Yul Brenner died in 1985 you need to change that 2023 you have listed. So sad they are all gone now it was one of my favorite westerns.
There are some films that stay in one’s memory as a landmark in life “The 7” is one and still as exciting and entertaining as it was when it was first released. Thankyou for an informative but wistful “update”
My all time favorite movie and I have literally seen it dozens of times, several of them in a theater when it first came out and later on VHS and DVD. I even have the soundtrack on cassette and DVD. Great movie, great cast!

Harry Luck did not betray the other six for personal gain. He actually left but in the end returned to help the other six out but was killed in the process. It might not be a bad idea to watch the movie before commenting.
These Magnificent 7 Actors were back in the 1960's My Favorite Western Movie Actors they each one performed a Magnificent Roll in that Film, i was a young Lad back then my cousins & all my friends we were Very Excited wen that movie was Shown on the Big Picture Threatre Screen the movie tickets cost us One Shilling & Thruppence we were all Stoked watching that movie in Colour at the beginning of the movie the over head picture theatre lights were turned off & Loud Stomping of Shoes began 2 rumble in the building it slowly faded & then the Magnificent 7 Movie started it was an Awesome Fantastic Action Movie Film from the beginning 2 the End "Memories are made of this" 😊😅😂

Then and now??? They all died several years ago!! They all look alike now: skeletons - It was an all time best western. the original samurai film it was made after was a great film too :)
Some of your character descriptions, and a few other things are off by a mile. I have this movie and have watched it a dozen times.
Who knew Yul Brynner was still alive in 2023? In case you missed it he fell off his perch in 1985. I didn't bother to watch it any further!

All are dead except for the youngest member. When was this put together. I watched this the other night. For all the gripers that rave about The Seven Samurai, the film credits the Japanese movie in the opening credits. Besides, the western format fits better than the latter. Samurai warriors were high ranking in Japan and probably wouldn't have actually liberated a poor village . If they had, they would have been many more than 7 and bandits would not have faced them. No, the 7 Samurai is a good film in places but the original story is kind of disjointed. It comes across better as a tale of gunfighters that are not able to find work anymore because of the civilized west and thus takes one last job for a pittance of what they made in the past. Robert Vaughn's character is the most tragic. A gunfighter that lost his nerve only to redeem himself shortly before he is gunned down.

I loved this original The Magnificent Seven movie and the second one both starring Yul Brynner. I think the bran new Magnificent seven show is disrespectful to Yul Brynner because they have a black guy as the leader. They should of had a guy resembling Yul Brynner to play the leader, not a black guy. That's the.reason I won't watch that new one.
