If you read the novel that told of his story before and after the events of the game, then yes. More so by the fact he likely received word of the loss of the Jackdaw, his daughter somewhat refusing to have anything to do with him in her teenage years. Plus, the fact that the injury he received from Roberts still plagued him, so it led to his death when Templars attacked his home, abducted his daughter and then proceeded to brainwash his son. He's known as a tragic hero, but eventually, all tragedies end and give rise to a new beginning. That beginning, in my opinion, is Conner's story in AC3 and what he does after the events of the game.
god Ezio's speech about understanding life's greatest values always makes me tear up he was and still is the greatest assassin in the series nothing can replace him it was a borderline masterpiece

What made me cry is Yusuf's death in revelations like I haven't got to meet him that much and suddenly he's dead,and also he spent his life trying to protect Sofia until he can't anymore,a true Assassin of the Brotherhood
Altair is my favourite AC character & I was thinking that how horrible is to die alone in a huge ass library protecting a secret & waiting for someone special to come so that you could pass onto that secret to that person. It sure is heart breaking.😭😭😭😭

I am 63 and have been playing video games for 40 years, for the first time ever, in Assassin's Creed Origins I really felt the death of a character, I came close to crying over the death of Shadya
I felt like the one death that hit me hard was Phiobie’s death in AC Odyssey. She’s been with Alexios/Kassandra from the start of the game and she admired them, and when she got killed you can even feel that the main character was obviously broken and had a lot of negative emotions going through them. And the fact that she was very young and she was killed without hesitation was really heartbreaking.
I was crushed when I found out Cristina had died, the first time I was affected by a video game emotionally , I’m glad ezio was able to love another woman again and passed away peacefully .
Redheads are always heartbreakers. Marie being killed, Anne turning Edward down, Caroline dying offscreen, Elise picking revenge over love and dying. Sofia could be called the only happy ending Redhead, except that Ezio's death was still saddening for such a great man.

A boy from a portrayed banker family to losing his father and brothers then becoming a grand master assassin after all of those events that happened in his life at least he had a great time to built a family of his own even saving his loved ones from the templars countless times rest in peace ezio may you soul be pleased with the work you have done in this life
I think shadya death is sad because bro,she was a child,she had a whole life to live,seeing an innocent child dying for basically no reason hurts so much
You should've add Lucy's death too. I know that she was a traitor, but really, that felt so emotional and sad, because she really seemed very close friend of yours, so being forced to kill her because of some random goddess tells you to was just terrible
Haytham was one of the best Templar Grandmasters the Order ever produced. He only let his guard down because despite all their fighting, he couldn't bring himself to kill Connor.
I remember I was trying to be selective in my assassinations, doing non-lethal takedowns on soldiers just doing their jobs and killing those who deserved it. But after Shadya's gruesome death, nobody was safe. Everyone who worked for the Order was fair game.
I've only played Odysee and Valhalla, so far and all i can say is i was nlt prepared for Phiobie's death. Usually i do not like kid characters in games, but i just could not dislike this kid. So when i reached that scene where she dies i was sat there like '...no...no...no...undo it...undo it...right now...' i reset the mission and tried multiple times to see if there was some trick, like of i got there faster could i prevent it. I was convinced i'd done something wrong, i went online and was genuinely gutted to find out there is nothing you can do to save her. My Bestie is the reason i even played the game at all, and she did not warn me about Phoibie's death.
The first time I played the Ezio Trilogy, I didn't playthrough the Cristina memories. It was when I played Revaluations for the first time that I heard about Cristina. I had to go back to Brotherhood and I got the story. 😔
