The thin plastic card worked like a champ, no more leaking the rest of the trip. When I got home each fork only needed a few ounces of oil. The trip was a great success with tons of amazing memories.

I’ve have 16:21 never understood the inverted fork. The oil is constantly fighting the seal. My KLR has normal forks with boots, alas never a problem !!! With the inverted forks the rocks are constantly hitting the smooth tubes. Sometimes nicking them. Then they need replacement

Absolutely agree. We motorcyclists should be mindful of how we ride in every community. Motorcyclists quickly become better motorists than anyone else on the road, maybe excepting experienced truckers. We need to lead the way through courtesy, skill and mindfulness to stay alive, protect our privilege, and effect positive change on the roadways. God help us.

All that beauty you just showed, and a couple of viewers only observation from this entire video was a small comment about Donny and Melania pictures at a general store. Whatever your respective side is, I thought the side we were ALL on was the side of the love of 2 wheels and the enjoyment and excitement it gives us all. Great video. We did COBDR in August 2021 and rode Hagerman in a downpour, that was harrowing to say the least. However, the water crossing when we got to the end of it was nice and full. Such a great memory.

Do you get a chance to ride your GS much? I rented one in Hawaii, and brought it back (without a scratch) after riding around Maui - RAMIOD - Ride Around Maui In One Day. It made the hassle of carrying my helmet, boots and suit worth the effort. But I’ve scratched my own T7 several times, and I’m OK with that - the bike’s not the investment: I am. The bike just helps.

My KTM was very difficult to start after a cold night- Try running a tank of gas with "Injector Cleaner". That completely solved the hard starting for my bike. Either it was the injectors, or possible partially clogged in-line filter. I was advised by the Dealership to run 85 Octane rather than premium (91), but that doesn't make any sense to me, and it didn't affect the cold starting.(I have an 890-ADV Rally).
