyo, it's not a nerf and everyone would be happy
i don't get why they make albedo flower destructable since it is his main dmg source, it's like if furina's pets are killable by enemies.

I personally think it would've been cooler if she had a kit that would increase her ATK SPD dramatically when under a crystallize shield, and the element of the shield would provide different bonuses similar to Wanderer's skill. The fact that she has two swords would've made it really cool to see her attacking rapidly and hitting a bunch of big numbers.
That does sound good, I have no zero interest in Chiori as she is.
But if she went with hyperspeed dual blade build with a wanderer esque passive that gives different stat boosts or upgrades to skill I could pull her for sure.
Especially if she didn’t rely on stupid constructs, because I don’t have or want any.
She would also work extremely well with I forgot her name’s na atk speed buff.
Then add in Gordy to get the 3 geo passive buff plus an Anemo for gathering and shred.
It would be a great team and I say this someone who dislikes Geo, even Zhong.

also the Geo Resonance only requires 2 geos, not 3; always worked like that with any resonance except the 4 diff elements one.
I think that, for a MODDED CHIORI taht worked like that, a good team would be Chiori/Yunjin/Buffer/Flex, even furina works wonders
I think that sounds way too far fetched for something of Fontaine's era and Chiori's Inazuman background. I think a simple Burst to heal addition would be far more than enough and makes sense since Albedo does something additionally to doing damage in his skill. Healing for geo is of more relevance than an EM buff.
That immediately sounds cooler than what we got. I usually like that style of quick duel blade slashing in games and anime. It's just too cool and satisfying 😅

Chiori, our stylish geo Keqing, I got to say that she does look and plays very interesting, the downside is is that she is done dirty from Arlecchino's Drip Marketing, though I highly wish those to pull for Chiori.

I'd say her kit at a whole was done pretty dirty. She's really more of an upgrade to Albedo in certain situations, while being more of a side-grade in others. On the upside, her weapon isn't event-locked, and even becomes one of Albedo's BIS weapons if you already have him, but lack Cinnabar Spindle.

Just when i thought Hoyoverse finally help Geo reintegrate into the society by releasing Navia, who not go into mono Geo team and open more teamcomps. Then they go back to the old way with Chiori.

maybe because they tend to view it as an inert element heck i mean some people even viewed navia as not a geo character because she had no constructs or that because she doesn't use gorou even though Geo already had an identity crisis from the start. and tbh the whole inert element concept is mostly because of one character with stupid restrictions.
What infuriated me even more was that Chiori's A4 passive is not compatible with my beloved Noelle and Navia. C1 can't even fix that.

i think that albedo is a jack of trades unit. Can be on elemental team because of em buff plus petra which mihoyo was meant for him than geo team. Geo team because of his def scaling with gorou and c4 itto def buff. I got almost 60k per tick of his E skill when both buffs applied.
Lol I like putting him on a Nahida, Raiden team, and then hitting the enemies once and watching popcorn get made from all the elements cooking them alive.

from the very little i tested, albedo's comf factor is way higher. more energy, bigger range, low cooldown so repositioning is super easy, and he doesnt have stupid restrictions to his flower at c0. of couse that all gets nullified if the boss is anything like the dirge of coppelia and such that wont let his flower live.but something else i figured is that, at least at c0, there is no reason to choose, as they are best together with furina as a buffer and and healer carry (noelle probably being the best choice) driving them. this is good for people with weak noelles that cany play hyper, because strong noelles are better off doing that instead.
in a full team choosing between them, im fairly sure the fact albedo snapshots will bridge the damage gap, and shell only open a new one at high cons as hers are clearly superior
its similar energy and same range(in fact chiori is litter better range but its really little, You can count its the same)

For me, the main reason to use Albedo is his speed and particle generation. He eats barely a second from my rotation to do his stuff, and produces tons of particles for my C6 Noelle, so she is able to burst non-stop. Not sure if Chiori can keep up. Although, I have to admit, there are two issues with him: first being his fragile flower, and the second is the fact that it only works with unshielded enemies. You have to do damage, otherwise it won't work. This makes some types of shields an absolute show stopper. But, other than these two problems, I'm pretty happy with his performance.
Yes that's the point. I myself have two Noelle teams, Albedo Gorou Furina for mobs and Navia Xianyun Furina for boss. I wonder what Chiori can bring, and elemental shield breaker comes to my mind if her doll is attack actively. That might be a good reason to get her, but someone need to test on a abyss herald
@@justintang9607 it looks like Chiori really needs another geo in her party, and not just any geo, but someone who can create a construct. So basically, Noelle and Navia are not the ones for her, as well as Gorou and Yun-Yun. Which leaves us with geo-daddy, geo-gangsta, and Albedo 1.0.

her field time is very low if you dont use her burst her EE is very quickly swap and doesnt care about swap CD.

