Thank you very much, so glad to help. I would like to do some more videos on this amazing little effects device. I would like attempt a long ambient reverb/delay/stereo modulation that could compete with the BlueSky, Deep Space, or the NightSky premium effects pedals.
I picked up my BB yesterday & as I'm an analogue type of guy I immediately got stuck trying to trim the waveforms. Your brilliant video has solved my problem. Thanks.
You are welcome! Yes, that little procedure of pressing the correct buttons in the save parameters is not intuitive. So glad you can move on and make Some MUSIC!!
I was humming and hawing, about whether to get the BB, Your Tutorials have shown me that it would be a great investment. Thanks Funnzie, much appreciated!
You are welcome! The sound of this BB is so wonderful, you will actually save money by building your synths with samples instead of buying more synths.
Hello Funnzie, very nice initiative, there are almost no tutorial for the BB. Great Video Regarding the resampling of your first sound at the very end, I do believe that it was "shorter" because of the root note you have allocated to it (C2) as opposed to the default root note of others samples.
Great tutorial! I think you forgot a step at the end though. After you resample everything into a single pad, by default that pad will be monophonic. In the menus you can change it to polyphonic, and specify the number of voices (up to 16). Then have it listen to your keyboard midi channel (and set the original 3 samples to not listen to that channel), and you've got a full polysynth! The downside being that if you play a large spread on the keyboard it will sound a bit weird, as the higher notes will play the sample faster than the lower notes. But if you play mostly within one or two octaves, its great. I'm planning to use this technique to take my whole studio of synths with me as a portable setup with just the BB and a Keystep!
Yes, your whole studio in your pocket. The high quality setting on the BB is supposed to time stretch and pitch shift the sample so one sample can be played across the keyboard. It does not seem to function. I have not found out how to pitchshift/stretch a sample yet for keyboard play.
Cool little gadget. Need to go to video 1 and find out more. I just bought a Casio WK 7600 to use as a songwriting tool. Had the CT-470 for years and believe it or not, it still works. The Casio Wk 1630 was a dud for me. I have higher hopes for this model. but I hope I didn't jump the gun.
The WK7600 has a very powerful sequencer if you want to create your own styles from a blank program. The key touch is very controllable for advanced performances. It has lots of sounds but you will have to work layering and editing to get a good sound. Recommend good headphones, built in speakers are always a disappointment on all keyboards.
It is my refrigerator if you are referring to the background noise. I have finally a good microphone and won't have to use the mic on the camera. Hopefully this will eliminate the noise.
Thank you very much for this series of tutorials on the Blackbox, much appreciated! Got a unit recently and trying to learn as much as possible on its features. Just to make sure, on your 3 samples, it seemed you changed the settings on your synthesizer for each L-C-R sample taken (maybe oscillator used, or other settings) - correct?
You are welcome. Yes, used the mod wheel to feather in the filter sweep on each of the three samples. This allows a lot of movement within the sound once the stereo field is filled with LCR.
Question for you, Can the BB spread multiple samples across a single preset? ( not multisampling the same note across the keyboard but say having 8 different sounds, some spread over an octave chromatically and some being single shots, spread across a single preset or project and single midi channel ?
Yes. For example you can set up an entire drumkit as multi-samples assigning each part of the kit to a MIDI note number. This will then use just one of the 16 pads, and then use an external keyboard or pads to play the drums. You can always use the BB built in keyboard too. Assign any one MIDI channel 1-16 to the pad and then sequence in the sequencer by grid or playing in.
This is really one of the best tutorials on the Blackbox I have seen. Thanks so much for this!

Thank you. Amazing sampler this BlackBox.

Yes, you are correct, I forgot to assign a note value to the 2nd and 3rd synth pads.

This is impressive!
Thank you, or should we thank BlackBox for making this amazing sampler!
Thank you, these tutorials are great :)
You are welcome, BB is a great sounding way to add samples to music...or just a self contained song composer.
Great idea
Thank you. More ideas to come with more videos on the BlackBox!
25:45 you can ear when the Playstation starts

@@funnzie Thank you! So, settings were the same on the patch.
No. Each patch was slightly different, such as one was an LFO pulse width. This all adds to the stereo field movement.

You're welcome. Your MiniNova jam is kool! Are you planning on buying a Blackbox?
@@funnzie Yes! The blackbox will arrive in a week, I'm excited. Excuse my English. Thanks for your tutorials !!!
