That shot of Vader’s helmet side really looks like live action. They did a great job

It definitely does sound similar
Vader had no lines in this scene, but he doesn’t need a lot of lines of dialogue to show you that he means business.

@@leonduncan3327No, the Inquisitor with the crow mask and droid eyes is unknown, though indeed it is the first Inquisitor Ahsoka encountered in Tales of the Jedi. Marrok is the one next to him with that Samurai mask, which Ahsoka encountered in the Ahsoka series. Interesting to See both were the very first in the order.
I did speculate back then that Marrok after the empire fell was a survivor and forgotten Inquisitor. They are both of some gas material.

Vader look here like true lord of the Sith, to be specific like ancient ones when "lords" were actual lords who command their multiple acolytes and disciples or lesser Siths
Yep. Kinda makes me hopeful we might go into the Old Republic Era of Star Wars Canon, where we can see how the Pre-Baneite Sith Hierarchy actually worked.

I like how his breathing slowed as he sat down, super realistic
His cameo may be short, which is a shame tbh, but now thinking about it, this is meant to represent his dominance and leadership as the governor of the Inquisitorious, and him speaking, like someone else shows, is him being all serious and to demonstrate his authority via sitting on his throne without uttering a word.
They really like to tease us with Vader in the clone wars animation. They need to start listening to fans and give us a Vader show or movie.
He has been all mutuel films and tv series I think is enough

Vader just sits down and doesn’t say a word, letting them squirm in his presence. Interesting to ponder Vader’s mindset. He’s still freshly burned and probably still in constant agony in his suit and still somewhat filled with regret at what his decisions cost him.
Imagine if Vader wasn’t injured, and regular old Anakin had walked in there. They would have all jumped up like “YOU?” I mean that was the original plan, Palpatine didn’t ever think Vader would be totally disguised after the war.

2 things to be upset about. Not seeing Vader in Bad Batch & not hearing him speak in this episode believing we were gonna hear James Earl Jones.

I hear people getting mad about Vader and Barriss not interacting. I hear that people are mad he doesn't absolutely destroy her. But I raise a counterpoint. Vader and Anakin are pretty much two different people.
Anakin is the one who loved Ahsoka. Anakin is the one who would've lashed out at Barriss and wiped the floor with her like he did back in the Clone Wars.
But the only thing Vader cares about is serving his master. To him, Anakin is dead. Everyone who was ever associated with him is dead, as well as his feelings for them. Without a connection to Ahsoka, seeing Barriss again means nothing. Barriss means nothing and Vader has no problem with her as long as she serves the Empire.
With Obi-Wan it was a bit different because he was responsible for trapping Vader in the suit and that was personal.
Yeah but if Padme walked in there right at that moment he would drop to his knees so…he’s selective about when he brings Anakin out.
Seeing Darth Vader was really cool. But I want more, this was so short. 😓

I’ve seen people get mad about Vader not doing much in this scene but it makes sense, the show is called tales of the empire. I feel like Vader would be more suited for a tales of the Sith series.

1:14 I think that music portrays what was happening inside Vader’s mind. He recognized Barris (probably after starting to turn around, as music started to escalate)), thought something like “Barris?” (notice that he was looking at her for a few seconds), and then when he sat and his breathing slowed, music’s tiny tension had resolved (please listen to it with headphones) and he probably thought something like “Her motives will serve us well”. He wasn’t angry at her, indeed she betrayed Ashoka which turned out to be one of the reasons why he turned to the dark side, but it was the past, and he no longer cared about it, because according to what he said “This is all there is”.
Imagine Boba Fett in this! Animated star wars was never my thing but this actually might be the way forward now, the animations have improved alot
Bariss is beyond lucky Vader didn't personally take care of her. And considering how badly Starkiller was treated in Legends even though Vader had no personal grudge with him, with what Bariss did, that's a colossal understatement.

