      Maddy, in the video you keep saying Heathbrook Hills is SW Marion County. and where the equestrian areas are in NW, yes they are Ocala, but the SW Region of marion County is Marion Oaks, West is Dunnellon, NW is Reddick. Please don't take this the wrong way. Im just pointing it out. :)

    My son and his wife moved out there last September from NYC and they absolutely love it. My mom is moving there from Tampa and I plan to be there this coming summer from NYC. Thank you for sharing 😊

    I absolutely love this video! Heathbrook is still my favorite area In ocala from all of my visits out there! I like being near the heathbrook shopping area..(being from NY I like the convenice. I would definetly like to reach out as hubby and I will be staying in ocala the weekend of the 23rd (week after next) Have a blessed day. I just realized you are a former New Yorker! That's so encouraging!!! Ive been a bit hesitant to make the move but hubby is full steam ahead to ocala country! 😂😂😂

      Ocala has been my “new home”for the past 17 years! I, too, was very hesitant about living in a small town compared to the city. I have found much happiness in enjoying the outdoors with my family and being close enough to both coasts to enjoy the beaches or theme parks in Orlando. Just give me a call if you have any questions!

      I will surely reach out. We have also been considering a build. I think in this crazy market properties may be a bit challenging to find. I find myself continuing to look at the Southwest side..not to fsr from the heathbrook area. I'm both excited and nervous. I will email. 😊

      There are some excellent options with new construction at this time. I look forward to sharing that information with you.

    Did you move there from New York? I'm in NY and planning to relocate. We have a piece of land in Ocala but the area is not built up as yet. Investors have been contacting us to buy, but I'm still holding on. Ocala is a HUGE change from NY. My husband is totally ready, but not me. I'm afraid to leave NY. LOL I'll continue to watch your videos. I'm a new Subscriber

      Hello, Andrea! Thank you for subscribing!
      Yes! I did move down from NY. It definitely is a big change, but you do acclimate over time. We are perfectly situated an hour and a half from Tampa and Orlando. Whenever I need my city fix, I could make a day out of it. My contact info is in the description if you have any questions:)

    I am in the process of selling in Boston MA and hoping to buy pretty much cash in Ocala. I am wondering about employment. Do you have a video about that?

    Hello!! My hubby n I are looking at Ocala. We are in Ohio. My question is if we dont want very rural what areas are recommend too check out?? Ty. Oh n my hubby is from NYC too lol

    • @Maddytherealtor
      @Maddytherealtor  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello! The most rural areas are going to be found in NW Ocala and some parts of SW Ocala. The closer you get to the city center, the more densely populated you will find the area. There are a lot of planned communities that are close enough to town and not out in the rural areas of Marion County.

    Watching to chose between Ruskin and Ocala lol

    • @Maddytherealtor
      @Maddytherealtor  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I've been to Ruskin several times, actually selling in the Apollo Beach area. It is a growing area with affordable homes as well. A few differences is the sales tax rate of 6% and the 2.5% Hillsborough County sales tax in Ruskin, vs. Marion County 1% sales tax and 6% Florida sales tax. Also, do you prefer living by the coast or more inland? This is an important question when you think about our storm season and insurance. Let me know if I could be of any more help:)

      @@Maddytherealtor I like being close to beaches but also don’t want to get blown away lol. It is ideal to be in a location with plenty of things to do as I’m coming from an area that his little to nothing to do.
