Kids deserve to have a day all about them. Their own day, their own theme, all about them. It is not Jackson’s day. It is Oliver’s. They need to learn that

I am sure he will just be happy there are fun faces to see. Not like he will remember it anyhow. Who cares if a couple of extra preschoolers are there? When you have family over for a 1st birthday there are usually tons of kids if you don't have a small family. What's the difference whether they are Jackson's friends or some cousins?
I agree let Oliver have his own party and have the spotlight. You do a great job of always making Jackson feel special. It is important for older siblings to give their younger siblings their time to shine!
We always invite siblings friends so they have friends too. Especially at 1yrs old when they don’t have friends LOL it’s perfectly normal & fine to do that. Attention will still be on him. Not that he will even care
Oliver should have his own party with his own theme, family and family friends should make the majority of the guests - certainly shouldn’t be all Jackson’s friends - he will have his cousins to play with 😊

Tim, please keep a pair of eyeglasses next to your bed in case of emergency like a fire. Also, consider giving the boys different and unique birthday experiences since they share all the other days of the year, helping to make each if them feel more unique. Just my humble opinion.❤❤❤❤

Sidenote = I think it is excellent Jackson is asking those sorts of questions. It sort of reflects that his way into larger understanding is to explore context. That's a good thing in the grand scheme of building intelligence and oyher important things like compassion and empathy. Dig it!
Oliver needs his own day!!
Please give Oliver his own birthday party and a different theme than what Jackson's was. I noticed for Jackson's 1st Halloween you made his costume, for Oliver's 1st Halloween you had his costume go with Jackson's theme to match. As a 2nd child, we notice these things. It might come back to haunt you. Just kidding on the haunting.
*Editing to add - I sincerely love this family and vlogging channel. I am not saying it to make a dig to them at all. I just said it as I am the 2nd child and it was clear to me and still is...and I am almost 51, it still happens.
I've also noticed that they only call Oliver "the baby". I understand that Oliver is a baby but using the baby over and over again while they are using Jackson's name can feel a tad frustrating. Maybe saying "baby Oliver" instead. Idk just my thoughts not sure if this bothers anybody else. 😅

As a mama to four now grown sons, the first hard fall with an injury is always the worst. After that you just kind of roll with it. We called them battle scars, and they thought that was really cool!😊

Please give Oliver his own birthday. as someone who grew up the youngest of 3 siblings, my parents always made sure we had our own birthdays and everything to make us feel special even when they didn’t have any money. He won’t remember his 1st birthday, but it’s still important. ❤
Heck, yes, their toys are our toys!!! That's one of the great things about having kids!!!
When I was growing up and we had birthday parties my mom would let each of us invite one friend to come over. This way we had something to do and we wouldn't bother the other sibling and their friends.

Oliver needs his own party and Jackson needs to know sometimes it’s not about him. It’s healthy. Now maybe ghosts 👻 but more likely something is going on with an appliance or you have pests (raccoons, skunks, squirrels, possums…BATS 🦇… I remember seeing your bat situation in the other house 😁). Anyway lots of household things to check before we haul out the seance table 😉. My brother put his teeth through his lower lip jumping in the pool and I still have the scar from falling at school, hit my head on a corner of a cement step 😮. Love you all. 🧡🖤🧡
Awe, so sorry Jackson got hurt....it's the scariest and saddest anytime our kiddos get hurt. Sending Jackson a big hug! Both Jackson and Oliver are adorable!

We always just let the older child have one friend and his parents when the younger child was too little for a lot. We invited our friends and had a great time visiting and the little one enjoyed her self. Once they got older we invited the birthday kids friends and still one friend for the older. When they got in middle school they had a lot if the sane friends so it was easy them.

As a 31 year veteran teacher. Facial injuries heal faster than anything else. I’m sure he’s great. I know it’s hard to not worry.

Gosh me and hubby had a laugh as Oliver used his pointy finger several times while you’re not looking 😅❤
My son does the same thing with his middle fingers. His occupational therapist said it’s because there’s more strength in the middle finger and encourage more use of pointer finger to strengthen it.

I agree. This past Christmas felt like not Christmas. My son had surgery after Halloween. Time just stands still then we are getting ready for valentines day? I am not ready for Valentines.

