8 Spider-Man Stunts Tom Holland Actually Did Himself

Tom Cruise may be known for doing some crazy stunts packed full of adrenaline, but he’s not the only Tom in Hollywood that likes to do his own stunts for real. Tom Holland, who the Spider-Man production team labelled as “95% Spider-Man” given the fact he can do most of his Spidey stunts for real, likes to do a vast majority of his own stunts and even in CG, the movements you see on screen are mostly the actor. This means that some of the biggest and boldest moments in the Spider-Man films are actually Holland doing the stunts for real, with the trained gymnast able to do flips and somersaults all by himself. This does come with setbacks though and Holland has taken some heavy toll on his body, and there have been times where the actor has been nervous about pulling off a scene, but working with a great stunt team, he has been able to pull off a vast majority of his stunts himself and this has been part of the reason Marvel like him so much as Spider-Man. They like him a little less for all the spoilers he drops, but still.
In this video we are going to take a look behind the scenes of some of Holland’s greatest stunts, how he managed to pull them off, and the risks he faced by doing the stunts for real. This will include the amazing Washington Monument sequence in Homecoming, the battle against the Elemental in Venice in Far From Home, his first solo fight as Spidey in the bank fight against the ‘Avengers’, a stunt he performed with Zendaya that involved a 100ft drop (only for it to be cut from the movie), the hilarious bus sequence involving mountain goats, and the moment he goes toe to toe with Michael Keaton’s Vulture. Warning - many fences were harmed in the making of this video!

Tom Holland proves to be the real Spider-Man, and I am so excited of the more epic stunts and even the epic hand to hand combat he will do in Spider-Man no way home.

Lol he isn't. His physicality while impressive, doesn't mean he is a good and accurate portrayal of the character.

Tom holland seems to act more like a teen and funny while the others are being too serious which makes it look like they're not teens. In my opinion, tom is the best one.

Tom Holland is prefect as Spiderman
Even though i imagine Tom would love to explore the world and more characters... i wholeheartedly believe no one can match or even come nearly as close to embodiment of Peter Parker like Tom.
Tom fits the character in every possible.
I agree and have been saying that since he was cast and its why I don't like or agree with them recasting Pete Parker Spiderman or ending his movies no one is more perfect for the role of this spiderman than him

MCU Spider-Man is so inaccurate to the character to the point that he isn't Spider-Man. His character is far more like Miles Morales, but most importantly, he is Iron Man JR.
The extreme connection to Iron Man, having his enemies be tied to Iron Man, being constantly told to be the next Iron Man, having his suits made by Tony Stark, having his side characters not only extremely inaccurate, but utterly usless, and of course, NO Uncle Ben.
These are the main reasons why Tom Holland is easily the least accurate by a long shot.
The actor may be physically able to play the character, and even made have the acting skills to portray Peter Parker, but the direction was horrible. Horrible inaccurate.

@@spider-man500 the “having to be the next iron man” is trying to also push the theme of ‘he’s a teen still’ which was very smart. Also the “no uncle Ben” isn’t true. Due to an Easter egg left in NWH on a suitcase you see his name. And aunt may is basically that but a woman so why are you complaining? The only suit he has, made by tony, is the technical suit. He’s 16/17 so why would he, whose keeping his identity secret, be able to make this. Also there’s a lot of differences with Miles Morales and Peter Parker. Well first thing is that they’re struggles, messages, display and overall character are different.
Tom is a great actor, love to see him thriving & doing his own stunts.

@@andygray6089 I grew up with the Tobey Maguire Spiderman. I thought he did a good job at playing Peter Parker. But not as a good job as playing Spider-Man. Andrew Garfield was good at playing Spider-Man but not Peter Parker. And Tom Holland is good at playing both. But that's just my opinion.

The first homecoming trailer shows what the Washington monument climbing SHOULD have looked like, but they couldn't help making everything feel weightless. Theres so many examples of Tom actually being in the suit for a scene, but the final product is just glossed over to get rid of any imperfection which defeats the whole purpose

Wait I thought the water one (from the bridge scene) was a stunt devil? Like I've seen ppl that make times and Tom even had a vid of him recording himself as that scene was happening with his stunt devil. I'm so confused
The stunt double did it first so Tom could see if he can do it himself. Everytime the stunt is too dangerous or Tom is not sure if he can do it, his stunt double will do it first. Like the helicopter scene in Homecoming, Tom though he could do it, the staff told him it was too dangerous so they had the stunt double do it first, they dumped him in the lake from the helicopter, Tom realized he can’t do it so he didn’t.
It’s for safety reasons they let the stunt double do it first, we can’t risk the actors being hurt, that would messed up the schedule of the shooting.
