Great video ! You always impress me with your knowledge of the counties, towns, cities, roads, highways, and MOST IMPORTANT, the railroad crossing names. You're well vested in your state. Maybe Fred is still nursing a hangover from new year's.
There's a 0.44% climb from the CN Crossing to US 8. They are required to come to full stop at the crossing, so southbound it's a bit of a tug to get going uphill from dead stop.
Oh wow full tankers led by SD-9 1221 trailing sd40-2 503 also pulling 52 cars that's cool man they've expanded on what they pull on their trains and how about all that LP smart siding eh? hell of a train right there.
I just looked at a Wisconsin DOT official rail map to see exactly where the ELS ran. Since that train was running south the Propane tankers were most likely empty and being returned to one of the Chicago area refineries for reloading.
I always did my first blast at the whistle post, which was 1/4 mile from the crossing. Then I waited with the other three until closer to the crossing.
Those EMD's were sounding sweet 👍 crank it up!

Another great looking video. Crisp images. Steady shots. Very nice.
I am surprised every time I see the train moving that fast on that track.

Looks like spring weather, but love the U.P trains no matter the weather! Great footage
One train of LP loads and propane. WOW.
That was a great sound as they starting south. 1221 even smoked a bit for us. Outstanding video as usual. Thanks for sharing. 👍
These guys need to be on that horn way more than that.
Boy those Locomotives sounded notched up at the beginning! Wonderful video, Jason as usual 10*’s, what a huge long train! Heavy siding cars!

@erie910 Yes, I was an engineer for C.N. North America, and I would always give extra blasts if needed.
Not much snow down there
27 loads of siding these trains are getting longer
What's good Jason?🫡
That's a solid train of revenue! I wonder if ELS will invest some of that revenue on track rehab in 2025?!? 🤔🙄🇺🇲
53 cars
I can't believe that first "yahoo" racing across the tracks without hesitation when the lights and sounds at the crossing are going.
cool and first
They’re hauling ass, what’s tge reading..?
