So, you drove right by multiple filming locations for “close encounters of the third kind”. The gas station with the chickens statue, the railroad tracks right beside it was were the Richard dryfess truck got stuck and he had his encounter, the civic center (gold dome building) was used in multiple shots as the space ship, and brookley air field was the hangers used. Have a good trip
Every time I think Adam is through it all something else comes up. Love seeing you visit the road side attractions but this has been a truly remarkable cross country trip without most of those. 🚗

Native Mobilian here!🙋🏻♀️ Those are oyster shells, they're all over downtown Mobile and painted by local artists! Also I grew up holding my breath every time i'd go through that tunnel to the beach so that was very nostalgic for me when you mentioned it!

I lived in the Florida panhandle for close to four years. This brings back so many memories of weekend road trips to and from New Orleans, especially going through Mobile and past the Battleship Alabama. I miss those days...

The “Venomous Snake” rest area at Payne’s Prairie. My daughter was old enough to read but still small. We got into the bathroom and I noticed she was looking underneath all the doors into the stalls. I was like what is she doing? Then I got it. She was looking for snakes. 😂

In Florida, I believe they have removed the self pumping gas nozzles. (or it was changed in the past few years.. but I do know that 10 years ago, you couldn't do that handle flick thing in Florida.)

You have made us want to do that trip, we will fly to LA as we love it there then travel down as you have, maybe not this time of year😄 we love Orlando have been coming for 35 years, we have had to cancel 4 holidays to Orlando now, booked to come out May 5th but can't see that happening, we will get back one day, stay safe and congratulations for coping so well in the snow. @@TJDinMA honestly, I missed it so much yes we had to come back. My son was too little until now to ride splash mountain so he got to do that before they change it. I had enough travel rewards points to get off property hotel and flight for $0 for 7 people... that’s the only reason we did it. It is hot with the masks... I would never come in the summer months if you have to wear a mask.

We stopped at that Buc-ees on our way to Gulf Shores June of last year. I had never been in one, and was shocked at how large it was!!

You have made us want to do that trip, we will fly to LA as we love it there then travel down as you have, maybe not this time of year😄 we love Orlando have been coming for 35 years, we have had to cancel 4 holidays to Orlando now, booked to come out May 5th but can't see that happening, we will get back one day, stay safe and congratulations for coping so well in the snow. You deserve a good rest now. X
We are here at Disney World... my son asking if we will see the Woo... I said we switched places... we are here in sunny Florida and Disney, and the poor Woo is in snow. Soon we will be back in western IL. Good luck!
We cancelled our trip because of the masks and no meal plan...Still worth the big money?
@@TJDinMA honestly, I missed it so much yes we had to come back. My son was too little until now to ride splash mountain so he got to do that before they change it. I had enough travel rewards points to get off property hotel and flight for $0 for 7 people... that’s the only reason we did it. It is hot with the masks... I would never come in the summer months if you have to wear a mask.
@@TJDinMA I think the do nothing muzzles will be gone by this summer hopefully but they’re easing up on the rules by 2022 I heard but I think it will be before that. I’m guessing they won’t require them outside but might indoors still who knows, they got to keep theatrics up
