  • If you have ever thought of attempting a motorcycle full restoration, or even making your motorcycle look at lot better, this video from Ken’s Cycle Repair in Reading, Pa. is a must watch as we get secrets and inside information on how he’s restored hundreds of two strokes, superbikes, Harleys, old Soviets and more. This motorcycle restoration full episode includes of tour of Ken’s collection and a look into his shop where he shows how he restores motorcycle engines with his vapor blaster, how he gets the hardware zinc coated, instead of spending a fortune on new OEM bolts, how he locates the hard to find old parts and how much time it really takes to do a period correct restoration. We see his restored Kawasaki KZ 1000, Honda CB, Suzuki GS, vintage Trailmaster and other mini bikes, dirt bikes and a whole lot more. He even shows us his massive motorcycle parts collection and at the end of the video we met you know how you can purchase them or get a hold of Ken for a full restoration. He also shows us his Hot Rods in the back, his favorite motorcycle and tells us about how he would ride to California and back. Enjoy a look at some amazing restorations and a very impressive motorcycle shop. Enjoy!

I've been going to Ken's for years. He's a very nice person. When I was a kid, I bought bikes off of his dad, Ray, in the early 60's.

Thanks for sharing this video, I love these 70s motorcycle especially the Kawasaki's. I have owned a 70 750 H2, 73, 74 & 75 Z1 900, 1 76 KZ 900, 77 & 78 1000 KZ's, 1 78 ZIR 1000, and presently own a 75 Z1 that's been sitting in my garage since 1982 with 7,000 miles on it, the last time I road it was 1992. My wife keeps telling me to get rid of it but I tell her it's my expensive piece of art. I ride Harley's now. had to go back to my roots my first bike was a AMF 350 Harley I bought in 1973 at the age of 13 and been riding them every since. I have to tell the story that a class mate had a Kawasaki 350 and he raced me on the Harley, it was very humbling in front of the entire school after it looked like I was standing still. WOW was that Kawasaki fast!!!

That was so awesome to see all those beautiful bikes, when I saw that 500 H1 that brings back some great memories of the 72 blue H1 500 triple that I had, It was so much fun to ride and being able to put down larger displacement bike's with it back then was so much fun to, man that bike was so fast and beautiful , at least I still have a couple of vintage bikes I kept over the years , there's nothing like the vintage bike's they are a true work of art, it's great to know that there are someone like this man that can put vintage bikes back to profection , not many like him anymore, Thanks for the video Cycle Drag ❤️

Hello, there are many to choose from as far as restorations go I would probably go with a single or twin cylinder to keep it easier for me to handle and to find parts for 2 or 4 stroke models would be fine.
I’ve owned a 77 KZ1000 A1 I bought in 79. I still have it but some parts that I could use are not available. I currently ride an 02 Concours. I worked in bike shops in the 70s in the Midwest and loved it and
rode a variety of Japanese and Brittish models. Although it was seasonal work and long hours and had to find other work for the winter months it was a lot of fun. Ken has the experience, tools, supplies and contacts I would consider people like him for a restoration, I want to ride now not work.
