Very impressive, solid aesthetic. My brother and I spent months brainstorming designs for our own vtuber models. I'll come back to this video for reference once I can continue work on my own model.
is it just me who has a REALLY bad time trying to choose just one or two aesthetics?
I really love how it's this cross between the advanced tech of a robot, the retro tech of a CRT TV, and the nature aesthetic of goblin/cottage core. Three aesthetics that feel like they should conflict actually came together in such a cute and endearing design!

This is so cuuuuuuuute!!! A more detailed thing would be epic >:3. Super curious how you go about tracking things to certain movements? That seems wild to me. Also I love the spooky one! Could be cool to have a glitched screen tho :3

OH MY GOD I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT- I make animal vtubers because it’s easier to me but oh my god I love the idea of a tv head vtuber- I still really want to make a human/humanoid one some day but they are so hard and I can’t draw proportions thaaaat good yet.. YOURS LOOKS SO AWESOME THOUGH!!!! ❤❤

Hell yeah more robot/object head characters. I've been hoping to convert my PNGtuber to Live2D for a while; I just go "ugh" when I think of all the layers I'd have to do in photoshop. I'm also likely to use the free trial; how long would you say it took you to do the rigging?
Maybe like 10 hours? I'd never used the software before, and it was over a couple of days. But something around there. Look up a lot of tutorials for it so you don't go insane! 👍

I was animating in gartic phone with my little brother and the gothic girl I drew was so perfect and cartoony I had to make her a model

I love this! Minor change you could choose to make would be if there was like a static screen between the face changes. Imagine if you could show videos or images on the screen to make it even more TV-like. idk

7:09 When this happens to me, I go on the art mesh that the tiny dots are attached to, and erase the mesh on them. Since the mesh is erased, it won't appear anymore and it won't even be a problem.
My two thoughts for when you brought up the idea of further electronic-head(?) Vtubers was
1. Microwave
2. House plant (which is distinctly not electronic in any way, but I think it could still be fun)
Anyway, if I were to ever be a vtuber, I'd probably go with one of those ideas. I hope you have fun with your new model!

When you have little pen marks you don’t want on the model you can edit mesh, then remove the mesh from the marks. When you go out of edit mesh mode the spots will no longer be visible! Anything that doesn’t have mesh on it doesn’t show up :)

LIVE2D introduced me to the concept of vtubing. I don't follow any of the weebtubers as I find find super cringey.
This style and character is absolutely cute. I don't mind people doing character voices but the vast majority are just using those baby doll girl voices and talking like they are babies which is so gross.
I still don't find most channels that focus primarily on being vtubers interesting as the content is in my sphere of interest.
