  • Took a trip out to the edge of Chiba, about 35 minutes from central Tokyo. This fireworks festival was a more chill environment, will locals sprawled out along the wide river beds. The area directly in front of the fireworks was for paid seats only, but the sides were more crowded. All in all, was a very relaxing and enjoyable fireworks show in the local town of Matsudo, Chiba.

At this time of year, especially when driving on the highway on weekend nights, there are fireworks displays in many areas on both sides, so it's easy to get distracted while driving.

@@socks_cat356 wow; that must be quite interesting to see though (as long as one keeps the eyes on the road also!). There’s nothing like that in Portugal. Would love to see it!

Love how japan is still keeping up the fireworks displays, here in europe its all going woke with how its bad for pets/wildlife/environment and so on.

Gotta say. I have never seen a Japanese person going as crazy and irresponsible with their fireworks as people are here in Europe. New years day in Berlin is a pain in the a… tbh. People are nuts, blowing their hands off, hurting other people, damaging property and so on … Guided and professional fireworks like this one are an absolute delight though.

Did… did you just… unironically use the term “woke”? Please don’t use a word when you don’t know what it means.
