Hey Chris ! Since your filters sound so good, have you ever thought of creating a Dynamic Filter Noise Reduction plug in ? That was what i was expecting with Dubly , but then I tried it and did not do what I expected. Dolby had the Cat 43 , which used the Dolby A circuits to reduce dialogue noise , basicallly it was using its VCAs as expander , closing and opening the internal spectral filters , the Burwen Dynamic Filter uses the same principle , but simplified . It has a fixed 800hz 6db lo -pass , then as it detects hi frequency information, opens and closes the hi frequency information , effectively removing hiss , and giving the signal a pleasant color. Of course Burwen´s method is single ended , while Dolby A was not , and that's Dolby Cat 43s magic , it uses Dolby A's filters and VCAs as a single ended noise reduction. I'll leave a link to a paper on Dynamic Filters on my comment . Thank you !
I have both macOS and WIndows 11. I also run Bitwig (currently trying 5.3 beta 3) and I seem to be experiencing some bugs with the CLAP version of ConsoleX on both operating systems. On Windows the CLAP version of the plugin doesn't seem to get installed at all. It doesn't show up in the Program Files\Common Files\CLAP folder like it should. On Mac the CLAP version does get installed, but trying to alter any parameters directly on the GUI doesn't work, as they get automatically reset to default upon release. The parameters only remain changed if I alter them via the Device Panel on Bitwig's device chain. VST3 versions work fine for me so far on both operating systems, however.
Hey Chris, don‘t know how or where to suggest new ideas, but I‘ll try here. What about a convolution device that can convolve two *live* signals by windowing instead of one being an IR sample. I use convolution often for sound design by using melodic samples as impulse responses. Afaik there‘s nothing like this out there…
I don't have sidechain working in my stuff but I could do a 'L convolved by R' plugin? I don't have that. And yeah, it would be for two live signals, and it'd sound pretty gnarly. Good enough reason to do it :)
i would like to run the youtube using the plugins that are locked at my daw. i once tried a compressor add-on as browser, but it was spy for no reason. postprocessing is time consuming. what i can do for now is using a korg kaoss pad 3 as a compressor using the effects loop of the mixer yamaha mw12 (or in the effects loop of my 1978 lenco a600 amplifier. but i do love the sidechian c6 compressor from waves. a couple of them and any song is enhanced, improved. i wish i could do that live, routing the audio of internet to the daw, somehow, maybe using 2 computers. the point is why the incompatibilities? why cannot i run waves on my sony vegas pro video editing? why cannot my computer have a simply eq as default for everything it runs?
I can do that on Mac using Audio Hijack, that can load Audio Units including mine. I would be setting system output to SWB Audio Capture, using that as a source in Audio Hijack, running the plugins, and routing it to REIYIN which is a digital output that sends optical to my converter. I don't, but if I wanted to I'd do it that way :)
I've had absolutely no issues with ConsoleX 0.0.6 on Windows 10 x64. No crashes, settings are being recalled, all great. I didn't even have to use AirwindowsGlobals, because, apparently, the font Jost is working correctly on the GUI (it's weird, because I don't even have Jost installed in my system). BTW, which folder am I supposed to place AirwindowsGlobals at? Should it be in the same folder as the plugins? In any case, thanks for giving us the final piece of the ConsoleX puzzle! I was wondering what was going on with that high/lowpass. :D
It's going to ask for Jost if you have the original Documents/Airwindows/AirwindowsGlobals.txt (that's where it goes). I'm happy it's working on your Windows 10: it's supposed to! :)
I 'll recommend an expander , won't remove the noise, but it will mask it and the results can be amazing. Nova Gentlemen Edition by MDR is pretty good at it
Happy Newyear Chris!
Thanks for all the hard work.

Seems youtube have deleted my links , let me know if you want me to email them to you thank you!

Obviously using the sidechain.

@@airwindows Thank you very much for your response - would sidechaining be too hard to implement? Would be very interested in that device regardless!
@@airwindows Maybe only the delta / side channel should be convolved to avoid extreme amplifications.

Hello, what DAW do you use, because in CUBASE the program crashes and I'm worried that even Chris's suggestion doesn't help.
@@arekdec3232I use Reaper. Haven't tested it in Cubase yet (I have Nuendo, though)
@@arekdec3232 I use Reaper. I will test it in Cubase and let you know if it works for me.
mr tesla but in music !!
Hopefully one day you'll make a noise remover vst. Refrigerator hum and computer hum keep vandalizing my audio takes😥
No, need soothe analog
Did you try Airwindows DeHiss?
