Nice to see the guard having some upgrades. Do like the Krieg box, but I rather keep the Sentinel and arty over rough riders. Krieg is a nice addition, but there where only 2 major divergent books for the guard, Cadia and Catachan. The Vostroyan Firstborn apparently got lost in the warp unfortunately. For the 2nd largest group of warriors, after the orks, the guard have the least amount of variant armies.

4 deamon detachments that can be used along with bringing index deathwatch back kinda screams no codex coming for them. It seems like heres our fix for the problem we are about to give you. Ending the codex but heres an index to last through the end of the edition.
To be fair, all a codex really is in terms of gameplay usefulness *are* the detachments. This might just be GW trying their hand at going all digital for some factions, something I'm actually rather excited about. Just a sub for the app, all the rules, datasheets and detachments, no more overpriced and immediately redundant books sounds like music to my ears tbh.
Let's go, probably not gonna build Krieg for another year yet, at least not until I'm done with Grey Knights or Alpha Legion, but that's awesome. Might get that box
I'm so excited, krieg and the commisars are my favorite parts of the gaurd, I'm really hoping in the new addition the commisars are actually worth taking
With the exception of thst combat patrol, everything looks pretty nice, and I’m excited for what is coming up. The fact the new combat patrol totals up to 295 points is absolutely atrocious (for context the current box is around 50 points more)
at the moment yea, I'm guessing they are gonna make the rough riders a stronger unit and want people to buy the combat patrol and have them with the krieg riders to try and push away from tanks or pure infantry. So I would guess the rough riders will likely get a boost and a point increase to justify it.
Im surprised for the DKOK they didn’t present a standard infantry squad. So still the only options are the Forgeworld options, or the Kill Team box set for infantry.
Looking forward to seeing what the new detachments do. I'm especially interested in what they are going to do with Votann, because while they work well right now, they only do so because of their current detachment rule. I wonder if they get a complete overhaul where the Oathband rule is somehow partly rolled into the army rule, can't imagine how they would make anything else work otherwise. To be fair though, they also need more datasheets for more detachments to really make sense. Still, I'm curious.
@toomanyinterests2271 I'm not sure, I do have the kill team which made me happy that they were available in plastic. Unfortunately I may have to go the 3D printer route because I want to fill the full Krieg Army. Hopefully GW is smart enough to release troop choices in the Krieg models.
Love the new units, was super hyped for the phoenix lords, If I had to guess Ynnari having an alternative to Drukhari data sheet makes me think they want to remove more than just the haemonculus and I'm thinking they are probably going to remove vehicles like the boats and incubus + Drazhar since he was functionally a phoenix lord in terms of gameplay.
Incubi and Drazhar made no sense lorewise to be part of Ynnari. They literally hunt Aeldari and break their soul gems. From a gameplay perspective it would be a shame to see them go though, as 5 Incubi & Big D dropping out of a Falcon is hilarious. I don't think much else will go though tbh, I see no reason for the Drukhari who join with the Ynnari to leave their boats at home? I *do* think they just really want to separate the points costs and rules between Ynnari and Drukhari versions of units. Most of the reason Reaver Jetbikes went up last mfm was because of Ynnari, as was the case with Scourges a good while ago, and some of the datasheet rules for Drukhari stuff heavily relies on their army rule. You never see an Ynnari Archon for instance, as his wound rerolls on empowerment don't exist for Ynnari. Wyches are also quite terrible in Ynnari, could see them with 1 more strength on their melee weapons in that codex for instance. Those are just 2 examples where the Indexes of the two armies didn't really gel well for this subfaction.
In their article they said the aeldari will have 8 détachment, not 7 and "ghosts of the webway" is the harlequin one. If you're right about the strand of fate change into a detachment it's such a great thing, most of our units are overpriced ( like the avatar of khaine compared to the c'tan for exemple ) because of the strand of fate, if that become a detachment rule they will finaly be able to price the unit correctly.
Pretty happy with my current Krieg cavalry and command squad conversions. The grenediers look cool but I'm afraid we're about to see a stealth price increase.

This might just be GW trying their hand at going all digital for some factions, something I'm actually rather excited about. Just a sub for the app, all the rules, datasheets and detachments, no more overpriced and immediately redundant books sounds like music to my ears tbh.
As far as I can concerned, at least 3 out of the 5 death riders in the squad share their mounts’ poses with those Darkoath riders.
Those Krieg look amazing, even for Trench Crusade!
The Krieg box looks cool.
Besides the Eldar update which is magnificent, little thing I'm hype for is Rogal Dorn Tank Commanders!
I hope the kreig command squad can attach to the engineers and scout. Will be a fun mortal wounds bomb to yeet across the board in a taurox if so.
Krieg reveal yearn me for bicycle unit Krieg
They did a great job this time around with the reveal show.
These look so, so good. Definitely going to go for the Krieg sets.
Best previews in a longgg time!
Brand new phoenix lord 🎉
Warp Spiders!!!! Finally!!!! it has been so long!!!
I'm sad that a plastic macharius hasn't been revealed and it's now been removed from the store but the kreig models help fill the hole.
I'm sad the scions don't get a detachment
Im surprised for the DKOK they didn’t present a standard infantry squad. So still the only options are the Forgeworld options, or the Kill Team box set for infantry.
Oh, they cooked with this one. Hotpot all winter. Man, what a release.
Finally a GOOD reveal show, I guess 5th time's the charm
I've been desperately wanting a Krieg IG army for YEARS. Looks like I can start now.
Only thing I am wondering is what about basic troops, the Kill Team is gone so are you going to have Cadia and Kaskirin with your Krieg artillery?
@toomanyinterests2271 I'm not sure, I do have the kill team which made me happy that they were available in plastic. Unfortunately I may have to go the 3D printer route because I want to fill the full Krieg Army. Hopefully GW is smart enough to release troop choices in the Krieg models.
Those flamers would be deadly to set up on a home objective. Even better if enemies drop at 3 inches.
Death korps has a terrain twister!
This coming out the same time as Old World Empire stuff I keep was a double coordinated whammy to the wallet.
I'm really happy with the eldar reveals
Pretty happy with my current Krieg cavalry and command squad conversions. The grenediers look cool but I'm afraid we're about to see a stealth price increase.
Damn, man, I've been waiting years for a new Baharroth and Swooping Hawks.
This is an awesome time I play Eldar and Astra Militarum
30 new detachments? Hot damn.
Well, the role and rules of the Fire Operator OBVIOUSLY will be to ... coordinate the fire, d'uh!
