- Join Joe & Matt in Toy Shop on Tour's "French Connection" as the boys set off across France to visit Orleans for an amazing toy show, in search of some French classic toys and to complete their quest for Jonathan Ross!
Some awesome stuff there fella's!! Love those Mexican Bootlegs, I'd have been all over those myself! Nice to see the Once upon a time figures too, the little hairy dude is ace!
Bootleg lady was amazing! The Power of Knock Offs!
You know it's a great episode when your physically leaning forward off the sofa to get a closer look at what's being shown. Looking forward to the next one!
Ah thanks very much! Glad you enjoyed it!
So many lovely things. Such a shame we never had those amazing '70s and '80s Japanese figures and vehicles here in the UK.
This channel is the most addictive thing on TH-cam. Productions brilliant and if there's a more likeable person on the planet than Joe I haven't met them. Well done.
That’s so kind, thanks for the comment. We appreciate it very much
The secret of this show is been shown the rare stuff and bits of history that we forgot about
Brilliant stuff, chaps. One of the Freeview channels need to buy the rights to the TSOTs, put them on TV and then fund the next series where Joe goes to Mexico on the hunt for weird knock-off toys.
Now that’s the dream!!
Can I just say "Thank you" For years I have tried to remember the name of the cartoon I watched as a kid during the 6 weeks holidays. Once upon a time... is the name, wow after all this time.
Glad we could assist! It was an amazing show and the toys are glorious!
This video just unlocked a memory of when I owned a Captain Zargon with the green visor. I even remember the smell of that figure.
Once again, more passion that you can shake a gundam at! Wonderful.
Ah thanks very much!! We do love what we do!
Its funny when you speak two languages, and you understand everyone talking.
Fun video ! I don't collect vintage toys, but I find these videos to be pretty cool !
Thanks for watching! Glad you are enjoying them even as a non collector. That means a lot 🙏👍
@@leicestervintagetoyshop I am mostly a modern collector, but toys are toys, and enthusiasm over toys is something I will get tired of ! Continue the good work lads !
Nnnnoooooooo!!! I was grinning from ear to ear there watching this and then it had to end😂 Need the next part soon please Matt! Top notch as always👍
Soon come! Part deux to follow very soon
Another smashing episode! I watched all of TSOT Series 1 & 2 over the Christmas break. It was the ONLY "TV show" I watched during the whole period as I don't actually have a TV (like Joe growing up, except through choice!) And I don't even collect toys! But TSOT is such a feel-good show. The enthusiasm is contagious, the nostalgia is soothing, and the whole package is so nicely made - thoroughly professional quality, but with a cosy hand-made feel.
Today's episode was brought to you by Combien? Un, deux, tois cent. Et cinquante = fifty!
That’s lovely, thanks for such a great comment we’ll try and keep it up! (TV is overrated ;-)
Best day ever 🎉
Thanks David, hope you had a good one!
Great to hear the TSOT jingle return at the end of the video :) its soo catchy
Especially for you!
Joe my wife said you look cute like Cartman with your bob hat on 😂😂
He’s available for adoption!
@@leicestervintagetoyshop she's getting the room ready as we speak 🤣🤣

Glad to hear it! Thanks for watching and commenting!
Roadkill Snowy! lol.
Great video lads! ;)
Thought that section was a bit… flat.
''Er Was Eens....'' : Dutch for ''''Once Upon A Time..'' is one my favorite tv-shows of all time. Saw it in the early 80s on Dutch tv (the whole programming of kids tv on Wednesday afternoon, which also included ''Battle of the Planets'').
I do not collect or buy but I loveeeeeeeee toy shop on tour. My happy videos ❤
Thank you we try and make it broad enough so everyone can enjoy the toy joy!
Still the best thing on the internet! Can’t wait to see what’s in the ginormous Battle of the Planets box 😮 so much cool stuff as always 👏
Can't wait for you all to see it!!
Will it air next Sunday @@leicestervintagetoyshop ?
