@thesliceoflifepodcast : It's SANTANA DHARMA not Hinduism. It's Sect/Branches are SIKHI(Sikhism), JAINISM and BUDDHISM. The word "HINDU or HINDUISM or INDIA" was given to us by Bhart-Varsh's invaders( Mughals from Uzbekistan and British/French/Dutch Colonial Invaders/Exploiters/Looters. The words "Hindu/Hindustan/Hindustani/Hinduism" were termed due to the River Sindhu. The Central-Asian Invaders couldn't pronounce "Sindhu/Sindh" and used to address as "Hind"(Land/Kingdom/Nation around and beyond River Sindhu) and it's natives as "Hindu" and "Hinduism" was coined by Britishers. The British had a fascination for Roman/Greek Culture and these people used refer BHARAT- VARSH as INDICA, hence INDIA. BHARAT-VARSH/India/Hindustan was exploited and plundered for nearly 1000 years(800 years by Islamic Invaders and 200 years by British Invaders). Our country's GDP was more than 37% which brought down to 1-2% after 1000 years with millions killed.
The Hindu metrics of time (Kaala Vyavahara) can be summarized as below: • a Lipta (लिप्ता) is approximately 0.4 seconds • a Vighati (विघटि) is 60 Liptas, or approximately 24 seconds • a Ghadika (घटि) is 60 Vighatis, or approximately 24 minutes • a Muhurta is equal to 2 Ghadikas, or approximately 48 minutes • a Nakshatra ahoratram (नक्षत्र अहोरत्रम्) or sidereal day is exactly equal to 30 Muhurtas (Note: A day is considered to begin and end at sunrise, not midnight.) An alternate system described in the Vishnu Purana Time measurement section of the Vishnu Purana Book I Chapter III is as follows: 100 Truti = 1 Tatpara 30 Tatpara = 1 Nimesha 15 Nimeshas = 1 Kásht́há 30 Kásht́hás = 1 Kalá 30 Kalás = 1 Kṣaṇa 12 Kṣaṇa = 1 Muhúrtta 30 Muhúrttas = 1 day (24 hours) 30 days = 1 month 6 months = 1 Ayana 2 Ayanas = 1 year or one day (day + night) of the gods Small units of time used in the Vedas • a Trasarenu is the combination of 6 celestial atoms. • a Truti is the time needed to integrate 3 Trasarenus, or 1/1687.5th of a second. • a Vedha is 100 Trutis. • a Lava is 3 Vedhas. • a Nimesha is 3 Lavas, or a blink. • a Kshanas is 3 Nimeshas. • a Kashthas is 5 Kshanas, or about 8 seconds. • a Laghu is 15 Kashthas, or about 2 minutes. 15 Laghus make one Nadika, which is also called a danda. This equals the time before water overflows in a six-pala-weight [fourteen ounce] pot of copper, in which a hole is bored with a gold probe weighing four masha and measuring four fingers long. The pot is then placed on water for calculation. 2 Dandas make one Muhurta. 6 or 7 Dandas make one Yamah, or 1/4th of a day or night. 4 Praharas or 4 Yamas are in each day or each night. LUNAR METRICS a tithi (also spelled thithi ) or lunar day is defined as the time it takes for the longitudinal angle between the moon and the sun to increase by 12°. This day is divided into 10, 000 parts called charanas. The charanas are divided as follows: The Four Yugas 4 charanas (1,728,000 solar years) Satya Yuga 3 charanas(1,296,000 solar years) Treta Yuga 2 charanas(864,000 solar years) Dwapara Yuga 1 charanas(432,000 solar years) Kali Yuga The cycle repeats itself so altogether there are 1000 cycles of yugas in one day of Brahma. One cycle of the above four yugas is one mahayuga (4.32 billion solar years) A manvantara consists of 71 mahayugas (306,720,000 solar years). Each Manvantara is ruled by a Manu (The first man of every cycle) After each manvantara follows one Sandhi Kala of the same duration as a Krita Yuga (1,728,000 = 4 Charana). (It is said that during a Sandhi Kala, the entire earth is submerged in water.) A kalpa consists of a period of 1,728,000 solar years called Adi Sandhi, followed by 14 manvantaras and Sandhi Kalas. A day of Brahma equals (14 times 71 mahayugas) + (15 x 4 Charanas) = 994 mahayugas + (60 Charanas) = 994 mahayugas + (6 x 10) Charanas = 994 mahayugas + 6 mahayugas = 1000 mahayugas as is confirmed by the Gita statement "sahasra-yuga paryantam ahar-yad brahmano viduH", meaning, a day of brahma is of 1000 (maha-)yugas. Thus a day of Brahma, kalpa, is of duration: 4.32 billion solar years. Two kalpas constitute a day and night of Brahma 30 days of Brahma = 1 month of Brahma (259,200,000,000 human years) 12 months of Brahma = 1 year of Brahma (3,110,400,000,000 human years) 25 years of Brahma = 1 kalpa (77,760,000,000,000 human years) 2 kalpas = 1 parardha (155,520,000,000,000 human years) 2 parardhas = 100 years of Brahma, the lifespan of Brahma (311,040,000,000,000 human years) The Vishnu Purana Time measurement section of the Vishnu Purana Book I Chapter III explains the above as follows: 360 days of the gods = 1 year of the gods 12,000 years of the gods = 4 Yugas 1,000 sets of 4 Yugas = a day of Brahmá 50 years of Brahma = 1 Pararddham 100 years of Brahma = 1 Param 4,000 + 400 + 400 = 4,800 years = 1 Krita Yuga 3,000 + 300 + 300 = 3,600 years = 1 Tretá Yuga 2,000 + 200 + 200 = 2,400 years = 1 Dwápara Yuga 1,000 + 100 + 100 = 1,200 years = 1 Kali Yuga Alternately, the reigns of 7 Rishis, Indra and Manu = 1 Manwantara = 71x12,000+A (A is not given) = 852,000 years of the gods+A (A is not given) 14 Manwantaras = a day of Brahmá VEDIC TIME UNITS GREATER THAN A KALPA Ancient vedic cosmology takes into account handful of time spans which are even greater than one Kalpa or a day of Brahma. One such unit is a "Maha-Kalpa" which is composed of 36000 such days of Brahma. One Maha-Kalpa is considered as the lifetime of Brahma. There are time units which are larger than one Maha-Kalpa. The largest of them has been calculated as several quadrillions of human years. This precise and massive calculations indicate one important aspect of vedic time system, that, whenever the term "Infinity" has been mentioned in Vedas, it does not indicate something very large. Instead, it appears that the term is meant to refer its literal synonym itself.

