That is the the best looking one I have seen in a while and if it is all original as you usually check out the 4 speed and 400 is nice. GM if I remember had the spares in bolted up under the package tray or deck in the front of the trunk to the floor. Happy Easter to you and your family, Mr. Jay!
Try doing some research, buddy, 10 bolt posi track? Give your head a shake. It's referred to as a limited-slip differential with 10 bolts my 68 GTO had. Had the 12 volt authentic true positive track that was put in because the stock is 10 bolt limited slip
Nothing is worse looking on a muscle car than the exhaust coming out the rear in straight pipes. These are not original to this car or many other muscle cars.
I lost count of how many mistakes you said describing the stock car. Especially that stupid spare tire location! That is so weird I've never seen that before. Indian Head marker lights? Those lights on the back corners are the Pontiac emblem.

I owned a 1970 GM A-body for 31 years. 1968 to 1972 are basically the same. Spare is right where it should be,

Worked at Pontiac dealer when this was new, those trumpet type tail pipe extensions were optional in 68 only

Missing both of the rear panels GTO tags!
