  • Dumb video.
Hello there! After uploading the video, I think I didn't really make the my intentions clear, This video is not to talk bad or downplay roux, this video is to highlight on what makes CFOP GOOD and that other methods not do so well at a particular point. (I only used Roux because its the second most popular method and its what people are most familiar with other than CFOP!).
Mb for at some points it seems like I'm saying roux is bad, but no it was completely not the intent. If you look at my channel a bit more, I USE Roux and have made a video trying to help some ppl just starting out trying to switch to it thru my personal experience. It's totally fair if anyone disagrees with my points in the video or thinks its a bad video.
With all that said the most important thing, is def don't take the vids too seriously, its really just my opinion thru my experience sharing my thoughts, using a joking tone and other stuff to maybe at least make a few people laugh :0
On an extra note to clear up some things:
    - 0:32 Some ppl think its me being bad that I claim "CFOP with more algs allow you to have higher than roux" but I think its widely agreed upon that cfop does have higher tps than roux, but its not like roux needs the tps lol. Its significantly more effective (move count wise) than CFOP.
    - 1:15 I said block building is hard, yes its my skill issue, but thats what I experienced from using roux in OH in comp, I find it harder than CFOP which have 4 very obvious pieces and a set location to go, While in roux you have so many options and comp nerves makes it really hard to find a effective and good FB for me.
    - At 1:38 I said 6 pieces is needed to make FB because
    a) some of the time you'll actually be moving the centers (with things like S moves or E moves.) With CFOP yes there are Uw moves that move the cross, but its all in a order you would already know, and it is a lot less confusing since its has less freedom than roux does (like you mostly would either be aligning center to cross OR cross to center)
    b) if you went the other video I was talking about (being • How to Switch From CFO... ) I tried to point out (in the inspection part of the video) that lookahead into first pair while doing cross on CFOP is a lot easier to do than lookahead on a square into a full FB. So to at least get the same times on roux you should at minimum be able to fully inspect FB imo.
-I never said that Roux doesn't have resources, I was simply stating "CFOP has a lot of resources", I wasn't trying to make a comparison
    - CFOP is just better for big cubes (that was simply my statement), thats why I didn't even mention roux in that part of the video.
    - The title was title was clickbate, and a bit misleading and kinda rubbing some ppl the wrong way, so that has been changed.
I really appreciate suggestions and discussions but I don't think coming in from a point just calling the video terrible is constructive criticism and doesn't really help me understand why/how the vid is trash.
anyways have a great rest of yo day!

Roux inspection is just as simple though? It's just on the left instead of the bottom mate. top solvers usually inspect at least FBDR or cross+1 which are the same amount of pieces and around the same amount of moves....
A decent chunk of your arguments basically boil down to "but x thing in roux is hard but this hard thing in cfop is fine because you should just gitgud" that can very literally be applied to the apparent downsides you're trying to point out in roux.
You're making your own arguments invalid within the very next sentences.
There are also a fairly large amount of resources for Roux, the argument that CFOP has abundant resources then showing F2L stuff and then algsets that cfop solvers don't even use also doesn't help your case. There is more to improving your solves than simply learning more algs. Where a top roux solvers usually caps out at about 100 algs for 3x3, there is still tons of improvement to be had through EOLR, better block building, more influencing, and some niche algsets like Ollcp.
"BD is a blindspot for roux so cfop better." CFOP has "blindspots" on BR and BL. But guess what? Deduction and smart solving does in fact exist. Good roux solvers don't even pause due to BD blindness because you van very literally intuitively know what piece is there.
If you wanna make the argument that it's better for big cubes(even though it's not relevant at all to the 3x3 discussion but anywayyy) then sure, go ahead. But then don't follow up with your subjective claims on what you perceive to be downfalls of roux.
This is very definitely a concept that is worth making a video over. I'm sure many would love to see an unbiased, well researched comparison going over pros and cons of the methods. But this video is not that.

1.Roux is just as algoritgmic as cfop at a high level
    2.I agree+hoya is great
3.Roux is HARDER however fast people can find blocks just as well as cfop xcrosses
    4.Kian, Fahmi, Anto
5.I agree for blocks but just plan them smh. And lse just deduce bd edge
