Romain wrote this with Ren adding the chorus. It was probably a personal life song for Romain.
Gorran wrote Swan Song in 2016, before the Big Push formed.
I thought Swan Song was a cover?

Thanks Mrs R - this one is at the top of my playlist atm... from what I understand Romain wrote/sang the verses and Ren wrote/sang the chorus. The footage is so bittersweet to me, watching the chemistry between these lads and considering TBP has disbanded. I also heard that when that last busk session was recently released, the guys were in the chat and there may have been mention of being open to the idea of a reunion gig at some point when they are all in the same place at the same time. Wouldn't that be great? 💜
I was in that chat and they did mention doing something at some point. I loved the interaction the guys were having with each other during that chat. They were all in there.

Their last stage concert at "Brighton Dome" was on 9th of September 2022 with a crowd of circa 1500 people. Unfortunately exists only unofficial footage of this concert with moderate audio.

Oh same here! I had the best group of friends when I was younger and again after I had my first two daughters... but when I moved to the US, I don't have and friendships that have "stuck". It's very lonely.

I'm thinking it may have been one of their last songs together as they have the gig in Brighton in it which I think they did before they split.. 🤔 I may be wrong.. But you can actually watch that whole thing if you want a festival day.. I watched it quite early on to knowing of Ren.. Haven't stopped since looking for stuff 😂😂😂 hidden treasures everywhere 👀👀❤️👍✌️

They released this song in 2019, three years before they disbanded. Their last show was in Sept 2022. This video was released in June 2020, more than two years earlier. Rather than their last concert, I think the footage is from when they went on tour in the UK.

I can't speak to the meaning of the lyrics but it's my understanding that this was written by Romain when he knew they were coming to the end of their time together. I agree with another commenter that wistful seems to be the feeling it evokes.

Any problems with health, I think, you definitely lose dignity what with Dr’s poking into every orifice and self esteem goes if, like Ren, you havent been able to use your ‘Power’ of making music because he was sick for a long time.
