- Lunar New Year (or Chinese new year if you wanna get yelled at) is super important in Taiwan. It's often really boring for foreigners because everything is closed and locals are with family. Not this year though!

Pineapple is pronounced Won-Lie 旺來 in Taiwanese, which means "luck coming" literally. That's why pineapples are served to symbolise good fortune during the lunar new year.

The Taiwanese pronunciation of pineapple is “Won-Lai”, same pronunciation of the coming of great fortune…that’s why pineapple is one of the must-eat or the must-gift in the New Year.

過年的感覺，例如你自己在台灣生活這麼久，沒有回家跟家人相處，但是每年有一個月的時間你可以回家，與好久沒見面的家人，朋友們相處，吃飯以及作一些好玩的事情，過年就是這種感覺
台灣的傳統市場的確是人與車爭道，這點對行人來說真的很不友善，期望有一天我們能改善這點，謝謝你在影片中的說明了，祝新年快樂
是不是不知道市場的起源? 初期二邊是住屋 中間是馬路 樓下賣吃的喝的玩的 因為人潮湧入 之後一樓商家越來越多 甚至已經超出馬路 說實在 其實很多市場原本是馬路ㄟ 究竟是車跟人搶道?還是人佔用了馬路 阻礙了交通? 所以後期有規劃的政府 才會統一一個商圈 明令何時車子不能通行 比如樂華夜市 那邊本來是三路通 每天都有大量通勤車會經過 後來因為市場太發達 才會圈起來 規定成商圈

That brings back so many memories of the Chinese New Year 🧧 in Shenzhen with the In Laws. So much food, Red Pockets and Mahjong. No scratchies though. So miss that, it’s been 6 years since I have been back there. Maybe if plans happen will be back mid year.

When I hear that Taiwanese, I feel like I'm back at home with my folks. They spoke only Taiwanese around us. The only time they spoke Mandarin was when they didn't want us to understand. By the way, I *love* drunken chicken, at 8:34.
You may have not learned about the high inflation going on here in North America. Typical frozen pork costs $4 a pound and you need to go to farmer's market or gourmet stores to find fresh pork like that traditional market one and will cost you $10 a pound.

其實是被誤會了，
台灣不是道路設計對行人不友善，
是沒有因應未來的人口規模發展，
道路建築的當下時空一定是適用的有未來性的，
對應現在的人口規模和發展當然不適用了，
除非有整個都更或改造 才可能有改善的，
且大部分城市都是慢慢擴大的添加的 能設計啥，
又不是城市形成初期就規劃好的 當然簡單。
