With the Grand Canyon I would honestly wait until the kids are a bit older. It’s absolutely amazing and pictures don’t do it justice! The edges are just scary scary
The trick to seeing baby teeth is to hold an actual glass up to a baby’s mouth to have them suck on it. You should be able to see the gums/teeth through the glass :)

We in my household have nevere cleaned anything on new years day. Always been told it's bad luck and not to be done. It's said that it's a day for resting and very family oriented. This year we watched films, went to see family and then relaxed 😊
I have been watching your channel for years now. I always enjoy your videos and you both share some very helpful info on parks and life in general. My favourite part is when you both start “out of control” laughing with each other.
I was literally cleaning out a cabinet and reorganizing when I watched yesterday’s video and was like Ding Dang! I feel like it was a good start for the year to have things clean and organized lol. I taught myself to knit and crochet in 2023 and it has been one of the most relaxing things I’ve done, and now I have loads of jumpers/ blankets to show for it too 😊 Good luck with your goals for 2024, as long as it’s a happy and healthy year it’s a successful one ❤
I'm totally up for teaching you to knit! I worked in a knitting store as a new adult. 😊 Also, there are tons of youtube videos on it.

You can do the paint experiment in a clear plastic Christmas ornament and it makes a neat kid art keepsake ornament. Does take a while to dry. Our kids did some years ago and we still have them for the tree.

I’d love to see more of your surrounding area and the beaches. Maybe even if you decide to do staycations do more budget friendly ones, and only stay for two nights (short stays).

My mum in law believes that you start the New Year in a clean house as this means you will continue have clean house in the year ahead. This is common in Scotland and we now follow this tradition as well x

The idea to not clean on new year's day is related to a Chinese superstition for Lunar New Year more so than regular new year. The new year brings in new luck so if you clean, it washes the new luck away. It mostly relates to sweeping and showering but regular day to day cleaning is fine.
I used to be a Makita gal, but now Milwaukee for me and my husband. When I was in my 20s I used to find old Craftsman tools at yard sales then turn them in for new ones back when that was a thing. :)
Yes here in NY I just took down my tree and sacked away all my Christmas decorations, Left my outside decorations up until Little Christmas…..Just pulling out my Valentine towels and little decorations which I will put up in 2 weeks time',,,,just flying thru the holidays AND years. 🎄🌲❤️
I do not run laundry or dishes on New Year’s Day.
The trick is leaving the dishes in the sink until before bed.
My dishwasher has a delay feature on it, so at 10pm I delay it for 4 hours so it won’t wash the dishes until January 2nd.
What I have always heard is if you wash laundry or dishes you are washing for the dead, meaning you could lose a loved one in the new year.
Leyton has his first tooth popped up and the other one next to it is popping up! So glad I can watch our boys grow together!!! And be so close in age

You guys did great with your goals from last year in my opinion. I wonder if putting the list of your goals somewhere you can see them frequently will remind you of things you would like to do and as you do them, cross them off? I love that Jackson got to make a rainbow🌈❤️. Jenn you mentioned wanting to read more books and it reminded me of when I was growing up and of reading age, my mom had a rule where we would pick a time (for us it was 7pm) and everyone would read for a half an hour. Of course you can make that something just for you haha. One of my goals for the year is to make more friends. Always tough to make friends in a new place. I'd also like to find a job I love doing. Being healthy is always a goal of course. I look forward to seeing what you guys accomplish this year. It will be exciting as always❤. Huge hugs and love to you guys xoxo

Jen i would say for your wanting to learn a new skill for last years resolution, in a way I think you did, don’t take this the wrong way but I think your cooking skills seemed to have improved massively! I know you use the boxes that get delivered but you seem much calmer and confident while cooking them now than compared to before. So I’d say goal achieved! lol happy new yr guys xx

