Most of the -500s and -600s have been retired by the airlines within a few years of them buying. The -300 lasted much longer. For instance Virgin Atlantic and Air Canada got rid of most of their later models after a few years. The -500 for instance was only in service with Air Canada for 5 years, while the -300 was in their fleet for 14.
I have a couple videos from my most recent vacation shot with my S3 and one trick I've learned (same with my camera) is to press 2-3 fingers against the window (just out of view of the lens) and more often than not that stabilizes the video.
To be honest though, how exactly would a video or digital camera impeded a plane's operations, especially when they're incapable of transmitting a signal? I'll snap however many pictures and videos of the journey I wish during my travels and there have never been any issues whatsoever.
It seems that the A340-500 and the A340-600 are not selling that good. I also heard that Singapore Airlines are selling their A340-500 back to Airbus. Maybe this is because of rising fuel prices and also they consume alot of fuel. The other reason is that maybe they prefer the B777s which can also travel the same amount of distance and carry the same amount of passengers and also less fuel burn. I'm not so sure. You should check airliners(dot)net
Does anyone know why so very few companies have this type of aircraft? I can't understand why Air France does do not have it, being France part of the Airbus company. It seems Air France prefers the Boeings 747.
Fantastic take off, congrats!!! and thank you so much to share :-)
There was I think cause there was a delay due to thunder storm; or maybe there wasn't. I totally didn't notice it and had forgotten about it.
A340-600 is rare item