I am a Hindu. And like all religions, Hinduism also has a lot of stories (like the video and what other people are suggesting). But to really understand Hinduism, you should understand it’s philosophy. Vedanta (especially Advaita-Vedanta) is considered the highest philosophy of Hinduism. It is the knowledge of the self, and thus everything. It is this philosophy that all great scientists of the world have talked about.

The skulls garland around the neck of Lord Shiva are the skulls of Lord Brahma from each one of the yugas he was alive. Shiva couldn't see the creator Lord Brahma in such a state at the end of each yuga when he dies and hence makes a garland of his remains, giving him the dignity and the place Lord Brahma deserves, this also shows that the preserver Lord Vishnu and destroyer Lord Shiva are eternal.

In Hinduism destruction is not seen as something evil….Shiva is one of the most innocent and kind gods…who is known to give boon to anyone irrespective of whether they are dev, humans or rakshas. All the three gods are interdependent on each other as life cannot be created till something is destroyed.
Might have heard of Shiva has a wife Parvati(reborn of Shakti). So, Shakti is representation of Power and Shiva represents destroyer. Means a Destroyer needs Power to destroy. Similarly Brahma(creator) has Saraswati(Knowledge) and Vishnu(preserver) has Lakshmi(Wealth). Hinduism is well scientifically thought oldest religion. And you will find traces and similarity of its content in many Pagon and conventional religion. Just to amaze you - In the Ramayana, Sugriva tells Vinata to look for a 3-headed golden flag with a Yajna chiti (altar) at its base on the west coast of South America. The Paracas Candelabra in Peru has a square base that resembles a Yajna chiti. Bering land bridge that connected Asia and North America ended around 7,000 years ago when water levels rose again after Ice age. Since then till Columbus found America almost no one knew of America. Then how Ramayana writer know that either Ramayan is older or people were sailing to South America from India. Adams Bridge(Ram Setu) connecting India and Srilanka is a part of Ramayana which Lord Rama build a bridge to Lanka to rescue his wife Sita from the demon king Ravana. And Scientists have checked the sand on Adam's Bridge, also known as Rama Setu, is estimated to be around 4,000 years old. The rocks on the bridge are estimated to be around 7,000 years old. And by timeline the sand accumulated around stones depicting structure is Man made 7000 years ago.
After 100 year of Vishnu, Lord maha Vishnu is completing his one day and then one day all will destroy, After that only paramdham, shree raj ji krishna ji will be left and his 5 Brahma faces.