Oh man! Poor Jackson. I hope he heals quickly. Back at the end of November my 3yo daughter tripped on her way into the house from the garage and hit her head on the step into the dining room. 😖 Her forehead split open. I just about had a heart attack when it happened. We rushed her to Arnold Palmer and thankfully she only needed stitches. Four sutures in total. She was such a trooper! Much braver than me.
Jackson Is just in the "why" development age. It is normal they want to learn details about different topics and it will help him become curious about everything surrounding him. Keep on giving examples. His future teachers will appreciate if you also teach him how to search for more information later on. And accidents happen, even with the calmest kid. It Is just a matter of learning how to act and react as a parent.

You can't count on snow in Canada in early winter these days. The seasons are a shifting up here. Snowy winter doesn't really start till late January into February. If you're interested in skiing and such I'd say aim for a March trip, the temps are more mild and less stormy. Good for outside activities.

it dont really matter if the house is newly built or old as dirt, if a spirit sees fit to wander and settle in a house for a bit, they will do so, but never give it attention or it will get your energy or essence from you, so just know there is something going on and dont ask who is it or ask it stuff, it will go away just dont show it fear, and you dont have to get into cleansing bcuz it will only get stronger, i live in and around spirits all my life

Oh that brings back memories!! My now 7 year old fell into the corner of the entertainment system during the third week of the Covid lockdown! Cut in the exact same place as Jackson. We were terrified as we didn’t want to go to the hospital durning the lockdown. Lots of popsicles and ice packs and all was well!! Rite of passage indeed! Hope Jackson heals up fast!!!

I hope Jackson heals fast! When I was around 6 I got my first minor injury playing a little rough with my older brother and my head hit the wheel of one of our bed frames and layers of skin ripped and I had to get stitches on my head. And when I was 9 I got a hairline fracture on my thumb from dance class lol. As a second child, and the baby of the fam, I did appreciate having my own costumes and parties. When I was little my parents would get us matching ones like my brother was Mickey and I was Minnie, and then the next year I wore his old Mickey costume haha. Our birthdays were also a month apart so in the middle of our birthdays we would have conjoined bdays. Not sure how it works with 2 boys but I hope you are able to give Oliver a special bday ☺️
The middle finger has the longest tendon and is the first to develop so babies often start pointing with that first as at the time its the strongest
I remember the year that my youngest went to the ER three different times.
She was definitely accident prone at around age five to six.
She caught her ankle in the screen door. She cut her chin open on the zipper of her coat while ice skating. She also bit her tongue while riding her bike. She needed stitches three times. I wanted to wrap her in bubble wrap.
The hospital staff separated us from her at one point and asked her if she was being abused. I mean..I get they were being cautious, but who cuts their child's tongue or ankle.
He'll heal up nicely. Maybe get some Mederma if you worry there will be a scar. ❤

Hi friends! As a pediatrician, I saw what happened to Jackson’s lip! It looks fine for now :) Just make sure that he doesn’t have any fevers or that the swelling doesn’t increase or else please go to the hospital !

It takes at least 3 months for the expedited passports and way longer if you don't do the expedite. Just for planning purposes do it soon if you want to go anywhere next fall. We did an expedited renewal and it came 2 days before our mexico trip!!
One of my coworkers and her husband and son got their passports in less than a month!
Not lately! I got my passport a year ago with expidation it took 2 months, my niece applied for her passport in August of this year and didn't get it until mid December, but my dad applied for his passport the last week of November (of this year) and got it just three weeks later, without paying for expedition! They told us the delays and backlogs have cleared.
I speak from experience. Our daughter hit her mouth on a slide when she was 5 and it ended up she had broken the root of her tooth. The tooth was not loose and was found via x-ray. Just something to keep in mind when injuries happen around the mouth.
Not to scare you but keep an eye on Jackson’s teeth where he fell. If they start to look gray or change color it could be from blood filling the tooth. This happened to my son on the playground and we had to have his front tooth pulled because it started to turn gray and then black. They pulled it to save his adult tooth.
I had so many stitches as a kid trying to keep up with my brothers😂😂
