2023 Lonach Highlanders return march through Strathdon to Bellabeg in the Cairngorms Scotland

The Lonach Highlanders on their return march through Strathdon in the Cairngorms National Park, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. This was part of the 2023 Lonach Gathering and Highland Games on Saturday 26th August 2023, as the Highlanders, led by the Lonach Pipe Band, marched through Strathdon back to Bellabeg in the morning.
Drum Majors Neil Jamieson (L) and Bill Barclay (R) lead the Lonach Pipe band, followed by Sir James Forbes, Patron of the Lonach Highland and Friendly Society. The Highlanders, with their ceremonial Swords, Lochaber axes and eight-foot long pikes, are members of Clan Forbes, Clan Gordon and Clan Wallace. At the rear is Socks the Lonach horse, ready to carry any weary Highlanders and just ahead are representatives of the Kindred Games (Braemar, Ballater & Aboyne) who were invited to join the march on their 200th anniversary.
The Highlanders are members of The Lonach Highland and Friendly Society, formed in 1823 and made up of men from the Strathdon area of Aberdeenshire in Scotland.

Fond memories, particularly because I lived close to where the march was filmed. Just up the hill at Tornashean where the shooting lodge used to be.

Hello Braemar Media, “all that glitters is not gold”. The pipe band is perfect, great, but what comes next is a real mess. Two rows ok, but sometimes narrower, sometimes wider. Everyone is talking, laughing. And from my own time as a soldier, I know that in a marching order the tallest ones run in front, and then in gradations smaller and smaller to the rear, where the smallest ones run. Everyone is mixed up here. No no. If they're going to play soldier, then do it correctly, with discipline. Many greetings to the Pipi Band, they are always great.

100%, Be respectful, celebrate your Country's traditions. The WEF wants us all to hate our own countries so they can create a new "better" , global Country, no sovereign Nations, that new Country (by my beliefs) would be ruled by the Antichrist and be the end to us all.