I think HoD is her BiS if played off field, because it's easy to maintain the weapon passive and also the Golden troup passive.

Yeah due to Albedo's EM boost, I usually play him in 'Sandfox' team; Zhongli-Albedo-Yae Miko-Tighnari. My favorite team so far 🤗

i enjoy her, and thankfully one of the most popular flex spot characters is a geo character who has a construct them being zhongli
9:15 - loved this section on Albedo and Chiori comparison. I really really don't want to settle thinking there is a powercreep :( no way no way.
I don't have Chiori built well by any means yet but I was playing around with her last night and so far my favorite team with her is Zhongli, Raiden Shogun, Furina. Zhongli provides the geo construct for her second doll and furina adds additional attacks with her skill, raiden adds additional reactions and is the main damage dealer. I've noticed her elemental skill will strike with furinas summoned creatures or the dolls. Its a pretty laid back team that doesn't require much thought and has a simple rotation. High defense, good damage output, and lots of passive damage.

She is cool, and I like her and she has dual swords which is awesome but sadly I don't have many geo characters, and with all the other characters coming, really sadly you can't have them all unless we are whales and then to top it off neuv and kazuha is in the next banner, but I do think she is awesome and I want to make a team of off damage characters like raider, xinq, yelan, I feel like that would be cool, Its also pretty fun since he just released this video watching the numbers go off, what about everyone else pull or pass.

She has an incredibly good design but sadly pass. For a character with such a good design to have the "press E and switch out" playstyle (on-field is locked behind c6!!) is just sad...

Honestly, her being in the same situation as Yoimiya, having the cinnibar, and her personality being similar to Edna Mode makes me want to pull for her since I currently have enough for two 5 stars. However, that may mean I might not get Arlecchino nor Wanderer (who I'm determined not to skip this go around) if I lose this and the next 50/50.
i wanted to pull for Chiori however, 1. shes a geo unit which is not bad in the first place but simply the fact geo has zero interaction with all the other elements sucks. 2. she dont provide anything cause her whole kit is focused around geo only wich is sad.

Glad to know C1 Chiro can work with Noelle-Navia-Furina team. I've been experimenting the last spot with different characters which are all quite fun but I think Chiori being a geo-subdps will be the definitive solution.

i said it and will say it again : Hoyo is just ass to bring up geo construct this late to the game. They literally forgot Geo construct is a thing and now suddenly they gave us an unit that require Geo construct which is just ridiculous. Especially since they decided to just not make Goro summon a Geo construct for fuck knows why. I'm rolling for Chiori because I really REALLY love Geo vibrator team as concept but the fact that her doll is not geo construct is both a letdown and a boon. Like now I can vibrate it with Daddy Zhong Li but at the same time now I can have as many of them in the field no worry.
Geo constructs aren't bad, just lacking in number. We only have several, like 5. That is a small sample size. What Hoyo fails at is tying the relevance of a character kit to the livelihood of the geo construct.
So here's the idea- Hoyo can just make geo constructs that are supposed to be dispensable. If a bull known as Ushi is considered a geo construct, then I think there is a lot of creative room for gadgets to be labeled as such. So here are some examples-
Bear trap- is destroyed when stepped on- makes enemies (except bosses) immovable and does damage.
Theater mechanicus' mechanici- towers that shoot at enemies. Basic damage type is physical. Absorbs nearby crystallized shards to shoot damage of that type at enemies.
Mini-golem- taunts enemies and bosses. Does AoE damage when destroyed and slows down any non-boss enemies.
So from these examples, I am just suggesting that geo constructs have a lot of potential. Hoyo can just treat geo construct as the real-time strategy/tower defense element. Geo constructs could be played as a tool-kit to deploy traps and jointly fighting machinations by your side.
Maybe a geo character that creates several geo Oz's would be nice. Having abiility to create multiple summons as geo constructs can compensate for their durability vulnerability that Oz does not have.

