I'm confusing on how the Playstation catches signal, there isn't anything connected to the playstation except the power plug, does this require 2 hdmi cords?
@@iRON90111 It dont its built in it does it no matter what, you obviously havent got one it has no affect on lag or anything. It can record back 1 hour no matter what you do. But its only 1088p or 1080 not actually 4K but it records all voices and does not cause lag.
@@AnkleMuncher makes sense it is a powerful hardware, but there are still some downsides compared to recording on a capture card, such as, needing plenty of storage ur ps5, as u said, only 1 hour of recording time, transfering to external drive takes a long time, and there are better editing softwares than sharefactory, its better to use a capture card to make sure there are no fps drops or performance drops, or any load and to not have these downsides

I have a capture card and adapter all set up but it isn’t working. I have it all hooked up and my phone connected to my laptop so that I could record my mobile gameplay through OBS, but when I try to add the capture card as the source it only shows black screen and not my phones screen.
I personally never tried recording from a phone but. Make sure your using the right slot and i think you have to enable some kind of developer option on your phone for it to work properly

I have been trying to get the microphone port to work I'm using same exact cap card and from PS5 to my HP laptop I can deal with delay but it's not using the microphone I have plugged into the card and it's a sound car condenser mic so what do I do

I bought this card and my Xbox works just fine but when I plug in the Nintendo switch it doesn’t even display anything on either of my monitors. Everything is connected right like I said my Xbox has no issues , but it’s like the switch isn’t even passing through at all

For some reason the signal just isn’t passing through the capture card , if I connect it to the tv or monitor it works . It’s just annoying . I connect the Xbox with the hdmi that was plugged in to the switch and I get signal almost instantly but when I plug it back in to the switch , nothing . Oh well , guess I’ll have to buy a different card specifically one that works with the switch as well

@@iammrdoge well apparently there was something wrong with the capture card internally because basically the output worked but the input didn’t, so I couldn’t see my screen in obs and I had to get a new card.
@@iammrdoge yes it works perfectly fine, my old one was sort of hanging and my cat always rubs her head on it so it was doing that thing where it only worked if you held it at an angle sort of like an old charger
The capture card bridge input from one device to the next. So if your planning on have a gaming pc and onother one dedicated to streaming/recording you will follow the steps. It can be a loptop to laptop scenario. Desktop to laptop, desktop to desktop. Nintendo switch to desktop. Ps4 to desktop etc

The soul purpose of the capture card is to link two devices together, streaming from your Xbox will require you to have a PC in order to stream. The capture card isn't just the only device to record despites it's name. You have to use a separate device to passthrough the capture card. So laptop or desktop with OBS on it
Try changing the capture card as the man output in system sound and put your headphone in the card. If that dont work then you will have to miror the audio chexk my latest video

Hello. I've been having some trouble getting my capture card to work. I plugged it in just like you said to, but when I hit "start recording" on OBS, it gives me the error message "Failed to open NVENC codec: Function not implemented. Try installing the latest NVIDIA driver." Do you know which driver I'm supposed to get for my capture card? I'm using the same one featured in the video, along with OBS 29.1.3.

I plugged the USB 3.0 into those ports, my Switch into the Input, my TV into the Output, and…nothing comes on on the TV. I also tried switching the HDMI cables around on both ends, but to no success. Yes. 1 from the computer to the card, the other from the card to the PS5

If you connect it properly it should have both lights for the input and output. Monitor is output and the PC/console is the input

As memory serves it does not have any restrictions. Make sure you have the right hdmi connected input/output. Also make sure obs is ran as admin!

You have to make sure the capture card is set to 60 in display settings as well as obs. You can also change the resolution there

You need 2 HDMI. One from the monitor to the output slot. One from the PS4 to the input slot

I plugged it in just like you said to, but when I hit "start recording" on OBS, it gives me the error message "Failed to open NVENC codec: Function not implemented. Try installing the latest NVIDIA driver." Do you know which driver I'm supposed to get for my capture card? I'm using the same one featured in the video, along with OBS 29.1.3.
What's the specs of your PC and what GPU are you using in particular
@@iammrdoge My computer is an Acer Nitro 5, which has a Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti GPU, according to a quick search.

@@iammrdoge Okay, thank you! Though, now I’m having a new problem. When I woke up and tried doing all this again after I unplugged everything last night, nothing happened. I plugged the USB 3.0 into those ports, my Switch into the Input, my TV into the Output, and…nothing comes on on the TV. I also tried switching the HDMI cables around on both ends, but to no success. It also stops appearing as a device in OBS. Nothing appears broken, but I just can’t get it to do anything now. Do you have any idea of what I can do to fix it?
Can you connect it to a blu ray player and the tv?
