You did see the aura in the second game - it's the aura of the generator, not the aura of the survivor. I expected to see the auras of the survivor too when I tried the addon. And you were completely correct in how you acted at the end - no boops, no mercy.

I know this isn’t a rare occurrence anymore but I had a surv DC when I was playing billy, with only shadowborn and BBQ and they led me on a solid first chase. It’s a fascinating place here in the fog

I looped this billy for quite a while only to notice that my teammates were: surv #1 was doing a gen, THEIR FIRST GEN even though billy hooked 1 and downed the other who was afk + me looping. He could’ve literally finished an entire while I was in chase… idk what they were doing. surv #2 was afk for a long while. surv #3 was healing the afk player to full health even though he was not hooked and was afk for a very long time. I didn’t wanna waste my time so I killed myself on hook. It’s a shame cuz I really love going against good hillbillies and the one I played against was so fun and good. I just knew that game was donzo from the get-go.
Those Pig games are a great illustration of your statement "I have more respect for people who DC than for those who kill themselves on hook". I recently went against a Pinhead on RPD. Three of my teammates DC'd pretty quickly - so it was just me and three bots. He could have tunneled me out and ended things there and then - but instead he chose to continue the game as normal, chasing and hooking everyone equally. I don't know if he intentionally left me for last or if that's just how things worked out, but I ended up running into the hatch as he was closing in on my injured ass. I have mad respect for that guy, you don't see that kind of sportsmanship in DBD often. I wish him well 🫡 Had my teammates killed themselves instead of DC'd - that would have been a very different experience. With them DC'ing, we still got a decent game. #JustDC

the thing is that survivors get greedy around a gen you've kicked because they can't trust their solo queue teammates to rotate for them, which is the same reason games randomly feel really easy. they will have this problem as long as they insist on not adding tools to facilitate team plays of any kind

In the end, when people kill themselves on hook or "give up", for whatever reason they have when they're first hook, it is annoying. I guess I should have rephrased it that way for you pal.
I think there should be a random perk option (that can be equipped multiple times) because there are/were copendium challenges (or for events) that let u have random survivor/killer perks
Honestly, they need to just make it so if a survivor kills themselves on hook at 4+ survivors (meaning 3 attempts following 2 non-interactions with the skill checks), it should count as a d/c and penalize the player. Either that or spawn a bot on a random part of the map and respawn the hook. IDK, it's like the d/c bot is both a blessing and a curse.
Trust me bro, more penalizations are not the answer. People will just afk and play on their phones or something. Create more loops and they'll find more loopholes. They made the ban timer to prevent early 3v1 from dcs. Now dcs give bots(which is something useful atleast, balancing the ai is a different matter), why are dcs still bannable?
It was a step in the right direction. The problem now is the ban timer. Solo queue teammates don't care about giving or not giving other mates a bot. They only care if they can move onto the next match or wait 15 min.(which is completely justified) Up to the devs I guess.

I wish it was just casual and i didn't have to tryhard and try to be a pro player in half of my games because of matchmaking deciding i win too much... Like every other game gens pretty much disappear while i can't catch anyone because everyone sweats their ass off while i try to just not play meta for once...
I don't really get why there are DC penalties for surv anymore after the bot introduction considering it's better for people when the person DC's rather than kill themselves on hook now, but that aside. I don't understand why Killers have DC penalties full stop. When you DC as killer the survivors get their offerings and items back AND they get the points they earned so far in the game. It just seems so dumb to punish killers for not wanting to play a game when the people that are effected only benefit from it happening. The alternative as a killer is to just go AFK anyway, which means people just end up having a far worse time than if they could just go next. (I AFK when I get GOJ on bubba because I really cannot be bothered with those hitboxes)