@@dazatronsdioramallama6370 no a couple of weeks at least we think

My favorite show!!!

That was a so fun video guys. So much awesome toys that I want to buy myself. 😎👍👍👍
Part 2 lands this Sunday!
Vive la 🇫🇷 great episode! You need to do the Chicago toy show once 😊
We will…….🫢
Soon……
@leicestervintagetoyshop you better let Me know and visit the collection lol
fun fact the red ship for 450 euro was a design borrowed by blue bird toys and used in the mantaforce line as red venom
oooooh interesting! Thanks Adrian 👍
Is part 2 going up today? Keep up the good work, we apprecaite it. Deserves far more views, fantastoc production quality
Part two will follow in a few weeks. Thanks for your comment and kind words it is much appreciated
@@leicestervintagetoyshop you are welcome, can't wait for part 2. You guys obviously put in so much effort into these videos, it just smacks quality.

Hurray!!
Awesome but where is gav???
Gav left sadly
@@leicestervintagetoyshop aw we will miss him, you made a great team
Hi I have the GI Joe Defiant with driver and astronaut other Gi Joe figures etc from that period Gen 1 Transformers ie Jetfire casseticons Britains prairie wagon and farm animals. Thomas the tank engine play sets scalextric cars and track about 10 years old can you give me any advice on how to sell them
Most of those items would be desirable and an easy sell. If in the U.K. feel free to get in touch with us at Leicester vintage toy shop
Thanks will try and give you a call next week
29:12 There was nothing original on that entire table xD
I also don't get why Grendizer seems to be more popular than mazinger in italy and france.. Mazinger all day every day over here.
Can't wait to see if you did get that dick dastardly car, just get it man, it's good to splurdge once every so often, specially when they are hard to get.
Nothing original but lots of cool Mexican KO stuff! That Dick Dastardly car……. Well you’ll just have to wait and see….
@@leicestervintagetoyshop I'm glued to my screen, love your videos!
Matt picked up something original from that table!
@@SpoonJarFilms Can't wait to hear what Matt the cameraman got!
Who picked the sound for the logo at the end of each video btw, that is such a pick me up xD
Get a 3stooges vibe from it.
The company name is taken from a magic trick the comedian Tommy Cooper used to do with a Spoon and a Jar in 1970s on British TV…. Matt has become taken by some Japanese wrestling toys, we’ll say no more!
Thanks for watching & commenting 👍
C'mon guys It's really not difficult to learn half a dozen phrases in another language to help you navigate a retail situation. "How much?", "Can you do a deal?" Can I look?" Phones have apps for this sort of thing now if you struggle with remembering stuff. It's just lazy to not do this and you'll get on with people much better if you make the effort.
Lazy. 😂 sheesh. Weird one that we work really hard to bring high quality content from all over Europe.
@@leicestervintagetoyshop working hard on a video and learning a few simple phrases are two very different things. Let's not play dumb here. It would make much better content if you learned to ask "how much?" In another language instead of doing the cringey British thing of asking again in English but slower and louder. I mean it's not like you spend hours in a vehicle driving where you could practice 🙄
@@leicestervintagetoyshop I love your videos by the way I'm not just trolling you. I genuinely think it will improve the videos and have an impact on how you interact with sellers at these events.
Matt says “combien” half a dozen times over the course of these two episodes, as well as “tres jolie”,” Pardonne-moi” etc Looks like he did take the time to learn a few phrases all be it from Tricilore in 1988… now Norway, that might take some new skills 😊
@@finjibuns when we are driving we are often researching our next trip, sorting out when we have time to do drone shots there’s a lot of organising done on the fly. Language wise we do try but often in the heat of the excitement of a toy show or shop it can desert you completely even when you have had a go whilst in transit. Hence the issues we had in Italy where Joe kept saying Thankyou in Spanish. 🙄
As yet Joes Punjabi language skills have not been called into play but they are ready and waiting!
The work we put into these shows is huge and they cost a lot of money to make with each and every show making a loss and the one thing we are certainly not is lazy.
