Does anybody know if there's any more video of recording and playing this music live for the soundtrack in the studio? Seeing all of these instruments move and together making these tracks is magnificent. I'd like to see more.
You probably dont give a damn but does anybody know of a way to log back into an Instagram account? I was dumb lost my account password. I love any help you can give me.
@Will Duncan thanks for your reply. I got to the site through google and I'm waiting for the hacking stuff atm. I see it takes quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Wow. I love James Horner! His works are simply amazing. Also Klaus Badelt, Alan Silvestri and Howard Shore are FANTASTIC as well. You are very very lucky! I went to a Michael Giacchino concert and that was probably one of the best moments of my life. I felt so humbled to be in the same room as Mr. Giacchino. It would be a dream to meet any of these film composers. I am film score enthusiast. I just love love film music. I hope you take a video of the concert and post it on your channel! :)
Bond music is like star wars franchise ... take it out ... it is nothing but an emty tank... John williams give live to a beautiful story. Bond music makes the movie restore and gave a chance to come back the popularity of the bond films. Just gave a lifeline for 5 more movies depend on how well they will make. We will see if the legicy exist.
Every time I hear Thomas Newman score a movie (Ex.:American Beauty, Finding Nemo, Wall-E, Shawshank Redemption), I always say he could be the perfect choice to score "Indiana Jones 5" (And I'm damn right)
Whilst I like Newman's more delicate scores, I can say with total conviction that he was no where even near what John Barry did for Bond. I miss his scores so much, & I haven't found a composer who has transformed the orchestra in to an iconic sound as much as Barry has. Instantly you know it's John Barry.
I think eventually we must move on. Some of Barry's scores were marvelous and they still are, but they won't in any way hold up today for a James Bond movie. The first thing a Bond movie must be is contemporary, it's a promise you owe to your audience, never to fall back on nostalgia, never redo what was done. And Barry respected that as well. Back in the time, his scores was just like that, they evolved along with the audience, at least most of the time. Arnold captured that spirit very well (too well perhaps, his brilliant Die Another Day is still considered avant-garde by most ears), and Newman did a terrific job on Skyfall as well. Can't wait to experience Zimmer's take on NTTD!
Mr. Watkins' playing on the Bond scores is iconic and he was an integral part of the SOUND of the series. He will be missed.
Skyfall and spectre were MASTER PIECE by Thomas.
Best James Bond movie and soundtrack. Well done.
R.I.P. Derek Watkins. Thank you for all.
RIP Derek. One of the greats.
Derek bless him. What an Icon for all Trumpet Players
Recording a Bond movie soundtrack in Abbey Road studios. Can there be anything closer to heaven?
No there isnt.
Rest In Peace, Derek Watkins.
Ha! Playing in Dr. No at age freaking 17 -- Derek Watkins is ridiculous ... RIP
Brilliant soundtrack.
Really? Wow that is so great! You are so lucky. David Newman is a great composer as well. The whole Newman family are filled with musical geniuses!
One of my favorite parts of the film was the soundtrack

For Some Reason my favorite line of this movie is "TAKE THE BLOODY SHOT"
R.I.P. The world lost one of the best trumpet players.

He should do a mission impossible film. Tom Cruise conducting the score of his own film!
Awesome totally

The perfect man to score undy V is John Williams

Jason Brinker Hey thanks Mr. Brinker! Very cool of you!
I wish they would stop with these "cool" cuts as if it's a trailer. I didn't come here to see a film trailer, I came to find out about film music.
8 upset composers wanted to do it instead of Newman.
He goes on about the Bond Theme yet he hardly ever uses it in the movies he has scored, I miss the old movies and John Barry
You're quite right!
Eargasm 0:23
Oh! Tom Cruise also a composer🤣🤣🤣
Abbey Road!
Tommy Newman screwed up with SPECTRE man
I dont know why Thomas Newman reminds me of Tom Cruise haha