Lord Vishnu is the preserver and not considered as the Creator . Yes , it is confusing as all the universes originated from His body when he breathes out but Brahma lived within each universe and create All the creations like the sun the moon ,the stars etc and the lifeforms . Brahma is called the Creator . Even though Brahma creates this material world , Lord Vishnu preserves it and keeps everything exist so He is sometimes call the Universal soul who lives in everything
Destruction is necessary for creation just like after u eat u need to throw the garbage or the bad smell & disease will spread or imagine when an animal dies it's fleash has been eaten by other animals and microbes then the rest just get absorbed in soil which make it fertile which help plants grow a new life is born bce of someone death. This is Nature and they are energy's who control the Nature Bhraman: Creation Energy Vishnu: Preservation (the time u spend after birth and before death where u evolve from small child to man to old man) Shiva: Represent Death ( the moment when u die represent shiva energy shiva. Shiva doesn't reside in lord vishnu universe bcse creation & preservation is temporary but death is permanent everyone has to die at some point doesn't matter if it's Normal human or business man like Elon musk or any prime minister or leader infront of death you are just Powerless so he is said to be adi shiv or sad shiv which means the one who was in begging and one who will be at the end of everything just like our life at end is shiv of every creation and even begging just like I told you about how an death of animals give life to other animals plants the soil, etc. Shiva original form is formless he doesn't has body the one we see in picture is actually a A part of him from which 11 rudras were born and he is the 7th one like him the other rudras are also part of that one part of original shiv the reason the 7th rudra Shankar is called the shiv is bcse he was the first one to gain enlightenment about universe it's not normal enlightenment usually we have 7 chakra inside our body if u open then u get enlightenment just like Gautam Buddha but he open 114 chakras he reach the state of conciseness that he becomes death himself the eternal truth You can experience shiva if u got enlightenment he is said to be master of all arts and from him all the arts we see like martial arts, music, dance, maths, science, etc started he thought that to 7 sages who were created by Brahma the 7 songs of bhraman and told them to spread knowledge about it all around the world from the 7 sages only we were born our family and all I am for example I belong to Sage Kashyap family tree from whome naga and Garuda vansh started we r Nagvanshi in that

30 Tatpara = 1 Nimesha
15 Nimeshas = 1 Kásht́há
30 Kásht́hás = 1 Kalá
30 Kalás = 1 Kṣaṇa
12 Kṣaṇa = 1 Muhúrtta
30 Muhúrttas = 1 day (24 hours)
30 days = 1 month
6 months = 1 Ayana
2 Ayanas = 1 year or one day (day + night) of the gods
Small units of time used in the Vedas
• a Trasarenu is the combination of 6 celestial atoms.
• a Truti is the time needed to integrate 3 Trasarenus, or 1/1687.5th of a second.
• a Vedha is 100 Trutis.
• a Lava is 3 Vedhas.
• a Nimesha is 3 Lavas, or a blink.
• a Kshanas is 3 Nimeshas.
• a Kashthas is 5 Kshanas, or about 8 seconds.

