Anduin Holds the Line (World of Warcraft: Shadowlands)

  • I was the cinematic designer assigned to work on this cutscene for WoW: Shadowlands. This was our first foray into committing custom models and animations as game assets for use in realtime cutscenes. Initially provided a script and a creative direction from the narrative team, I concepted out the piece using storyboards created with in-game assets, iterated on block-in camera motion using wow's cinematic tools, then handed off to our team of animators to create final animations for Anduin and The Jailer. After their work was completed, I brought their animations back into the engine, placed every asset, polished the cameras, then added background actors, lighting, and effects.
