Out of these, currently using the RHB Shell Credit Card (weekday driver) and the Maybank 2 Platinum cards. Would say that the HLB Wise Credit Card which I’m also using is better than the UOB One card though, with the only caveat being that the 8% only applies on weekends, hence being my weekend driver before switching to the Maybank 2 Amex.
Hi bro, the Maybank 2 Gold/Platinum got 2 cards respective for Visa & Amex right. Do this mean u need to pay double for the annual credit card tax? Rm25 x 2 = Rm50?
@@muhammadazim4029 Unfortunately yes. The annual service tax is RM50 as they’re seen as 2 separate credit cards (despite them being bundled together). Someone correct me if I’m wrong as don’t have the card but think the same applies for similar bundle cards like the Public Bank Quantum Visa + Master.
For Standard Chartered card, i dont think the RM60 is lump all together into one category. The statement said (which means RM20 for each category, subject to the cashback cap in each spend tier). Correct me if i am wrong. :D
Great video! Thanks so much for the information. Just a question, you mentioned that the biggest downside to the RHB Shell Credit Card was it is not supported by Apple Pay. But I just did a quick check and I think RHB recently just announced that their cards are now supported by Apple Pay. Would that mean this will be the superior cashback credit card now? 😆
Good sharing brother, really appreciates it. Would be better if you could come up with chart for those benefits and catches in future. If you have one for the current one, please share. Thank you.
I understand that the annual wave for RHB Shell credit is 195 but waived when swipe min 24 times on subs year.. Does it mean that we swipe 'literally' on terminal to make payment or contactless payment considered as swiping ? Hope can clarify here! Thank you for the video!
I watched the other video on UOB one card saying that the cashback is on quarterly basis and the Bank will select the lowest spending of the month for the cashback?
Hi, regarding the uob one card, if using Grab made payment for a bill like astro mobile is entitled for cashback, can i top up grab the ewallet using this card ?
Great video! I got the standard chartered card but im not too happy with the high minimum spending. Rather try the uob one or farm travel points How long should I wait after activation to cancel without affecting credit score?
Hi, regarding the shell visa credit card, if we spend above rm1000 for utilities online, spend groceries the max cap for rm50 enough or need to spend more than that category?
Hey if utilities alone is 1k spend then you’ll already get the RM50 sorted. The rest you can spend on whatever category. That’s what I do too except with e wallets

That’s their interest charges if you make late payments. So they’re saying RM4.5k is the max they’ll charge you in interest if you have a lot of balance outstanding

Thanks bro 🙏
Nice! Thanks for sharing 👍

Hahaha yep so happy about it 😂 in all seriousness the downside of that card is the high min spend. If you spend that much anyway it’s all good

Cashback from Non-Shariah compliant credit cards can be considered Halal?
Can you talk about secured credit cards in Malaysia?
Haven’t done much research on it but my brother has one, will consider it!
Still not much info on it. I've managed to get the Hong Leong one and you don't need to give salary slip so it's quite handy 👌

Contactless should count!
How about making online payments? Whether it's settling bills or making purchases with a credit card online, is this still considered a "swipe"?
I believe it counts too but best to check with them
May I know for utilities, direct debit counted or not, or just contactless only
Basically you top up rm2500 you get rm25 since 1% service charge 🤣
Which CC applications are the fastest for the approval and collection?
Not sure, all seem to be roughly the same from my experience
Standard chartered quite expensive for annual fee