a paksa (also paksha) or lunar fortnight consists of 15 tithis
a masa or lunar month (approximately 29.5 days) is divided into 2 pakshas: the one between new moon and full moon is called gaura (bright) or shukla paksha; the one between full moon and new moon krishna paksha
a ritu is 2 masa
an ayanam is 3 rituhs
a year is 2 Aayanas
TROPICAL METRICS
a Yaama (याम) = 1/4th of a day(light) or night [ = 7½ Ghatis (घटि) = 3¾ Muhurtas (मुहूर्त) = 3 Horas (होरा) ]
4 Yaamas 1 half of the day (either day or night)
8 Yaamas 1 day (day + night)
an Ahoratram is a tropical day (Note: A day is considered to begin and end at sunrise, not midnight.)
Reckoning of time among other entities
Reckoning of time amongst the pitrs (ancestors)
1 human day = 1/30 day of the pitrs (ancestors)
30 days of human is 1 month of human = 1 day of the pitrs
12 months of human = 1 year of the pitrs
The lifespan of the pitrs is 100 years of the pitrs (= 3,600 human years)
Reckoning of time amongst the Devas (Demi Gods/Elemental Gods)
1 human year = 1 day of the Devas (Demi Gods/Elemental Gods)
30 days of the Devas = 1 month of the Devas.
12 months of the Devas = 1 year of the Devas
The lifespan of the Devas is 100 years of the Devas (= 36,000 human years)
The Vishnu Purana Time measurement section of the Vishnu Purana Book I Chapter III explains the above as follows:
2 Ayanas (six month periods, see above) = 1 year or one day (day + night) of the devas
360 days of the devas = 1 year of the devas
12,000 years of the devas = 4 Yugas
Reckoning of time for Brahma (Creator of the Material World)
12,000 years of the Devas = 1 day of Brahma (4320,000,000 human years). This day is divided into 10, 000 parts called charanas.
The charanas are divided as follows:
The Four Yugas
4 charanas (1,728,000 solar years) Satya Yuga
3 charanas(1,296,000 solar years) Treta Yuga
2 charanas(864,000 solar years) Dwapara Yuga
1 charanas(432,000 solar years) Kali Yuga
The cycle repeats itself so altogether there are 1000 cycles of yugas in one day of Brahma.
One cycle of the above four yugas is one mahayuga (4.32 billion solar years)
A manvantara consists of 71 mahayugas (306,720,000 solar years). Each Manvantara is ruled by a Manu (The first man of every cycle)
After each manvantara follows one Sandhi Kala of the same duration as a Krita Yuga (1,728,000 = 4 Charana). (It is said that during a Sandhi Kala, the entire earth is submerged in water.)
A kalpa consists of a period of 1,728,000 solar years called Adi Sandhi, followed by 14 manvantaras and Sandhi Kalas.
A day of Brahma equals
(14 times 71 mahayugas) + (15 x 4 Charanas)
= 994 mahayugas + (60 Charanas)
= 994 mahayugas + (6 x 10) Charanas
= 994 mahayugas + 6 mahayugas
= 1000 mahayugas
as is confirmed by the Gita statement
"sahasra-yuga paryantam ahar-yad brahmano viduH",
meaning, a day of brahma is of 1000 (maha-)yugas. Thus a day of Brahma, kalpa, is of duration: 4.32 billion solar years. Two kalpas constitute a day and night of Brahma
30 days of Brahma = 1 month of Brahma (259,200,000,000 human years)
12 months of Brahma = 1 year of Brahma (3,110,400,000,000 human years)
25 years of Brahma = 1 kalpa (77,760,000,000,000 human years)
2 kalpas = 1 parardha (155,520,000,000,000 human years)
2 parardhas = 100 years of Brahma, the lifespan of Brahma (311,040,000,000,000 human years)
The Vishnu Purana Time measurement section of the Vishnu Purana Book I Chapter III explains the above as follows:
360 days of the gods = 1 year of the gods
12,000 years of the gods = 4 Yugas
1,000 sets of 4 Yugas = a day of Brahmá
50 years of Brahma = 1 Pararddham
100 years of Brahma = 1 Param
4,000 + 400 + 400 = 4,800 years = 1 Krita Yuga
3,000 + 300 + 300 = 3,600 years = 1 Tretá Yuga
2,000 + 200 + 200 = 2,400 years = 1 Dwápara Yuga
1,000 + 100 + 100 = 1,200 years = 1 Kali Yuga
Alternately, the reigns of 7 Rishis, Indra and Manu = 1 Manwantara = 71x12,000+A (A is not given) = 852,000 years of the gods+A (A is not given)
14 Manwantaras = a day of Brahmá
VEDIC TIME UNITS GREATER THAN A KALPA
Ancient vedic cosmology takes into account handful of time spans which are even greater than one Kalpa or a day of Brahma. You watch in Movies..most of foreign directors already show multiverse in their movies but they don't tell that they took this from Hindu scriptures.
Yes..Avatar movie name also taken from Sanskrit
I am a Hindu. And like all religions, Hinduism also has a lot of stories (like the video and what other people are suggesting). But to really understand Hinduism, you should understand it’s philosophy. Vedanta (especially Advaita-Vedanta) is considered the highest philosophy of Hinduism. It is the knowledge of the self, and thus everything. It is this philosophy that all great scientists of the world have talked about.
Our dharma based on science 🙏
'16 indian philosophies explained like a game' would be another video to explain the extent of sanatan dharma (hinduism)

shiva is destroyer, bhramha is creater, vishnu is maintainer! you got this man!
Then who is god?
@@MuhammedBilal-vj1ftall of them .. and all are one ….for example if u r hungry u eat food ..and if u r thirsty u drink water ..god take different forms for different tasks
@@___CuPcaKe__ what...? 🙄😬all are god..? Make no sense

