I freaking love the peaceful, clean emptiness of those streets. Lots of lights illuminating the wet road and reflecting in windows beautifully, and the fact that this video is so sharp and crisp, plus the soothing sound of the rain...! It's all so perfect.
Walked for 5 hours in Kyoto before just exploring. In the noon time, was not raining. But was still very picturesque and enthralling. The perfect blend of temples and metropolis is the vibe of Kyoto.
I want to take a moment to honor what this video achieves, what it truly is. This is somebody at ease with themselves. This is what inner peace looks like POV.
At first thank you for this video. Night in Kyoto is so beautiful. Sound of rain , your steps & the cars passing by will attract everybody. Thank you again for your nice video.
It is so inexplicably peaceful to walk down deserted streets & corridors as the rain taps the surroundings. The soft glow from the streetlamps, the reflection of light dancing across the wet blocks, & the haunting emptiness of the streets is chilling to the eye & soul & the perfect moments of solitude & tranquility. I was stationed in Japan in the U.S.M.C. from 84-85. Loved it. I have developed mobility issues & videos such as this not only entertain me but take me to places, I can scarce visit today. *sigh of relaxation* As a Londoner, it rains 60% of the year, including summers. And, as a Londoner, I Do love to take peaceful night time walks between 1-4am, so this was the Perfect ghost town walk for me. I've been fascinated with Japan since I was kid watching anime movies on bbc2 in the 90s. Kyoto is my number 1 destination in Japan and then, the famous trek up Mount Fuji to watch the sunrise and set... Yes, I got time. What else do we have but time? 😅 Osaka, Kyoto, Hiroshima, Tokyo, the countryside's
One thing that I have always liked to do when I visit a city is to get lost in its narrowest and oldest streets.... these kinds of walks are always relaxing This walk has reminded me of the times I have visited Kyoto... Thanks for the good memories
Every time I look at Japan, especially on city roads and forests, I always remember the era when the samurai, shogun, ninja, shinobi, etc. lived here, especially in an atmosphere like this.
@@johnyseimah229 heh. mudless, then. down here you cant walk 10mins on a pathway without having to wade through a patch of mud. but look at this place! system they've got for water flow must be something else...

I would recommend you start with Kyoto, because it is a beautiful city you can explore in a few days (and then dedicate two more to see the neighboring Osaka and Nara areas). Afterwards, you can move to Tokyo. A megacity so big you can easily spend weeks just walking around, discovering interesting things behind each corner.
I would recommend both city's both are amazing in there own way, Tokyo is fast moving city and I think the best place to stay in Tokyo is around the ASAKUSA area this place is so Beautiful plenty of lovely walks & lovely eateries. Kyoto is so different and so many amazing walks and a much less pace in getting around but the city can be very busy with people side walks can be full and also in the enclosed shopping area's so I would advise on lots of research B4 you go I did two years so my holidays ran smoothly good luck
I’ve watched this 4 times over the past week and I’m still speechless. The lighting is just so incredibly pretty, and the colors are gorgeous and it’s so clean and crisp I feel like my eyes are lying to me lol I would love to go one day but since I’m unable to this has been the best thing. The sound as well just has been wonderful ☺ I loved this

the FLOOR , did someone notice that there is not a single puddle of water ? perfectly flat and well construct with beautiful materials , impressive and beautiful architecture , feels like a Kabukis painting almost , surely Japan is a sight to behold !
I've watched too many Japanese period movies, expecting a trained katana-wielder to jump out in the middle of this peaceful street and challenge me to a duel haha. Beautiful scenery, thank you for this!
Napping in a hammock, listening to this music, and gently fanning yourself sounds like a perfect way to deal with the midday heat. It's no wonder you're feeling sleepy!

I find it so interesting that there are hardly any other people out walking at night it may be an uncommon thing in that area or just more smaller city areas in Japan but anytime I’ve went on a night walk even in the small town I live in in America I always see people walking down the street at least every 5 minutes or so. It seems so peaceful.
For some reason a lot of Japanese think they live in Detroit or some shit because they think it's dangerous to walk outside at night lmao (Also it is raining).
This is fantastic - I visited Japan for the first time in November and walked down some of these same streets, but seeing them at night and in the rain makes it look like almost a different city altogether.

Quite possibly the most beautiful city in the world.
What a magically beautiful place. That lighting in the rain is fantastic.

The same! Games like rainy streets nowadays to showcase RTX capabilities in the puddles. Also the consistent slow walk pace is deceiving.

Man those orange lights really make it feel so warm and comfortable. More cities world-wide should utilize them.
Sadly most cities are getting rid of them as fast as they can because plain white LEDs are cheaper and use less energy
