You have saved me a ton of money. I was about to contact a plumber to come and fix and we know how expensive they are. Bingo. I cleaned that little hole that I didn't even know was there and voila! all working. Thank you!
You are amazing! I worked with a handyman for hours and the appliance store told me we needed a spark igniter module. but the handy man said electric was working. we could not figure it out for the life of us and after watching your video , my stove was fixed within minutes. Thank you for saving me time and money,
Thank you! The gas wasn't clogged, and the igniter worked, but the burner wouldn't light. Then around 3:45 minutes in you pointed out a little hole that went from the gas to the igniter, that I hadn't noticed. Reamed it out, and now I'm a hero, but credit to you.
Thank you so much! I'm a widow, didn't have my husband to check it out, so I came to google and found your video. YOU ROCK! I did exactly as you instructed and all burners are working. thanks so much
Hello dear sir, THANK YOU for the video. My wife was breaking my chops wanting to spend another $1,500.00 plus on buying a new gas range. One of my burners was not lighting by itself and would not light all the way even after using a match. I cleaned it the way you demonstrated on the video and like magic, we have a strong flame💪👍. This is just like cleaning a clogged gas lawnmower carburetor.
I love you! I just cleaned by stove today...which never happens. And then I tried to cook my Korean beef soup and none of the burners worked. I did exactly what you said, and it worked like a charm. You saved me from takeout!
You are a lifesaver, after a cleaning, all of our burners stopped working, after following your steps all is good, I was about to put a beat down on my range! Thanks a million!
Update: My wife cleaned the stove last night and I acted as if I knew what I was doing, cleaned it and it worked (again) and I earned some brownie points
I was able to clean out the orifice without disassembling the burner. I used a pointed plastic stick and placed it just above the tip of the igniter and was able to clean it out. Seeing the anatomy of the burner in your video really helped. Thanks
Yah!!! It worked for my stove! I only had one burner that had a good strong flame. The rest were either not coming on or creating a very small fire. Now, I am back in business and all the burners are working again! Thank you!
Thanks so much! I don't have that brand, but you did such a good job explaining the parts that I knew what I was looking at and was able to bring my "not so robust anymore" burner back to acting brand new. Best of all, I didn't need to take anything apart - everything was in plain sight after the cap came off!
After cleaning Whirlpool stove with baking soda, 1 burner didn't ignite. I disassembled the regulator per your video & found a big piece of baking soda blocking the gas inlet. It took me 10 minutes to fix & I'm sure it also safe me $$$. Thanks a bunch!
Thanks! Great explanation. There are several "How-to's" on this problem on TH-cam, but you are the only person that explained the how/why the whole thing works (i.e. this speads the flame, this is the gas line, this pin hole allows the gas to reach the spark, etc.)...THANKS!!
I had the cap and base off, cleaned that area real good, but the burner still didn't ignite. After watching your video, I put a toothpick into the little hole (that I didn't know was there), moved it around a little, and then the burner ignited on the first try. Thank you so much!
THANK YOU SIR...I finally cleaned my stovetop and I was like wth is going on..All I could think of was that I ruined it using the DIY stovetop cleaner recipe...thank God this was here, I was like Im not calling the appliance folks, I'll be getting an electric lighter to get the burners going of they dont cut on...I was able to watch this and literally do it myself..I was so happy..its the little things..🤸🏿♀️🤗
Giving credit where credits due! Thanks for your help in figuring out why my burner wouldn’t light! Just needed a little cleaning! Excellent video and thank you!
Thank you so much for this video! I am not that knowledgeable about appliances at all. I cleaned my stove range and all of a sudden it would not light. Maintenance was ignoring my calls. I followed your advice and fixed it myself! HA!
Amazing explanation and thank you for your time for doing this! Minor advice: try to get the video to focus on specifically what you are talking about. It's not to say I couldn't understand but it removes the unclarity. Great video and thank you for you time!
Talents/abilities are not dictated by reproductive parts. Thanks for all your help. I should have started with the straight pin. We are now cooking on all five burners, so to speak.
you all prolly dont care but does anyone know a method to log back into an Instagram account..? I was stupid lost the account password. I would appreciate any tips you can offer me!
@Nash Landon i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site thru google and I'm in the hacking process now. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
It may not be poor wife's fault. My igniter was clogged with a white powder. Possibly *Aluminum Oxide or **Carbonic Acid (H2CO3). But your video was a big help, thanks for the excellent effort. *The aluminum tube that the gas comes through is oxidizing ( corroding) from a bit of water condensation in the gas and the air in your house and the heating and cooling process. **Two of the by products of natural gas combustion are Carbon Dioxide (CO2) and Water Vapor (H20). When these two gases condense, they combine to form Carbonic Acid (H2CO3). When gases cool the water vapor condenses, and when the water evaporates, a white powder is left.
Thank you for this video, I scoured my stove top with baking soda and wondered why 4/5 burners would light after. A sewing pin through that little hole later and it’s working like new!
Bless you! I was the cleaning culprit and now I am also the fixer. Only suggestion would be to name that tool you used to get screws out - wasn’t anything In our tool, box but took video to hardware store for help.
Awesome! You saved me. I had a boil over and could not get it to ignite after clean up. You explained all the areas and components very well. It turns out for me, there was some dried debris in the little tiny hole where the gas meets the spark. I took a paperclip and pushed the debris out and VIOLA, my stove top burner works again!