You guys should check out Mount Dora (if you haven't already!) Small town meets Florida - I went with a friend recently and it's very cute - I believe they have farmers markets on the weekends too.
Hi Jen, the cleaning up thing on Jan 1st- my Nanna always told us we were not allowed to throw any rubbish out of the house on 1st Jan- so we could clean up round the house but not throw the rubbish out of the house till the 2nd Jan 😀 So on 31st Dec we have always had a mad tidy up to get all the rubbish out of the house before midnight 😂

I have done a Grand Canyon trip twice. Starting in Las Vegas to Grand Canyon with stops along Route 66. Flagstaff,then ending the trip in Sedona.
You guys should print out the goals and put them in one of the frames in the office or somewhere you see a lot as a reminder!
I sorta didn't clean yesterday. I didn't make the bed or sweep or vacuum but I did put some dishes in the dishwasher. I like Tim's goals are suggestions. I don't really set goals but I have dreams. I go with the "Happy Talk" song from South Pacific thought. "You got to have a dream, If you don't have a dream, How you gonna have a dream come true". I think of it as not really something that MUST be done but something you would like.
I listened to the pilot episode of "That Tracks" today at work and I had to stop myself from laughing out loud so people wouldn't think I was crazy (had my earpods in). It was great and I'm going to try to use 'that tracks' in my daily vocabulary as much as possible now.

Hi there and Happy New Year🎉Trackers👏 Enjoy! Jen, that cleaning thing you decided not to do on New Year's Day is rooted in an old chinese tradition (superstition to us). It actually involves sweeping. If you sweep out of the house (coz in ancient times, a house was swept clean by sweeping messes from in the house to outside-mostly because it was dust, they didn't have trash cans back then). So, you don't want to sweep out the good luck or anything good out of your house when you want good luck to come in. So, you can clean😉 just don't sweep out!👍
This is the first time I’ve heard about the not cleaning on New Year’s Day thing. We always put all of our Christmas stuff & organize everything on New Year’s Day which counts as cleaning in my book!

My mum (born in Devon, UK) always said it’s laundry you shouldn’t do on New Year’s Day, not cleaning in general.
Make a goal board with cloud bubbles that state the goal. Color in the goal bubble when you achieve the goal!

One of my goals was to see more and explore areas not done since Covid started in the bigger city a hour away and my local city. Saw many places totally forgot about and just took it all in plus found new places along the way
Place you should visit in Orlando this year: Otto's High Dive. 10/10 restaurant experience. It's in the Milk District too so you can hit up Primrose Lanes if you wanted too! :)
I love the Grand Canyon. Beautiful place to go. We rode a train there. And stay couple days. Loved it.

We’ve done some of our big goals, buy a house and spruce it up and build a treehouse for our kids. More trips to Disney and Universal (we moved to Georgia and only live 6hrs away). Our big goal this year is to finish the basement, the previous owner started it (framed it out) but we’d like to complete it this year. Also more travels to not just Disney and Universal but at least one cruise and a beach trip.
Tim, runDisney races usually have donation bins at the start and along the race route so you can wear old clothes or buy a cheap long sleeve and throw it in a bin when you get hot! Good luck on your race!

Tim and Jenn if you ever need help knowing if a month has 31 days just do the knuckle trick on your hand. Start with January for knuckle the next month between the finger for February and so on.

My family and I have always cleaned BEFORE new years. So New Year’s Eve we deep clean the house because we should be going into the new year with a clean home. If not, your home will be “dirty” the rest of the year. lol!!! 😂😂😂
When you teach Jackson to ride a bike take his petals off and let him ride it for a few hours to get his balance then when he has it put the petals back on. My Daughter learned in 1 day this way.
We cleaned up on NYD, but never do a clothes wash, we just don’t use the washing machine on New Years, Happy New Year to you all❤

In the uk we don't do laundry new years day, they say you will wash someone from ur life... my mum did the tradition when I was little and now I won't put the washer on on new year's day. 😊

If you want to make a cool sunbather get a template of whatever and put it on contact paper then use tissue paper and cover with another piece. It’s beautiful

I make sure my houseis clean before New Year's Day. I also wash my clothes before the new year. I always told it's bad lucky to bring that in the new year
