The little hops, the laughing and cooing... This is the most adorable thing I've ever seen. I have doves that visit my garden frequently and I've set up hanging feeders in my tree for any bird to have some lunch.
@@atlasdovy As a many years (20+) bird owner - canaries and doves. I clearly say you do NOT want a gf for him. Birds can be bound to their owner. Ringneck doves live in pairs. If they cannot find an opposite sex partner, they might even live in same sex pairs. You dove treats you as his mate. If you get him a gf, obviously he should turn away from you. But also - you are gonna end up with neverending egg cycle. If you dont want to breed them, you will need to take eggs. But remember - female dove is technically a hen. She will lay eggs. No matter what. That is why I prefer male birds. To not have to deal with eggs and maintnance around the eggs (different diet, egg binding etc).

I love seeing all of the morning doves as I walk my neighborhood. I think it would be too crazy to hear them outside if I owned one. My bird's copy the outside birds chatter and sometimes I think it's my birds

What I with their foot obsession?? My ring necked Norfy, runs after me every chance he gets. He lunges and gets so excited that he flaps about like he's having a seizure. It's like having a feathered flying kitten.