@___CuPcaKe__ i don't think god is everything. God create everything. Is that make sense to u??...
You are wrong
Vishnu is the Preserver or Maintener... Bhrama is the creator and Shiva is the destoryer..
In Hinduism death and destruction is not a bad thing. The universe is all about creation and destruction
There's no concept of "Satan" or "Devil" in Hinduism.
What do we call the Asuras, like Mahishasura and all. Do you know any videos that talk about these?
@@fairlycultured9329Asuras are not devils , they also pray the same god but asuras don't want mukthi they want birth cycle to continue, they are higher materialistics
Asuras are those who chose the path of sinning, Sanatan Dharma gives opportunity to choose the path of life u want to live. Nobody here is a born sinner, but a sinner made of choice, u can change if u seek forgiveness of your actions and this time choose to not perform any sin. Asuras pray but don't follow what god actually teaches. They are consumed by selfishness. @@fairlycultured9329

Yes
In Hinduism destruction is not seen as something evil….Shiva is one of the most innocent and kind gods…who is known to give boon to anyone irrespective of whether they are dev, humans or rakshas. All the three gods are interdependent on each other as life cannot be created till something is destroyed.
With reference to Bhagwan Vishnu Ji - It's preserver not maintainer.
Hinduism 🕉️ 🔱
yes she is correct and after 100 years of Brahma, Lord Vishnu is blinking his eye 👁️ only once.
After 100 year of Vishnu, Lord maha Vishnu is completing his one day and then one day all will destroy, After that only paramdham, shree raj ji krishna ji will be left and his 5 Brahma faces.
It's very deep, if you want to understand then you have to think very high and you have to clean your mind by meditation.
Please React to Lord Shiva videos..... Although Maha Vishnu is may be most powerful than the Brahma, Bishnu, Shiva.....but Shiva is most loveable by people

While there are many gods with myriad forms, those most popularly worshiped by Hindus in India are Vishnu, Shiva, the Goddess in her various aspects, and Shiva's sons Ganesha and Karttikeya.

Destruction is not seen as negative as destruction leads to new creation since the creation is cyclic in nature
Do know that Hinduism texts have a lot of personification and metaphors used to explain concepts. So while there are interesting stories, many of them are meant to be taken into consideration conceptually and not literally.

Well... Our ancestors used to make us understand things with an imaginary stories as you can see in the video the text says "a lotus blooming up from the naval of lord vishnu ". The lotus is the symbol of what is divine or immortal in humanity, and also symbolizes divine perfection....
So when someone says some story don't take it as what is being heard at first... Try to understand the meaning of it...🕉️
Lord Vishnu is the preserver and not considered as the Creator .

Lol my bois trying to learn about the world's ancient religion through videos a few minutes long 😂. Obviously you'll get confused
Watch How british impoverished the world's richest country.
Brahma is the creator, Bishnu is the mainteiner.
This is Nature and they are energy's who control the Nature
Bhraman: Creation Energy
Vishnu: Preservation (the time u spend after birth and before death where u evolve from small child to man to old man)
Shiva: Represent Death ( the moment when u die represent shiva energy shiva. Shiva original form is formless he doesn't has body the one we see in picture is actually a A part of him from which 11 rudras were born and he is the 7th one like him the other rudras are also part of that one part of original shiv the reason the 7th rudra Shankar is called the shiv is bcse he was the first one to gain enlightenment about universe it's not normal enlightenment usually we have 7 chakra inside our body if u open then u get enlightenment just like Gautam Buddha but he open 114 chakras he reach the state of conciseness that he becomes death himself the eternal truth
You can experience shiva if u got enlightenment he is said to be master of all arts and from him all the arts we see like martial arts, music, dance, maths, science, etc started he thought that to 7 sages who were created by Brahma the 7 songs of bhraman and told them to spread knowledge about it all around the world from the 7 sages only we were born our family and all I am for example I belong to Sage Kashyap family tree from whome naga and Garuda vansh started we r Nagvanshi in that
Brahm Vishnu are not actual living beings just named the entities to make understand better
If they shut up for even a sceond.. they would understand properly..😄