Thanks so much man ..I have this same stove and my middle burner has been out of commission for a while. This was the exact problem and now I'm back in business!!
Thanks a pant load! I was getting ready to remove everything to get a better look. This is the only video necessary on this subject besides maybe a burner replacement video. Thanks, broski
Thank you so much from Israel. Really informative and explanatory. Even though my stove works differently I was able to use your explanation to fix my stove.
Omg if I had only seen this video 3 years ago 😂 I wouldn’t have struggled with only three burners all these years. I didn’t even have to remove it all I did was stick the needle in the whole and it did it! Thank you very much!
This video was great but the little clogged hole wasn’t actually my problem. A spider had gotten into the main hole in the gas regulator and the cobweb obstructed the gas flow. The video still guided me to check the gas flow. Thanks!
Worked great on a Kenmore stove. A small sewing needle fits into the gas lighter hole if a toothpick doesn't get it all clean. White vinegar will also help loosen any grease.
Awesome DIY tutorial for any Dad OR Mom. I got my stove top sparking to fire in no time. I've even set a recurring reminder to clean these parts more frequently. Thanks again!
Thank you. This worked for me. I had at first tried to clear this, as the manual instructed , without removing the flame diffuser. Taking it off to wash, dry and put back solved it.
This exact thing just happened to us on our Kenmore. Wife cleaned the stovetop and burners and then one burner wouldn’t light without using a match. Did exactly as you said and had it working in a couple minutes. (Took longer to find a socket than it did to fix..lol) Thanks you for the tip!
Haha! In my house, I'm both the wife and the fix-it person. Today, I knocked over a pitcher of water onto the stove. Thanks for sharing what I need to do next.
Thanks to your video I will attempt to fix mine. I've been scared to death to touch it because I've only ever used an electric stove. Where I work now I fix meals for people and there is a gas stove there so I'm getting more comfortable with it. I can hear clicking noises on all four burners but no flames come out of any of them. I just moved into this place. Thanks again for the video!
this video helped me out a tone my biggest burner on the stove was blocked for a good 7 years I could only get 10-15% of the flame stuck a needle down the jet and wiggled it with te gas on and bits started flying out and the pressure went up behind the gas I could hear it come roaring through again thanks a lot for this vid because it realy helped me out!
YAY! It worked! Thanks for your video, no more matches! I did notice although when I tightened the screws it did not work. When I loosened then after cleaning the trapped gunk, it worked.
Thank you! that worked! But enough with the "your wife cleaned the stove....blah blah blah" My husband is actually the one who always cleans our stove!
Thank You! Your recommendation worked perfectly...I want to also say it was so, so, so simple/easy! I thought I was going to need to call in a repair person - no 2 min - done!
Thanks for sharing. We were frying with cooking oil and had a flareup and quickly put it out with some baking soda which clogged it up. For the past two months we’ve been dealing with it not lighting.
My nigga! Saved me from calling a repair man. I have a similar Kenmore. Oil spilled and pilot wouldn't light. This video wasn't my exact problem, but led to me solving the problem! Gratitude!
Hi, there. I just wanted to let you know that my husband managed to fix the broken stove burner by inserting the needle into gas nozzle as you suggested Thank you for your help & advice . 😀
very good. i too have a frigidaire stove that had a clogged pilot hole. however, was able to avoid removing the distributor. the pilot hole is large enough for a straightened paper clip to ream it out. i also used dust off with its tube to blow out the hole....you can feel flow through the hole when cleaned.
Thanks so much. I didn’t even remove the burner. I could fit a wire right in the hole by removing the grill beside it and poke the tiny hole that was blocked. Thanks again
Thank you. I read your comment and followed what you have mentioned and now my burner is burning like a champ like how he used to be. I straightened a U-clip and used as i read that the tooth pick can break . I have my burner back after 4 months. It took me less than 2 minutes to get this done. I am so pleased.
You have saved me a ton of money. I was about to contact a plumber to come and fix and we know how expensive they are. Bingo. I cleaned that little hole that I didn't even know was there and voila! all working. Thank you!
I'm the wife who cleaned the stove and gunked up the burner. I also found this TH-cam video and my husband fixed it! Thanks!!
Since you fond the video you husband should now clean the stove :-)
Spoken like a true wife guilty for cleaning something. Lol 😆
You are amazing! I worked with a handyman for hours and the appliance store told me we needed a spark igniter module. but the handy man said electric was working. we could not figure it out for the life of us and after watching your video , my stove was fixed within minutes. I used this vid once when i cleaned my moms stove and it stopped working, your a life saver man!
Hello dear sir, THANK YOU for the video. My wife was breaking my chops wanting to spend another $1,500.00 plus on buying a new gas range. Thank You Thank You Thank You! I cleaned my stove three weeks ago and I've had trouble getting it to light ever since!
It's so nice to have a man around the house. I followed your instructions and it worked! Thank you, thank you, thank you.
I do appreciate this.
I cleaned our stove for my wife and it stopped working. I was worried.
You saved me.
Update:
My wife cleaned the stove last night and I acted as if I knew what I was doing, cleaned it and it worked (again) and I earned some brownie points
I, The MRS., watched this and fixed my own stove! (Yes the same problem with the same stove) .You were 100% right, I had just cleaned it. THANK YOU!
I was able to clean out the orifice without disassembling the burner. I used a pointed plastic stick and placed it just above the tip of the igniter and was able to clean it out. Seeing the anatomy of the burner in your video really helped. Thanks

