Great Video ! I have been to Seattle, Los Angeles, Chicago in the last 1 1/2 years and live in St. Louis, Missouri and none of these cities in the evening are safe. I had no problems during the day, but be prepared for a unwanted confrontation daily if your walking around these downtown areas day or night.... In the coming years if we meet up for a beer I will show you pics :)

As an overall I am sure it is safer in many ways than lots of other parts of the world.. I did hear that up north there was some battles on the river near Myanmar and someone threw an expl0sive device into a crowd and killed several and injured lots at some celebration and nearly a 1/2 ton of meth was seized somewhere (info from pattaya news)... but we never hear about this type of stuff. With that said I hope people dont become complacent and think that nothing will ever happen,,,no matter what, one should always have their head on a swivel and be mindful of their surroundings. Thank you for an informative video.

Thank goodness i have pretty good insurance. I spent 6 nights in the hospital had an ablation, which is a heart procedure. Lots of tests and blood work and my bill was over 120,000. Just crazy.

You can get ripped off any where, you just have to be aware, honestly home invasions are common here Australia , people have disappeared here in Tasmania.

How safe is Thailand? Ever read the daily crime news? Feeling safe when you can't understand whats going on around you is meaningless...

Safer? In terms of violent crimes yes. In terms of petty crimes like pickpocketing yes.
In terms of road safety a very emphatic no. You see people ride motorbikes all the time with no helmets. They are all idiots. Even with helmets it's very unsafe.

    How about corruption in Thailand?

Define corruption in daily living context first, then breakdown each category
