I have an neighbor that have an non verbal autistic child. The dentist he go to is a pediatric dentistry that specializes with special need kids. Well she took him in the office one day becaise he was complaining about an toothache. He been going to this dentistry for 4 years then they had a staff chsnge and the new dentist said it was nothing they can do for him and she said he aged out. In the policy and procedures it say the aged out age is 18. Well hes 14. Can his parents file a complaint? She isn't having any luck wlith an attorney.
Who does the consumer go to when there's a service dispute for charges? My dental insurance is refusing to pay for services that are covered under the plan. My plan says 50% coverage for out of network dentists but they are refusing to pay. Should I appeal first then contact the insurance commissioner?
