Wow..I love Khanom Krok, Cotton candy, and Thai Fried Sweet Potato Balls (Call khai nok knata in Thai) As you can see, there are two colors. One of the best things about this is when the price is for example 30 baht. You actually pay 30 baht. I watched a video recently by a foreigner who listed 10 things she didn't like about visiting the U.S. and one was that you never pay the advertised price. It's always more !

But it's quite rare because you have to cut off a whole tree to get some flour. After Thai people know tapioca, they use it to create artificial Sa-koo and adapt it as many kinds of dessert and snack. Everything has the word 'Sa-koo' in its name. Like 'Sa-koo Sai Moo' (Tapioca ball with pork filling) or the one you have, 'Sa-koo Peaak Khao Pod' or 'Sa-koo Peaak Lamyai' (Longan). The word 'Sai' means 'intestine' or 'stuff', and 'Moo' means 'pig' or 'pork'. The word 'Peaak' means 'wet' or 'soak' and 'Khao Pod' means 'corn'. If you find the word Khao in Thai, you can assume that it relate with rice, grain or something made from flour.
