I varied between the different washes I show in the video, so most cities for example are with Earthsade brown but some are with the other to make it look different on the board. I would say if you are just getting one color though that brown wash looks best to match mars surface and forest areas.
@@julianshirland7617 I would recommend you to try on one tile, I feel it is very personal when it comes to taste of looks. I think in general going with the actual objects, sand, forest etc. that eartshade makes most sense, for the buildings I could imagine using lighter colors if you think mine became too "dirty" or dark.
@@julianshirland7617 another idea is to, after the was, do a drybrush just for the building parts of the tiles with some grey or white to get a brighter front but still keep the wash in the windows.
Thx for your inspirations! I still struggle how to paint the tiles which look like Cities, but are special tiles. They are light grey instead of white plastic, but would be looking identically after applying the wash… Any idea??
Hey! Thanks :) What about if you drybrush them with white after the wash, kind of what I did with the ocean tiles, then they would be brighter than the cities? Btw what tiles do you refer to, I cant remember anything looking like a city that isnt one?

Which colors of wash do you recommend for each type of tile?

I already have Agrax Earthshade, Nuln Oil, Seraphim Sepia, and Reikland Fleshshade. I just wasn't sure which colors to use on which tiles.

Great video! Did you prime them first? Or did this work without priming?☺️
Thanks! No didnt need to, the idea was to do it quickly just to spice them up a bit :)
