Illume Connect interview with George Canfield, EDC Leather, teaching holster making and leatherwork

Savannah catches up with George Canfield at the Illume Studio to take a break from teaching classes and have a conversation about his passion for helping other leather workers pursue their passion.
We discussed George's journey in leatherwork, transitioning from making ren faire goods to gun leather and holster making. Today EDC leather is a production shop that does more than produce gun leather products, they have also become a resource for other makers to expand their own product lines by focusing on making them successful.
George also talks about some of the classes he is teaching that will be featured as online courses on the Illume platform for learning leather work with several more styles of holster designs. He spent the week in studio teaching the design and build of a shoulder holster, a three-piece holster and a few other classes focused on patterning for holster design.