Can't wait!!!! Looks amazing!!!!! 👀👀👀👀👀🤩🤩😉👍👍👍👍👍
TSOT is a bloody genius series❤
Thanks very very much!
That looked like one of the best vintage toy fairs I have seen. So much variety of good vintage stuff. I find the UK fairs a bit hit and miss and very narrow. It looks like the place to visit.
I totally agree!👍
Got my ham and roasties to eat watching this. Perfect timing. Great episode as usual. #PraiseMatt
Thanks Ian!
Great show guys. Always worth a watch.
Amazing. I can’t tell you how much joy your videos bring me. Will watch numerous times in preparation for episode II. 😊😊
Lovely comment! Thanks for watching!
Can’t wait for Part 2 - oh my goodness that was amazing - enjoyed every minute 😊 🇫🇷 Blue He-Man what a delight 🎉
He’s awesome!!
this is fucking ace thanks guys
Amazing toys and awersome Video
Thanks so very much!!
I'm more of a diecast fan, but this is like a toy only Salvage Hunters....
Fantastic video yet again ! Feels like I'm right there sharing the excitement of opening a ( banana ) box of mystery toys.
We want to go back!!
Magnifique! That was so very good. You must both be very proud. Top notch quality. I look forward to the next installment. I spotted Barbapapa toys. I used to love that as a child. Well done to you both.
Ah thanks so much! It is very much appreciated
Amazing Toys and always a great show! France is full of cool vintage!
It really is! We keep seeing things when we watch the video back and wonder why we didn’t ask about certain things! So many amazing, amazing toys
Great stuff
Another great episode guys, love those once upon a time pieces. Can't wait for the second part, well done!!
Thanks Dennis!
Fantastic, would love to see a galoob/bandai inspector gadget or any gadget stuff :)
Noted! Episode 2 might give you a treat then!
Yet another cracking episode.Looking forward to part 2.
You guys absolutely keep killing it! So good. Well done lads!
Thanks so much for watching and commenting! 😊
Not sure if the heavy breathing, while handling the Dick Dastardly car, was intentional but it's completely understandable! 😂
The excitement got to the big fella!
@@leicestervintagetoyshop 😂😂🤣
A really cool video! 👍
Thank you very much!
Monsieur! With these Toy Shop on Tour you are really spoiling us! 😂
I just realised that Joe probably wont get this reference with his Dickensian childhood! 😂
I’ll take him a pyramid of Roche in celebration
Just awesome mate
Thanks Brian!
26:06 if you know that the correct pronunciation is Mee-Go then why do you insist on calling it Meh-Go? Marty Abrams explains how and why the company got its name MEGO. I can only imagine how you pronounce Tamiya! I expect much better from you, Joe! 😅😂 let the sarcasm begin!
I’ve always called them Mego just like Lego. If you are looking for 100% accuracy then I’d suggest that this channel may continue to disappoint you.
I didn’t even know about Tamiya being pronounced differently! 😂
We know what we’ll be discussing next time Pete! As ever thanks for watching and commenting 👍
@@leicestervintagetoyshop And that’s why I love you Joe!! ✌🏼❤️✊🏼 You are a riot!! It’s too bad Gav left the show but you’re doing a great job, toeing the line! Yours is 1 of my 3 favorite YT channels! If ever I visit the UK…in order of priority, Leicester Toys will be my first stop, then Stonehenge! 😅
Hugely enjoyable once again!
Thanks Jamie
Hope u got that Wacky Races car
You’ll have to wait and see!
Blue blistering barnacles! Ostrogoths! Who drank my whisky? ❤
Amazing video! Wonderful show. Eyes anyone have a link for updates on this toy fair?
Any idea what the large pink and white ship is at 18 mins?
Very expensive "flea market" toys..can it be described as flea market for toys..?
No it’s a toy fair.
Ok
I adore this channel. It's like it's being made just for me.
That’s the kind of comment that really makes it all worthwhile. Thanks so much!
In a way, it is!
