  • Hi. It’s been 6 months since I seriously wiped out due to poor balance, technique, etc. on this hill. Quite gratifying for both Hector and myself to see some skill improvements.
Hector has really improved in skill of carving as well as less fear of speed.
It was first use of blood orange wheels and i really like them. Reasonable grip with reasonable slide without losing control.

Oh men don't trow yourself at higher speeds with such a heavy backfoot! Your crashes are very impressive! 😬
Excuse my bad english but here's some tips for free 😘
You should practice turns leaning to the front of your board until your back truck wants to slide then push sideways with both legs to slide. Get use to that sweet spot (when back wheels are about to slide) then stay just beahind it when going fast.
Your puck drops in front of your front truck but the least weight on it the better the slide.
You also want to get higher centermass when sliding to manage more room for manoeuvrability out of your slides. Lift your ass as much as possible while sliding whatever teh side.
Last but not least turn your shoulders opposite to the direction of your skateboard turn. Carving toeside this may result you to bring your back knee pointing to the front of the board along with your front leg.
On heelside turns don't grab stinkbug it prevent your centermass to move to the front of your skate. Wrap your knee with your arm and grab next to your ankle.
And after all you may setup truck in a way that front truck turns harder than back truck for more stability.
Skate safe and live for long! 🤙

you need to ajustate more the trucks, and use the especial position in fast moments

Thanks for commenting. I think they were my stock 70 mm, but have gotten up grades. They still slide well though-I think? Still trying to figure out wheel response, etc.
