Today I go through my 4 favourite cash back credit cards for Malaysians in 2024. I'm a huge fan of credit cards and an even bigger fan of those that give cash back.
In fact I only use the ones that reward me for using it, getting just over RM100 a month from cash back.

Nice! Thanks for sharing 👍
Steady la mir, nice to see you doing so well!
Thanks bro 🙏
Fantastic video! Would love to know what are some of the best air miles credit cards that you recommend
Haven’t done any research on it 🥲 will consider a video in the future!
Which airlines? I’ve looked into this before.
@@PassionPno airasia, singapore and malaysia airlines, the usual suspects
@@jaysonnwong AirAsia and MAS is Alliance Bank's Visa Infinite.
@@jaysonnwong KrisFlyer is AMEX Platinum Charge Card for local, online, groceries, fashion, airline spending. UOB Visa Infinite for overseas spending.
Good sharing brother, really appreciates it. Would be better if you could come up with chart for those benefits and catches in future. If you have one for the current one, please share.
Thank you.
Comparison chart? That’s smart, will do it up and post on IG :)
I understand that the annual wave for RHB Shell credit is 195 but waived when swipe min 24 times on subs year.. Does it mean that we swipe 'literally' on terminal to make payment or contactless payment considered as swiping ? Hope can clarify here! Thank you for the video!
Contactless should count!
How about making online payments? Whether it's settling bills or making purchases with a credit card online, is this still considered a "swipe"?
I believe it counts too but best to check with them
Just an input for standard chartered 12:11 should it be Rm20 cap per category?
You’re right, seems like it’s actually RM20 each 🤔 not sure if I missed this or they changed it but thanks for pointing it out!
Great video! I got the standard chartered card but im not too happy with the high minimum spending. Rather try the uob one or farm travel points
How long should I wait after activation to cancel without affecting credit score?
Not aware that cancelling cards impact credit score 🤔 think you’re fine even if it’s 3-6 months. But yeah uob is a lot easier to hit
Cashback from Non-Shariah compliant credit cards can be considered Halal?
Rhb shell credit card auto billing such as insurance premium coway netflix all eligible for cashback?
This one I’m not sure. Netflix definitely but the others idk
@@MillennialFinanceMalaysia okay 👍🏻
Hi, regarding the uob one card, if using Grab made payment for a bill like astro mobile is entitled for cashback, can i top up grab the ewallet using this card ?
Yep if you top up grab with this card you’ll be entitled for the e wallet cashback
@@MillennialFinanceMalaysia can use scan qr code from e wallet if top up by uob card ?
Yep can
when i read the pds, i just dont understand about Fixed Management Fee (FMF) is it we have to pay RM4500 per month? im confused
That’s their interest charges if you make late payments. So they’re saying RM4.5k is the max they’ll charge you in interest if you have a lot of balance outstanding
Hi, how about affin duo+ ? Does anyone use it ? Contactless transactions are used for every mcc such as petrol groceries and shopping mall all ?
Decent option too. I considered it before but didn’t end up going for it
@@MillennialFinanceMalaysia owhh ok2..I'm looking for apply this card
Out of these, currently using the RHB Shell Credit Card (weekday driver) and the Maybank 2 Platinum cards. Would say that the HLB Wise Credit Card which I’m also using is better than the UOB One card though, with the only caveat being that the 8% only applies on weekends, hence being my weekend driver before switching to the Maybank 2 Amex.
Ye it’s good but I can’t have 2 weekend only cards, we’d have to spend too much 😂
Hi bro, the Maybank 2 Gold/Platinum got 2 cards respective for Visa & Amex right. Do this mean u need to pay double for the annual credit card tax? Rm25 x 2 = Rm50?
@@muhammadazim4029 Unfortunately yes. The annual service tax is RM50 as they’re seen as 2 separate credit cards (despite them being bundled together). Someone correct me if I’m wrong as don’t have the card but think the same applies for similar bundle cards like the Public Bank Quantum Visa + Master.
@@muhammadazim4029yes
How about hong leong wise card?
It’s decent but for my use not as good as thenothers
For Standard Chartered card, i dont think the RM60 is lump all together into one category. The statement said (which means RM20 for each category, subject to the cashback cap in each spend tier). Correct me if i am wrong. :D
Eh really? Thought it was merged bcs that’s how they’re showing it on the website 🤔
@@MillennialFinanceMalaysia RM60 separate category
bro how about HSBC Amanah MPower Platinum?
I have it too, but not my fav. You have to spend quite a lot to get it and the cashback isn’t as good as the rhb one for me
@@MillennialFinanceMalaysiaAlright but i have another question. For UOB one classic, I need to spend atleast rm500 a month. Lets say that
Petrol - RM150
Dining - RM150
Groceries - RM150
Grab - RM0
Others - RM50
Total spend: RM500
Do I will get the maximum cashback rm40++? Or i will not collect rm10 cashback from Grab categories since i did not spend with grab?
You won’t get the grab one
4:08 UOB one card petrol maximum RM40 per month ? Even platinum card is capped at RM15 isn’t it ?
Oh I meant 40 in total for all categories
Can you talk about secured credit cards in Malaysia?
Haven’t done much research on it but my brother has one, will consider it!
Still not much info on it. I've managed to get the Hong Leong one and you don't need to give salary slip so it's quite handy 👌
Does anyone apply via credit card ringgitplus ? Is it safe to apply ?
From my experience yes, done it a few times. We don’t pay them anything btw
Wait.. u have credit card and ewallet? Isn't redundant?
Not all places accept credit card, so we top up e wallet with credit card and pay for it haha
uob is best one..little spending,max cashback..try 2 uob card..hahaha..hey..cimb petronas platinum not best?😊
Yep it’s the best now imo haha. CIMB one is ok, just not the best. Only Petronas stuff has super high cashback 😅
UOB one for lyfe
It’s a good card haha, love the low min spend
Shopee can use Amex….???
Yep can
Affin duo vs UOB one ?
Oh yeah I remember the Affin duo being decent too. But still think uob is better bcs it covers more category and gives more cashback too
I think you got typo on mbb cap at rm50?
Ahh yes you’re right, it’s RM50!
