The great thing about this 90 year old is his superb, alert restraint as a sensitive accompanist. He never invades a stream of lyricism.

@@curtisgreen149 Pretty well ! Go for it ! So much fun and pleasure. After 1 year I play solo in a small church on Sunday. But be prepared for hard work, it’s demanding. Physically of course, but most importantly you have to work with maximum discipline - which I did not on the first months, I wanted to go straight to Bach suites. And I managed to play some, but I soon reached a plateau and intonation and sound quality were very poor and not increasing anymore Now I’m pretty much starting all over again with my teacher to build solid foundations and not just random technique. But the sound of this instrument is everything : gentle, powerful, dramatic, soulful… you can have it all - but be patient, does not come overnight for sure !