I really love the idea of Geo construct and I also love the idea of terrain manipulation and Zhong li pillar resonance system. Geo construct is a neat idea especially to play with the terrain e.g You can form a cage as another form of CC instead of the usual anemo succ. It's just that Hoyo is too braindead to make anything that good

I just put albedo right behind chiori. Tap skill 3 times then got 2 dolls 1 flower done setup on the field
and some additional info, chiori's teleport range is the same as alhaitham for those who want to know.
I love her so much, but I really hate the fact that she is locked behind geo constructs in which I dont have any characters for 😭

Genshin should rework their old characters ,a great example Albedo First his hair and after that his E construct, it's so frustrating that I can't use it against oceanid and it's useless in many fight .They just forget about their previous characters. I'M not telling to make them stronger but a little tweaks like this could make past characters interesting .I know they won't do that.
Copium is telling me that some day we will have a new upgrade limit to lvl 100 which enables a new passive and buff/fix some things on the old skills.

I'd like to see a video where you compare Chiori to off field Navia, the kind when you just use EEQ on Navia and don't use on field attacks. I have the impression Navia produces more energy and does comparable damage while being more versatile in general and being able to take advantage of buffs better, so while Chiori might powercreep Albedo, Navia powercreeps both. (You should probably assume less than full stacks on Navia's skill, and it might be interesting to consider using Sacrificial Greatsword for an additional E shot)
as a noelle main who uses mono geo team (noelle, zhongli, ningghuang and gorou) i wanted to get more geo characters to do different teams and i could not chose between her and albedo especially since albedo is also on that new special banner i was going to pull for her and this video showed me that i did the right choice! plus i really love her design she just looks absolutelly gorgeous

Another team I like to play her in is double Pyro, double Geo with Bennett/Thoma/Chiori/Ningguang. Triple Skill into Ultimate into charged attack is so satisfying and does surprisingly a huge amount of DMG within a few seconds.

Albedo generates crystalize shields, which can be strong and habe basically no cd. Makes him a a good pal for navia too
Cinnabar spindle only triggers once every 1.5 secs and has a 0.1 sec interval for hits, so if the dolls hit at the exact same time, they both benefit, but if they're not spaced out, one doll will usually not get the effect... Although it's still probably one of the better weapons for her regardless. 🥴
accidently got her while pulling for Gorou. i was planning to save for Neuvillette, then i got her after 20 pulls. The reason im pulling for Gorou is because i got a pretty well built Noelle and i already have him at C5. i only need 1 more cons for my Noelle to become broken

Same here! I wasn't planning on pulling for Chiori at all, and save up for C1 Neuvi, but I wanted that last Gorou. I did one 10 pull and got my Gorou and Chiori! My last 10 pull was for Xianyun on soft pity. I checked my history to be sure and there were 4 wishes between 5 stars. That has NEVER happened to me before. FTP BABY!

In terms of meta or power-scaling wise, Albedo and Klee (or Venti even) being early 5 Star character they really do feel more like "4.5 Star characters" than 5 Star characters.
100%. I'd go as far as to toss Diluc and to an extent Mona on that list as well. There's good stuff on Mona, but for example her C6 and "special" weapon Wine and Song really point to a playstyle that just doesn't work/contribute, and her C2(?) Adding a free Charge attack occasionally is nice, but a Mona focused on auto-attacking isn't exactly her main job.
As much as I try to make it so!
Ill be skipping every banner till i get hu tao and all the archons(only need Zhongli now), but its fun to watch videos about the new characters they release. Keep it up:3

Even if Chiori was power creeping Albedo it doesn't matter since the content there is won't require you to pull even for a Chiori if you already have an established team.
To be fair that applies for literally any character. At this point, and for the last year or two, it's just pulling for characters you like. And hoping those characters are good.

cinnabar passive is kinda random because if the dolls hit at the same time both will be buffed but when nd doll hits between 0.11 - 1.49s after the first the only the first will get buffed you can make a setup when both dolls will be get buffed either in 0.1s of each other or first doll hit 1,51-1,99s delay then nd doll hit and repeat
more in depth video would be nice to see I might just try to pull chiori too but I already locked my self into grinding primos for hunter's path because building pity went wrong