+RL B that's a good feeling
Dude you’re the best!! I almost called a repair man to come fix my stove but you saved my life. Thumbs up!
Glad you didn't make that call.
Thanks so much! I don't have that brand, but you did such a good job explaining the parts that I knew what I was looking at and was able to bring my "not so robust anymore" burner back to acting brand new. Best of all, I didn't need to take anything apart - everything was in plain sight after the cap came off!
Thank you a millon times. Have not been able to use one of the stove for almost one year , and now it is fixed!!! So excited on a Sunday morning!!!!!!
You save me a bundle with your fix issue. That small pin hole cleaning did the trick. I owe you a meal. Thanks again my friend.
Same problem. Same stove. Same resolution.
Problem solved. I appreciate you brutha. Thanks and have a good day.
+lloydvegas no problem, glad I could help.

Spot on fix for the problem, saved us a $180+ service call. Thank you.
Thank you for the info. I was cleaning and only one burner wouldn't light, and you video saved me!
Thank you for sharing this! Three days before thanksgiving and half my burners didn’t work. Your tips worked like a charm!
I cleaned my stove last night! Hope this is the fix I need!! Thanksgiving around the corner 😮😊
I had the cap and base off, cleaned that area real good, but the burner still didn't ignite. After watching your video, I put a toothpick into the little hole (that I didn't know was there), moved it around a little, and then the burner ignited on the first try. Thank you so much!
Very helpful, I just took a needle and poked it through the clogged hole by the igniter and I didn't have to take the burner off! Thanks.
Fixed mine today! Thanks so much. Saed me at least $300 for sure. A handyman would have charged a minimum of $100 just for showing up!

It worked..I just scrubbed with a dry brush and toothpick. And yes it stopped working after I cleaned the burner. Thank you much
This is my first ever comment. Just to say thanks. It solved my problem. You are a life saver
Thank you 🙏 God bless you for taking the time to show us how to fix it ourselves.
Thanks- it fixed our problem, in a matter of minutes, and we have been living without the front left burner for months!!! Thanks so much!!!!
+Lynn Williams I can relate to how frustrating that can be.
Hey Champ. Thanks a ton for doing this video, I thought I would have to call someone in. Gas range is now operational. You made my day man!
Glad I could make your day.
you all prolly dont care but does anyone know a method to log back into an Instagram account..?

This video is a lifesaver and money saver. Easy fix
Thanks so much for this tip, I followed your instructions and my burner is functioning properly again, really appreciate it!
Thank you for taking the time to make this video. It was very useful and informative!
You are an amazing man. I never thought I could ever fix anything but you explained everything so well and clear. I did it myself you are fabulous 🙂
There is a little hole in 2;58 that needs to be cleaned with a small needle as well. It's on the round doodad that he is holding.
Thanks for sharing this tip. I fixed the issues before anyone else noticed.
As many have said, this saved a call to the repair man! particularly the last tip for my situation.
Thank you. This worked for me. I had at first tried to clear this, as the manual instructed , without removing the flame diffuser. Taking it off to wash, dry and put back solved it.

I saw that small hole but it was covered and I didn’t think it was a hole. Excellent video and simple repair.👍👏

Worked like a charm! even though I saw no schmutz that would have clogged up the works, cleaning and reassembling fixed the problem! Thank you!
Great video work perfectly, that's all. It was the stopped up little gas flow to the nighter. Thank you very much.
I had a pot of grease spill over & my burner immediately stopped working. Hope this fixes my problem thanks for posting this!
Thanks for your video! Didn't even have to take the screws out of mine , toothpick and a flashlight, 10 seconds later good as new!
Thank you so much! I've been staring at that one burner for weeks!! Geesh!
Thank you for the great video. The screw socket size is 3/16 in my case.
This video is so helpful. I needed to clean the little hole in the regulator. You saved me a headache. Thank you!
It worked great! Mine was a little different in how the gas got to the igniter, but it was dirty. Cleaning it made it work again. Thanks.
This method works. Trust me. I just fixed mine. Thanks for this video.
thanks for the video! particularly for pointing out the ignition hole at 3:34. fixed my Kenmore stove right quick!
+Ben Wing Its always a good feeling.
Thank you! This was my problem and your video showed me exactly how to fix it. It works perfectly now.
