Unlike many other DIY folks, I love your style, so similar to my own. But may I give you a suggestion to buy the yellow plastic pour things to put on the rim of your paint cans before you pour out your paint. It saves the can from having paint puddle in those ridges...you'll love it! -Sharon

I painted all of my kitchen cabinets all by myself as well buy i used All in One paint and they also have a degreaser product you use to clean the surfaces before painting and you don't have to prime. I painted them about 2 years and they still look great.
Nice work on the custom table. The color selection for the cabinets is beautiful. I love your ambition and attention to details. BUT: You painted around the outlet plates and light switches rather than removing them. Sanding cabinets and especially the tops of the drawers with contents still inside the cabinets so the grit can fall into the drawer and you have to take everything out anyway to clean the drawers anyway. I realize you were up against a time deadline, but both of those are NOs.
I love that paint color! it’s all over my house and my upper cabinets in my kitchen are that color as well. you’ve also inspired me to build or rebuild my outside dining table🎉

I used Beyond paint with built in primer and top coat. My cabinets are beautifful, they were golden oak (yuck). Which paint tape do you use? I've tried several and they come unstuck or I get bleed through under the tape line.

Ha thanks so much! Yes definitely prime, but no you don’t need to remove the stain! You’ll want a good again blocking bonding primer, zinsser shellac is a good one for that!

Always clean before sanding cabinets. Then wipe down with alcohol to get rid of sanding dust. Great job! I love revere pewter on cabinets!!!
She always does and says to do that when she's building something, they probably didn't include that part.
