I was going back and forth on these 2 and chose the X80K and am picking it up this afternoon. I like that you can see the darker scenes clearer on the X80K in your comparison. We're coming from a Hisense that was terrible when it came to dark scenes. Even on the brightest setting, we couldn't make out what was happening in a lot of scenes.
I bought 43x80k and comfirmed it is VA panel. I am using it in bedroom for mac monitor and movie watch. color contrast are better than my previous LG 32inch 4k hdr ips monitor. but va panel view angle is narrow, for bedroom is suitable.
Good stuff Steve, I just purchased a 43” Roku select series tv. I think for most people, this is a great buy with the. Just right feature set. Personally, very happy here
@@harold4371 I've been gaming on it since I got it. Most games are 30 or 60 FPS right now and honestly it looks amazing! I love it! Perfect for my needs!
Hey Steve, just want to give you kudos for your intelligent choices. One example is how you took each Sony TV model and broke down what the differences were, and who their target customer might be. @Sony should take a look at your channel and at the very least should offer you free product to review but in all reality you should find a way to monetize this passed just TH-cam. Well done Steve and you helped me to make an educated decision on which TVs to choose. I already have an x85 85” in my bonus room with my PS5 and will be replacing a broken 65” LG with an X80 65” for my living room. That will be a bright room where we mostly watch broadcast tv, or stream football games where the max resolution is 720p.
Thanks for ur info. I haven’t shopped for a tv in a long time and I clearly need to learn about all the new features and settings. This was very informative. I’ve had my Sony Bravia KDL 40s4100 since 2008! It’s still working fine with minor stuff like loose hdmi connections in the most used drive. That about it. Sony makes a great product. Now I’m looking at the upcoming ps5 pro and feeling I need to upgrade my tv for it. I’m planning a Black Friday tv purchase and get max bang for my buck. I’m assuming I’ll stay with Sony this video helped that. It’s just which model. I wish I could side by side with my current tv to really see the diff b4 buying. I wish I could get a non-smart tv still tho.
What do you think of the 85X90CL vs the 85X95K? I currently have the 85X90CL and stream 99.99%, but I'm considering buying a PS5 for Black Friday. I like the X90CL because of its clarity and colors, but I wouldn't mind if it was brighter, had mini-led, and more dimming zones 😁. Is the 85X95K for $2,600 + mini-led+ more dimming zones worth considering over the 85X90CL for $2,000+ 5 year free warranty + XR Clear?
Find a best buy that has the Sony TV wall with 5 TVs. The X93L will be in the center, and the X90L will be in the lower right corner. The X93L is almost identical to the X95K, so this is a good approximation of the TVs.
I've tried both 80K and 85K, now got the X90K: picture is similar between all 3 but the 80K will have the most faded black, 85K is better, 90K best from their LED line up for 2022. 120Hz was also much better for sports, X85/90K are flawless for fast paced content.
Hey. Visited best buy today and checked few TVs in person. X80k definitely looks way better than X77l. X80k looked almost similar to X85k except the 60 hz and 120 hz difference. Then X90l looked way better than X85 and X93L of course even better than X90l.
I am looking to upgrade my old plasma TV. I was looking to spend around $1,200 for 75" and found three tvs on sale in this range. The Samsung Q70C, Sony X85K & LG QNED80. For around $1,200 would you recommend any of these? Also, the LG OLED B3 77" is at $1,800 now. For another $500 is this a great buy? Thanks Eric
Yikes, these are all going to seem like a downgrade from a plasma, spend a little more and get a Sony Oled, otherwise I’m pretty sure you’ll be disappointed.
@@TechSteve really? Hmmm why would that be? I’m literally debating on which one to buy.. I want one with the better technology that’s gonna last me for a while and not give me any issues. And I don’t see as many complaints about the Sony X80K and seeing your review, I also like it even more and both are around the same price. I either need a Google TV or a fire tv. Yes
IPS because of wide viewing angle.

The 65 inch x75k is more expensive than then the 65 inch x77L at Best Buy. Is it because the lower tier 75k is considered better than the 77L?
60 hz compared to 120 hz ? will that affect picture?
