My reel has a built in hook. It’s off center and pointed at right angle to the spin direction. After seeing another video for a product that gives the same result I found my cord middle, hooked, and wound away. The right angle/off center hook caused the initial winds to be awkward. After one or two winds the only issue was the increasing weight. One thing that was not at all clear was what direction to wind the thing. There were no instructions. Anyway, I attest that this idea works. If I needed a hook, I’d get one. One idea I have is that on a concrete surface wheels or skids to protect the reel might be a good idea. One side with wheels for concrete, one without for lawn. Cheers. Great video.