So she is supposed to be albedo with fix construct but with additional constraints...not gonna lie albedo is still easier to use but if you want a max geo comp chiori will be the new best in slot in my opinion
I got Chiori in a single pull (on the verge of pity but winning 50/50). I like her so much! Mono geo rises for me, or even add a healer and Chiori can use the hp fluctuate sword you mentiond in the video. She's a fun character and I assume there will be another doll character (harbringer...) in the future.... Even with that, I only miss Keqing, Albedo and Navia and I like most of the characters but a bit burned out for now of genshin to play very much of it.

Wish she was more crystallized focus like "creates another doll if a crystallize is on the field". Same exact kit but something a LITTLE more unique. Regardless though, I like her and got her and I just hope they make a Geo Construct Patch where everything can be like Ushi lmao
Ultimately genshin characters strength doesnt matter because there isnt any end game content to be used on anyways lol
I'd say the biggest difference between chiori and albedo is that chiori relies on geo constructs while albedo doesn't, so in the end Albedo may do well under chiori teams but not the other way around, at least at C0. I know it's not that big of a deal, but Albedo can go with Navia, or be a geo support for other elements teams, or idk maybe hu tao teams who would like that em Albedo gives. I wouldn't say she absolutely powercreeps but under the usual scenario of having a full geo team I understand she is just better
C0 she definitely elevates my Itto team, but I've been using Navia a lot with Albedo so the incentive to pull for C1 is there since Albedo's Skill doesn't play nice with a lot of bosses.
Albedo is technically more dependent than Chiori on someone creating a construct. Just that it is an easy condition to meet, since it is his construct.
One other big drawback to Albedo is that his flower damage is a coordinated attack. That means if you don't cause the enemy to lose hp, it won't trigger. So against something like a lector or an Abyss mage...
As far as Cinnabar Spindle goes, it has a bit of variance when it comes to Chiori. The weapon has a 1.5s cool down on its proc, which means if Chiori's 2 dolls don't attack 1.5s apart, Spindle will only apply its bonus to one of the two attacks. If it is only boosting one doll , then the weapon does about the same damage as a HoD, though without the HP worries, so still better. If you do manage to stagger the doll creation sufficiently or you are in a single doll situation, then Spindle does have a nice damage advantage over HoD.
were I still playing she'd probably be a nice addition for my c2Itto acc - maybe even the perfect investment piece, since spending the rest of primos on the weapon banner would be very likely to deliver profit with either weapon, even if I lost to Itto's twice. Almost tempts me to get back and try some shenanigans like noelle(my very dearest)+albedo+gorou. Almost
Albedo skill triggers every 1.6 sec while chiori dolls trigger it every 3 sec so even if she deals more damage albedo will still clear mob faster until your flower won't get destroyed by other enimes so i don't think chiori can replace him

1. albedo iterveal is 2 seconds
2. you didnt count she has 2doll
3. In fact her 2 doll dmg is similar to albedo flower
But difference is comeform her E slash and special hit form passive(My chiori witch ZL E slash is 58k and her bonus hit form passive is same as passive that mean its 58k x3)
And her ult that use both atk and def.

Right now, I am saving; since the Shenhe costume, I had hoped she would come back for a rerun... So I was disappointed, when she did not. Instead, I will just save. Chiori is awesome, but partaking in the "Rerun wants list" for now.
That said, this video was super detailed and interesting! Never thought I'd see benchmark-esque pie- and barcharts in a flipping Genshin video... but damnit, I am a number nerd and NGU is gud :D

One thing you forgot to mention, at C1 Chiori gets the 20% Geo dmg bonus buff even without geo constructs after she uses her skill, since I liked Chiori alot, I actually went for her C1 to also remove such restrictions, and I was able to turn her into an on-field DPS, Chiori, Gorou, YunJin, Bennett works funnily enough

To avoid albedo's flower breaking up, I cast it behind my character (looking away from the boss). But yea, It still can be detroyed during battle which sucks, the good thing is that albedo's skill CD is really low so sometimes I manage to recast it without a problem.
