Late but, how do you find content these days latency-wise? Assuming you're playing from Australia? I took a break from the game in 2010 but hadn't had the chance to get back into it since then. I have a lifetime sub so willing to try it out again if the games doing well.
I don't notice an issue with latency at all, but I have little to compare it to. When I played WoW for a while on OCE servers, the main thing that stuck out to me was how smooth the game ran, not how much faster my latency was.
For this raid the consensus has been Brawler + Guard combo due to the utility needed, CDs available, and what roles the other classes were best suited to. Warden, Captain, and even Chank could probably tank the fight fine, but for an optimal comp you usually want as many different classes as possible, to not overlap buffs, so the best spots for those classes were in other roles. Brawler just doesn't die when boss tanking, their ability to live under that type of dmg is unparalleled, and Guardian offers some really powerful CDs that work very well against this fight in particular.
@@vuldyn_ Thank you for the quick, personalized reply. I'm just a yCapt player and dont know much about the other tanks. I'm having a hard time trying out other tanks, because I find the Capt utility (specially combat rezz) to be invaluable (and I like to do t5 3 mans). Could you elaborate a bit more what the blue brawler brings and how it does so well staying alive as compared to other tanks. I really want to be open to doing other tanks. Any comments on utility and such on all tanks is also welcome. Thank you again !
@@AxisSabian1 Yeah cappy tanks are in a really good spot right now, and you'd be totally fine playing the tank role in the raid. The reason we didn't bring one for prog is because red captain is so good right now, and we want to minimise doubling up on classes. That and Brawler and Guard do a slightly better job. Brawler brings some really nice offensive support with group-wide dmg buffs, and Gut Punch, an incoming damage debuff. That alone puts in ahead of captain in terms of group utility. It also has an OP raid-wide defensive buff, and LOTS of good ways to reduce incoming dmg without necessarily needing mits. That means it can live a long time despite having a tank debuff that removes mitigations. Guardian does similar, but less than brawler on both ends of the utility. A nice dmg buff, and nice defensive help, but not as much. Guardian is awesome at tanking adds (especially dangerous ones like the Druzog) since they have 10.5s taunt duration, and CDs that work well against many adds. The specific CDs that work really well in the end part of the fight are Juggernaut and Pledge. They allow you to pretty much guarantee you will BPE any attack, and all the dangerous attacks from the shard can be BPEd, which is not too common with bosses these days. That combined with Catch a Breath, Redirect, and Warrior's Heart make Guardian CDs pretty outstanding at living for a long time under those two bosses at once.
@@AxisSabian1 I would say brawler is actually one of the worst tanks for 3-mans, since you can run without a healer with captain, guard, warden etc. Brawler is a bit of a raid specialist, because the other tanks are a bit more self sufficient when it comes to smaller less punishing content.

@@vuldyn_ Cheers, maybe I'll give it a go again soon and see how Arkenstone is doing in my absence.
Love it
Thanks!

Have you found any certain tank classes do best at t5?

@@vuldyn_ Wow ! Thanks for the details !
In terms of t5 3 mans, would brawler be better choice or Capt (as tanks, of course).
