I recently read we now have the highest number of new startups due to people rethinking their work life during the pandemic. The highest percentage of those entrepreneurs are black women. Kudos ladies!
Sis know her stuff! I was pretty much self taught too when my husband and I started our authority in 2019. I'm doing all that AND drive also. It is taxing keeping up with all the back office stuff and finding loads and dispatching for us and also have to drive. Man!!!

Let me start by saying Kudos to you ladies. You have beautiful spirits with humbling personalities. I have been a professional CDL driver with all endorsements since 1996. Twelve of those years being an owner operator. I can tell that you took the time to educate yourselves about the industry because you have tons of knowledge. I have much respect for you both. I appreciate that you took the time to share your wisdom with drivers and or those who desire to start a trucking business especially for the newbies. I ALWAYS suggest that one educate and learn the industry first before purchasing a truck or starting the business. I drove (4) years learning how to apply the skills of handling a commercial vehicle in a safe manner along with learning the DOT rules and regulations. I was required to understand the industry from the dispatchers, safety, logging, suppliers, different forms of freight, the weight, window times and the do's and don'ts PERIOD. Not mention, I had to develop tuff skin being in male dominated field at that time. It takes patience and willingness to learn and understand how to be a safe professional driver before advancing to the next level as an owner. Another chapter began for me with educating myself from the business perspective. Understanding the legal structure of the business, paying myself as the driver, taxes and maintain the account. Along the way, I did have some mishaps, but I learned and grew from them. You ladies are awesome with a vision on a mission. I wish you much sucess in all of your endeavors. Full transparency, we have two older siblings that aren’t apart of our business. Our brother is in the trucking industry and decided to start his own company without our assistance. We were smart enough and blessed to have a relationship that works perfectly together. Our strengths and weaknesses compliment us. However the reality is everyone doesn’t have that luxury. Do it no matter who isn’t willing to do it with you. What’s meant for you will happen. Sometimes you find business partners who become your family.
