Purple and yellow are complementary and green is like a split complimentary for purple and I think they’re just AMAZING colors together. A few years ago my grandma made me a quilt and I requested green to along with the purple.
AHH how is Will two years old already?! .... Don't take this the wrong way, but you mentioning the color palette is 'a little weird' made me giggle because one of my favorite things about this channel is *your* weirdness!
Blackberries grow wild everywhere around this area; however, they all are of the thorny variety. That blackberry embed in this soap is spot-on! It looks so real, I thought it was!
We have *several* blackberry bushes we've grown in our backyard and they are all of the thornless variety. They are a little more tart, but if you allow them to sit on the vine an extra day they get really sweet as well. We use ours to make Blackberry Jelly for our grandchildren, as also as "snackers" straight off the vine when they visit in the summer. GREAT color combo in the soap!
This is one of my favorite color combinations so far this year! As for blackberries, I think I have picked thornless blackberries, but the massive monstrossity of a bush we have in our backyard is mostly thorned (with some parts being thornless since it is a combination of multiple plants?)
Happy birthday Will! Also sending love your way Katie because today is also the day you went from a mother of one to a mother of two and that also deserves to be celebrated!
We had a BUNCH of thornless blackberries exactly like the ones you showed. They're very productive, so you'll get a lot of fruit and they make so much you can even share with birds and wildlife! They are more tart, and can for sure have a harder core if you pick them too early. They're best cooked, they get much sweeter. Also good in salads.
I love the blackberry soap 🍃 So I grow both thorn and thornless blackberry and I'd have to say you picked the right one. They grow bigger, and no pricklies to navigate. This year is my second year and the vine has gotten big enough to need support. One thing I noticed is ladybugs love them, they rest in the flowers. 🐞🐞🐞 Happy gardening 🥰
Rewatching this one to comment, I opened this soap a couple of days ago and it is the nicest soap I have ever smelled! I bought so many from the tutti fruity collection and have been saving this one up for a while. Absolutely gorgeous soap, thank you 😊
Katie - this soap is gorgeous! That frosting is 💯 Happy birthday to dear sweet Will! I have picked wild blackberries at my grandmas when I was a child - full of thorns but totally worth it for the pie. Can’t wait to check out the blog!
This is gonna be the perfect soap for my bff's bday! I'm so excited to order, it's nice to buy your soap for other people because I can't use it! Love ya Katie
My childhood garden had a massive blackberry patch...it definitely was not a thornless variety! But nothing beats fresh blackberry cobbler, jelly, or sorbet, so the scratches were worth it.
I love the colors of this soap. In fact I liked them so much I just used them in the soap batch I made yesterday, except I used black instead of dark purple. The green, yellow, and purple remind me of of Mardi Gras. Watching this video is a trip to think someone else was also thinking about using them too. It's like wearing the same color clothes as your friend when you meet up to hang out without planning to.
You know when Katie is so into the questions and talking when she makes little mistakes like the one blob of frosting and then the alternation of the leaves on the second loaf 🤣🤣🤣 gotta love a good chat with your bff ❤️❤️
Also, those thornless blackberries look almost like mullberries (idk his it's spelled right now) I had a few trees in my yard at a house I used to live it, my mom made jelly and other things out of what we could salvage 🤣🤣
I definitely like watching the part where she is doing the frosting, but not so much FOR the frosting - but for her conversation/getting to know her better
I love my thornless blackberry!!! A brewery near my MIL's was moving their blackberries and if you came and helped out you got to take plant home. My MIL helped and gave me the blackberry plant. It's been doing great for 5 years now in my front yard garden. The berries are huge compared to the wild ones out back.

That swirl is beautiful! I'd love to see it on a t-shirt or something! I wish I could afford your soaps - they look glorious!
You should make pride flag soap for June!!
I just love the Harold’s Purple Crayon name because I still love to read that book. It’s WONDERFUL.
That Peter Pan is my comfort movie, too! I would watch that to fall asleep whenever I felt very anxious.
your teeny scraper for the colors is absolutely precious!!
I like the leaves sticking up better. I like the little specks in the frosting! Loved the question portion! What fun questions!
Happy birthday Will! Also sending love your way Katie because today is also the day you went from a mother of one to a mother of two and that also deserves to be celebrated!
Honestly, no one is ever too old for anything. Joy is joy is joy :)
Harold’s purple crayon is one of the most gorgeous colours I’ve ever seen!!!!
Absolutely gorgeous soap, thank you 😊
One of my comfort movies...all time favorite is YOU'VE GOT MAIL
Never too old for a bouncy castle!!!
YES!!!
Katie - this soap is gorgeous! That frosting is 💯
Happy birthday to dear sweet Will!
I have picked wild blackberries at my grandmas when I was a child - full of thorns but totally worth it for the pie. Can’t wait to check out the blog!
I like the leaves flat and I am really enjoying the blend of colours.
Man, this looks just like a mixed drink! And it has such a great color combo! Awesome Job, Katie!
Yes!!!! Please keep the conversation going. I love that you love your bestie and the questions help us know a lil more about you
Im feeling the Yellow right now..im doing a Yellow themed soap soon! Im so lucky i have BlackBerry bushes..mmmmmm!😍🌞🦋⭐🌼🌈
I like the leaves sticking out. Gives me realistic vibes
Complete transparency, I don't make soap or buy fancy soap (I have lots of allergies). I just like watching you. You're so excited about what you do, nice, and funny. Watching your channel is like hanging out with a goofy excited friend.