I’m just sayin, I’ve got a lot of questions here. Barriss clearly had her mask off. So isn’t it plausible that Vader would have recognized her? I mean, Barriss is a face he wouldn’t forget after what she did to his Padawan.
Now if she had her mask ON, this would have made way more sense
Its not that he didn't recognize her, so much as Vader himself likes to pretend he and Anakin are two seperate entities, and does his best to keep that side of himself a secret. Its more the case of Vader has more to hide than Barriss in this context

Correct me if I'm wrong. Darth Sidious relocated Inquisitors to Nur permanently because of the incident involving Vader chasing rogue inquisitor that accidentally killed a senator. So is this takes place after that or this takes place shortly after the end of Episode III?

The Inquisitorius Program was one of many projects Palpatine had planned for in advanced and If you read Inquisitor Rise of the Red Blade you would know that Iskat Akaris was briefly held on Nur before being transferred to Coruscant to begin her training as an Inquisitor in 19 BBY.
To make a long story short, the fortress was already under construction prior to the start of the Jedi Purge and only served as the Inquisitors permanent headquarters after Iskat Akaris and Tualon Yaluna little senator killing incident on Coruscant.

I find the lack of the imperial march theme disturbing.
Now that I see it. I can't help but notice that Barris' helmet looks a lot like a complete version of her clone wars disguise.
It literally is ventress' helmet without the paint. quite a lazy design

i finally realized darth vaders character, he doesnt care for anyone from his past, they mean nothing to him other than the hate that drives him, but he feels nothing for anyone after his transformation and the death of his wife, all he is, is a depressed man who cares for nothing now and must move on from his life as to him nothing matters and he only serves the empire

Could be a cool concept but Ezra was one of those jedi that would never fully fall to the darkside maybe use it at time of crisis but that was when he was younger
I am disappointed that Vader is not in his EP3 suit since its right after EP3.
Actually it's not since the Inquisitor's fortress is here, when after ROTS it wasn't even around, so this may take place a year or months later depending on when 2 certain Inquisitor's trashed Coruscant.
@@SWDude2710Considering Barris was offered to become one of them maybe the night after the jedi purge and her training and the tryouts started right away its highly likley that all this is only a few days and weeks later. The fortress apparently was under construction long before, just like Tantiss and many other bases we saw in TBB must been planned and finished by Palpatine long before the empire. So was stardust (death star) already under construction before the empire. Palpatine apparently and obviously had to start the jedi purge earlier than he thought of.

Not gonna lie, I needed more out of this series. Episodes were a little too short, & not enough episodes at that. Star Wars needs to drop a series strictly focusing on the inquisitors & how they came to be. A little horror in the mix yknow?

James Earl Jones has retired from voice acting. And everyone thinks it would be disrespectful to find a new voice actor to replace him as Vader. They are trying to recreate Jones's voice using AI.

Crazy to me that in a show called "Tales of the Empire" Vader only has maybe 15 seconds of screen time. What in the world were they thinking? Tales of the Jedi was infinitely better IMO. So disappointed with how this turned out.

because all everyone wants is fan service. The only reason people liked jedi was because it had dooku, palpatine, yaddle and qui gon in it
To be fair Dooku, Qui-Gon Jinn are interesting characters and have alot of story to be told- Morgan Elisbeth isnt interesting character, more interested in Bailen and his padawan.
It's gotta be really bad then if that's the case. I didn't even like Tales of the jedi

I’m just getting of this…’oh it’s Vader again’ ya, again. Look, he’s a very creative character, but when he’s in just about everything now, doesn’t it just get boring? Don’t you people ever want to move on to something else? Witness brand new material?
I can’t wait when we move on from the skywalker era, and just have something actually well written or interesting like Lucas’ work…I’m personally just done with Star Wars until this occurs.
We waited a year for this. 6 meaningless 9 minute episodes. The Acolyte better be with the hype

Maybe it's just me, but the last thing I would ever do in Vader's presence is both put a helmet on and then speak. I'd be too horrified I would breathe too loudly, and he would respond with, "Are you... MOCKING me?!" There is no right answer there...
