I believe that at the end of side A, when Minji erases half of her drawing, it represents how she (an idol) sees us (her fans). When we come to concerts, idols can only see us from the waist up! Idk this was just a thought but I can’t think of anything else😭😭😭 so like it’s fr a play on how we see NEWJEANS and how they see us. Oh god I love them sm and I rlly wish they’re alright especially during this tough time.
Very few people get this on the first watchthrough. You're amazing, everything you said was spot-on. People speculate the deer represents innocence. The only thing you might have missed is, the fan's name, Ban Heesoo (반희수), is remarkably close in pronunciation to "Bunnies", the name of the NewJeans fandom. She is not just a fan, she is all of us. Ban Heesoo even has "her" own channel that you can visit. The picture is blurry but I think the phone said 민지 (Minji) :D Yep, Haerin thinks she is a cat. Everyone calls her a cat all the time. Even in Ditto, remember "Kitty Kang", and her defending herself "I'm not a cat"? Danielle is the only one who still has a grasp on the real world (even breaking the fourth wall to demonstrate it)... but just barely ("We're filming a video right now... Aren't we?") I absolutely loved this twin release, it was not just good music, but conceptually so well thought out.
The only thing i'll add it about the deer. A deer staring at you is often a warning, or a signal for change. Used in many movies, like get out, etc. A deer caught in the headlights ... the deer staring into your eyes ... a metaphor for change or you will get stuck. That's why in ditto the deer only walks away from Heesoo when she lets go of NewJeans (her crutch for her pain by dropping the camera) and starts living in the real world. And OMG is the opposite ... it can happen both ways.
If you notice that there is also a "sixth" member of Newjeans or what other people say "ghost" in the OMG MV. she is always sitting in the back left corner seat holding a stuffed bunny doll which can also be represented as "us" the fans, the Bunnies you can see her during the VERY first scene in the night scene at the hospital (29:30) and multiple times near the end of the MV (you can see her clearly at 37:30). However, here's the twist, when "she" is not around during the night scene (e.g. 30:00 on the left seat), she is replaced with a teddy bear that symbolizes an "overprotective fan" (this theory is based on Hyein's fantasy at 33:20). And because the bear (or overprotective fans) are so deep into this "parasocial relationship" thing with their idol, the bear kills the prince AKA Danielle (or princess's lover) at 33:35 which in the process also kills the princess as well AKA Hyein for losing her love life, and at 33:50 we can see Hyein fades away like shes incomplete without the love of the others while staring at a "teddy bear". This is the most common thing that currently happens in the idol world, especially Korean and Japanese idols. this can also be interpreted that "sometimes overprotective fans do more harm and hurt than good to the people they stan". so this MV is also about the "duality" of fans, the ghost or the bear... and oh yeah the hater at the very end of the MV.
and also a nice little detail at 31:45 there are TWO Minji's dancing together indicate that Minji still has her split personality disorder, which one is the doctor's personality and the other one is herself.
I feel like most people don’t see it on the first watch, but in the Ditto mvs they’re actually mostly dancing the OMG choreo except for when the chorus comes in
I love your interpretation and how you understand the mv and song well! Both Ditto and OMG have multiple layers of meaning, some in relation to the lyrics of the song others seem to be a comment on idol-fan relationships and the idol industry in general. While Ditto focus on para-social relationship fans engage in with their favorite idols, OMG shows the different projection from fans into idols. Hanni's description of being an iPhone is the most direct reference to this, in my opinion. "Singing for you" or "existing for you" also fit's the way fan-idol relationships are often portrayed.

the last scenes for Ditto Side B also made my tears fall out of nowhere. I didn't even realize that I was crying I just felt sad.
